  its gpu is overheating and acceleration prevents your cpu load and speed, have you changed termo glue on video chip you?

  I am a Toshiba Satellite M100 series owner (Core Duo T2300, X 1400, etc.). The problem is that I can't analyze the CPU temperature variations in such popular application such as Everest or Notebook Hardware Control.   It s nothing unusual that the touchpad would be hot from the CPU and cooling modules are placed near the touchpad.
  So in my opinion, you shouldn't be worried about it.

  In addition the 80 c is rich but not too high. AFAIK the CPU temperature can reach 100 c max, but I think that your laptop would be closed before CPU should reach this temperature.

  What you could do is to clean the vents. Sometimes the cooling modules may not cool properly because the vents are blocked.
