CPU wanted

Where can I get a CPU for my HP Pavilion dv6-1214ax?

I think HP 532120-001 part number.

An alternative CPU that would be appropriate would be ok.

I am currently in Sydney Australia and would like to know the local HP support direct contacts.

In the Solomon Islands a local technician told me that I need the replacement CPU

Please notify.

Thank you.

(I have an i7 no i5 or i3, I am trying to run Adobe SpeedGrade and I'm poor so 400 to 500 for a new computer is out of the question that this processor along hurts that cost me wise).

Processors that are circled are the only ones to be published as compatible with the motherboard of your laptop. I've also identified your system and processor type. It seems that there is an Intel Core i5 CPU generation, which is an appropriate upgrade.  No processor Intel Core i7 processors are compatible with you systemboard in generating current or earlier of the Intel Core CPU range. the processor i5 - 480 M will be a some bump in performance. the disadvantage is that it is still only a CPU dual core. • Wanting to upgrade the CPU in the satellite L20 196

    Hello

I'm new to this forum but have owned this laptop new a moment right now. As time has passed I noticed he has aged rapidly in recent months and needs a boost of speed.
I upgraded the RAM, a matching pair to 1 GB (896 MB showing, guess that's graphic shared?), but still not quite quickly enough.

My question is, can I upgrade the processor to a Pentium M or at least a faster Celeron?
If Yes, then what is the best possible processor that will be compatible? Autour Googling, I see I'm not alone on this idea, but all the info and comments where other L20 and not my model 196 in question.
Do I have reason to believe that the limits are 400 Mhz FSB, 1.5 GHz and 478 pins for this laptop?
Finally, I replaced and rebuilt a lot of PC in the past. A laptop (my L20) is much more difficult to remove and replace a CPU?

Thank you and look forward to any comments thereon.

In General, the CPU upgrade is not supported. More info on what you can read under http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB9401AX0001R01.htm

To be clear. Your Satellite L20 is really not the best laptop and on the scale of 1 to 5 when 5 of the best, I give your laptop 2. This laptop is designed for day-to-day activities like Office, internet, watching movies, listening to music and writing emails. So I think that with the preinstalled operating system and well set to own and 1 GB of RAM, it must have enough power for this.

I don't know what you want to do with this good old classic, but if you need laptop with more power for games or multimedia activities, I think it's time for the new laptop computer.

Please don't be crazy on me because I did not offer exact answer, but I just want to be realistic and honest with you.

    Here is the Manual:

    Repair manuals

You can remove your AMD A4 processor and install a

    AMD A8 - 3520M 2.50 GHz processor (1.6 GHz FSB, 4, 0 - MB L2 cache, quad core, 35 W)

The manual shows how to do it. The A8 processor will be a quick replacement; You can reuse the heat sink and won't need any part other than the processor. While you are there, it will give a good opportunity to clean the inside and apply new thermal paste between the top of the processor and the lower part of the radiator. Clean the blades of the fan with a q-tip with alcohol, then wipe each blade with a lint cloth carefully to make sure that everyone is clean as a whistle. On the A-series AMD when you upgrade the processor, actually get you a small bump in video performance. The processor is actually called an APU and is somewhat simplified, the CPU and video card. Normally I advice against upgrades the processor laptop, but on this one particular type, I think it's logical given that the processors are cheap, because there is not much demand for them. Intels are a lot more. After the back if you need assistance. Good luck.

You can upgrade to an SSD.

The simplest method is to use an SSD as the Corsair Force 3 and don't forget that you buy the kit of migration.

The migration kit comes with cloning software and a usb to SATA power cable that connects again SSD.

It is recommended that you purchase and SSD that is approximately 256 GB in quality if you can find one that is affordable.

  • I want to upgrade CPU on Envy M6 - 1153sr

I want to upgrade my CPU on my computer laptop envy m6-1153sr and I know it's possible, but im not sure I can put what ever processor that have the same socket as i7 and i5 Office have the same fasteners 1155, and so I can buy a good intel core i7 to as Amazon and then put in my laptop?

Well, it's not a socket 1155. It is an office and yours is a mobile processor, socket FCPGA988. You can upgrade the processor, but it will cost more than the value of the laptop. If you want to go faster, consider a solid state drive, not a processor upgrade.

  • where can I get CPU temprature in windows 7 (I know it's possible in the bios), but I want to know if this is also possible in windows 7

    Hello

where can I get the CPU temprature in windows 7, I mean in what section of the control panel? I know that you can search the temprature of processor in the bios, but I want to know if this is also possible in the windows auto.

    Thank you

    Johan

    Hi Johan,.

A processor overheating may fail or cause damage to other components in your PC

Unfortunately, there is no built-in in Windows 7 utility that allows to monitor the temperature of the processor.

There are some third party software that you can install the same.

Note: The use of third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

    It will be useful.

    Thank you and best regards,

  • I want to improve my card mother and CPU on my PC. Can I use transfer windows settings for it?

I want to improve my card mother and CPU on my PC. I like to keep all my settings from my games, etc, so I don't have to buy/purchase new and purchase/buy a new OS Win. I am running Win 7 Pro. What is the best way to address the issue? I keep my OS on a SSD and all the other stuff is on a separate HARD disk. Basically, I need to install the new chipset and other pilots MB.

You can save files and settings and restore to the new installation of Windows, but the games cannot be guaranteed. Just give a try. If it works, it's fine. If this isn't the case, you must reinstall the games.

  • I want to monitor the disk space and CPU on a windows - DONT see machine

I want to check the disk space and CPU on windows server 2003 box - DON'T see pltform for windows box all 'fileserver mount' or 'CPU '.  I do not see these services
for my UNIX/LINUX platforms. What controls what in health platform services, and WHY doesn't show the windows platform the platform services. I have Server 3.02
talk to the windows client running 3.02 box. I just reinstalled the client on windows
box and still the same. Nothing in the health platformservices). I restart the HQ server and its
client also. NOT knowing how to manage the windows box. I can go in manually and add an assembly file server service and name it and then this name appears in the services of the platform
health. I shouldn't this for CPU, NetworkServer or mount fileserver interface. ???  I talked to John Mark Walker and is well why this is happening?

I'm not an expert but I have encountered this problem also.  That's why I think it happened to me.

    1. I installed the server and checked it was running and I was able to connect to Headquarters.
    2. I installed my agent on another box and as soon as he said it started successfully killed him so that I could go ahead with the installation of the agent as a service.
    3. I installed the agent as a service and started it.
    4. this particular agent in central administration did not show one of the hard disks or WIN32.

I fixed it by deleting the agent and put it back.  After you start the agent for the first time and it communicates with the server let it run for a while before you kill to install as a service.

    1. stop the service of the agent on the windows machine
    2. open your command line, change to your agents directory and run hq-agent you to uninstall as service
3 remove the data of your agent directory folder
    4. use the download of SERVER installation to install your agent
    a. by running setup.bat - full (option 3 for the installation of the agent)
5 finish the installation of the agent so that your window says 'agent started successfully.
    6. DO NOT CLOSE THIS WINDOW
    7. connect to your HQ and accept your inventory of auto-discovery, access this resource, and you should see that it is only partially completed
    8. Refresh every few minutes and you should see all the icons of availability to change green checks and your additional question as disks and CPU added.
    9. once filled close your agent, install it as a service, and then start it again.

I was killing my initial discovery officer before he could finish, looks like you have the same symptoms.

  • Help! Not clear the system specifications? Desktop compaq CQ5320Y... Want to upgrade CPU

I have a Presario CQ5320Y desktop computer and I was looking at upgrading the processor to an AMD Phenom II X 4 965 Black Edition Deneb 3.4 GHz Quad-Core, in the specification system, it says the TDP is 95 Watts, but he has forward processer mentioned, who take 125 watts according to AMD, on the list of upgradable processor. I don't know if I blow on the motherboard or if it is designed to take this particular amoun just for this processor t?  Help!

    Here are the specifications of your desktop Compaq Presario CQ5320Y and its card mother M2N68-(Narra6). Based on the specifications, this model supports the following processors;

    Type of socket: AM3

    TDP: 95 watts

    AMD Phenom II X 4 9xx/9xxe/8xx Quad-Core (Deneb)

    AMD Phenom II X 3 Triple-Core (Heka) 7xx/7xxe

    AMD Phenom II X 2 5xx (Callisto)

    II AMD Athlon X 4 6xx/6xxe (undactylopodite)

    AMD Athlon II X 3 4xx/4xxe (Rana)

    AMD Athlon II X 2 2xx/2xxe (Regor)

    AMD Sempron 1xx (Sargas)

It's very clear... the system supports a subset of the list up to a maximum of 95 watts. If the CPU is valued at more than 95 watts, it is not supported. In addition, "Black Edition" processors are not listed and therefore are not taken in charge.

  • I want to upgrade CPU on Satellite A105

I installed my ram from 1 to 3 concerts in the hope that it would stimulate running some games.
He did, but they are still a bit hectic. There a t2050 @ 1.66 Ghz. I'm looking at a pentium 4 661 w / 3.6 Ghz but not sure if it is compatible with my laptop.

Except that I have xp media center, 100 GB HDD, 1 TB external edition.
Not really a lot of new games but classics such as swat 4, series rainbow 6, half-life 2 (which works fine now), things like that.

This is my first thread anywhere, thanks in advance for any help.

    Hello

    First the CPU upgrade is not recommended because of some reasons;
-superior performance.-> heat dissipation means more-> means-> temperature more high risk of overheating
-Since the BIOS BIOS compatibility issues has not been tested and configured for the new processors.

But in General, you can use just only processors that are compatible with the chipset of your laptop. Search in the chipset and on the Intel page which processors may be compatible with the chipset.

But according to my experience, that upgrading the CPU will lead to performance of course the CPU harder is best for gaming, but you won't see much difference as good graphics card is also very important for games.
