Cq58 Compaq: Compaq CQ58 - device to boot not found

Compaq CQ58

Hello

When you turn on I get

Not found boot device

Please install the operating system on your hard drive.

Hard drive (3f0)

f2...........................

visit hp.com...

And nothing else

Then I do the "F2" as follows:

UEFI V 1.6.0.0 - BIOS

visit...

... Past the memory test
... Past HD disk check

I go to f10

> F9 message load setup defaults > Yes > f10 save and exit > Yes

No improvement even if there is a life in there cos the disc or the fan turns

I think the next step is to redo any os USB

Cannot find links suggested to reboot on HP site - they go absolutely nowhere, unnecessary.

This is my son's laptop computer

It loaded windows 10

a windows 8

do not know what he was doing, but he said it worked on 10 for a while.

Why microsoft allow minors to mess up so bad? In any case...

I don't know if he'll want to restore as windows8 or 10

I don't know if it's 32-bit or 64-bit in any case

Who tells us of the f10...

third line up always suggest windows 8?

Here is the capture of the f10 camera

All ideas

No tellings off the power. No closing the stable door once the horse has bolted.

Means and just before useful suggestions please.

Thank you very much.

Concerning

Wilf's dad

Hello

No matter if update 8 - also long as 10 Windows activated successfully, you can use the "clean installation" method

It is possible that if the machine had just been "updated", the hard stop interrupted files system updated and this can lead to this kind of question.

As a general rule, a clean installation of Windows 10 has less problems problems/performance than the upgrade from a previous version of Windows.

Kind regards

  • I hate my kid? Peripheral Windows7 to boot not found etc.

Leave my laptop for my 28 years.  He came back with a completely black splash screen; with the disturbing message: not found boot device.  Please install an operating system on your hard drive.  I hate my child!

It is unlikely that it was his fault. These things just happen. Frequently, there may be corruption of the BCD of Windows bootloader that is causing this or a faulty hard drive.

What you need is an installation of Windows 7 DVD or usb to the same version that is installed. Demarrer start on it, and then select Startup Repair.

If you don't have that should have and created a set of recovery disks or recovery disk support, you can use that as a last resort. The Recovery Manager will return your laptop to a good working state, but it will delete all data on the hard drive.

Help us help you by displaying the following information.

    1. the complete model number and the laptop Nr - see web document this HP if you do not know how to locate the product number or model number.

    2. the full version and the name of the operating system you use (IE Windows 7 64-bit).

  • Satellite C660 - 2 EV starts plus-Boot not found Bishop

I don't know how but my grandson has seriously broken the Satellite C660 - 2 EV

Boot from the disk - Boot Mgr not found

Boot from the recovery partition - Boot Mgr not found.

Boot from an installation (generic) Windows 7 disk - boots, begins to install, finds, he does not have a required driver (but don't tell me what it is). Allows me to access the drives C:, D:, E:, and X:

Boot from recovery Toshiba DVD. White bar gets about 25% on the whole of the screen then stops with "You have removed a USB support during installation" (or something like that, laptop currently in pieces).

Removed and replaced the memory and DVD player. Removal of the HARD drive connected to my PC via the USB adapter and scanned the two visible partitions (300 GB each) at the level of bad sector. No problems.

    Help! I'm out of options.

Laptop must be functional (basically) as it starts from DVD (non-Toshiba).

HARD drive seems OK when verified externally and start (Non-Toshiba)

    What remains?

Everything that you have done is good, and I would do the same tests.

The value of the default BIOS and test it with another HARD disk, if you can get one for testing purposes.
I can't say for sure, but somehow, I feel THAT HDD is the troublemaker.
Try installing the DVD of initial recovery on the new HARD drive.

  • Device USB-6009, not found problem

    Hi all

So my VI and USB-6009 worked fine until recently.  I noticed the VI was read or graphing correctly the analog input channel information.  My firmware is up to date, but I noticed a problem.  In Isdaq, he will recognize the USB-6009 case is connected, then when I start my VI and to stop it, I double check Isdaq for my device and it doesn't recognize any device.  I have to unplug the daq and reconnect to Isdaq to recognize the usb-6009 case again.  But whenever I start my VI, it does not collect all the data and makes the unrecognizable device.  Do you know what could be the problem?  Is attached the VI I ran in case you want to watch.  Its working fine so far.

BTW, I'm under Labview on Mac OS X

    Thanks for the help!

    Hello Solis,

I recommend you to make changes to the parallel tasks to use the cluster of the error to force the order of execution, given that NEITHER-DAQmx Base is not multi-thread safe (review NOR-DAQmx Readme). Please check if this alleviates the problem.

    Thanks in advance

    PS Sorry for my English

Hello, I have the same problem, I used the Dell Mobile Broadband utility and run the self diagnostic, and the result was down: HardwareTest. I guess that the unit is not installed or not connected to the motherboard. How can I activate this device? There must be a setting in the BIOS, or something is not pluged in correctly for this laptop. also, mine is a Latitude E6410 with Win7.

I saw no response for this post.

Please, the USB Modem is very annoying.

  • AUS auto fill device seems to not work.

I'm running CSM 4.0.1 and followed the instructions on the use of CSM for updating a filewall ASA5540 through aus I created a policy to the CSM AUS IP address and credentials and chose "Peripheral" to deploy on.

Page 1-3 of "Getting started with AUS", he says: when you use the Security Manager to deploy to a device via AUS configurations, the device is automatically added to inventory AUS once the device contacts successfully AUS and retrieces configuration. This is the normal method for adding devices. »

FSU fails the attempt with this error message:

CALLHOME-DB-DEVICE_NOT_FOUND: the Record for the unit with the remote control-ASA-1 ID is not found. Action: Make sure that the device has been added to the FSU and the configuration of device contains the appropriate device ID.

And ASA (8.4.1) with active debugging device, displays this error msg:

Client to remote-ASA-1 # Auto-update: DeviceDetails Envoy/setting to automatic update / AutoUpdateServlet of the 164.72.44.162 Server
Auto-update client: treatment 164.72.44.162 Server UpdateInfo
Auto-update client: failed to contact the: https://164.72.44.162/autoupdate/AutoUpdateServlet, reason: ErrorList error code: CALLHOME-DB-DEVICE_NOT_FOUND, description: save for the unit with the remote control-ASA-1 ID could not be found.

He denounces the device ID is not found. But the host name of the ASA is identical to the device at the WSC ID.

Is there something I'm missing or not do to make this work?

    Hello Jeff,.

There are few things to make the FSU work, we will try to list and make sure that we have everything in place.

    1. we need to set up the device to let do via CSM aus:

in the peripheral view select your firewall and configure your AUS server via

    Device Admin-> server-> AUS

The ip address will be the same that the CSM and credential even allows you to connect to the server of CSM

2 - deploy to the ASA to ensure this is the config AUS. The deployed config should look like:

    Auto-update hostname device id
    source/autoupdate/AutoUpdateServlet auto-update server https://*@

    3. ensure that the hostname of the device is EVEN under the display name in the CSM (you can check by right click on the device and click Properties of the device)

    4. we are now ready to set up the AUS server. Right-click on the device and select properties of the device. In the automatic update (bottom) section

Fill in the fields by putting all the necessary information. The ip address and server name must be the same as the CSM (AUS runs on the same server)

and the credentials are the same used to log in to the GUI CSM and used at the point 1

5 - once this is configured, you are ready for the first deployment. It is important to deploy just as the CSM must create the right configuration file on the server of the FSU. After the first installation, you should be able to see the device listed in the portal AUS (under devices)

Let me know if it worked.

    original title: Bluetooth connectivity problems

    Hello

I own both a T-900 of Fujitsu (64-bit Windows 7) and a HTC Rezound and have been using bluetooth to transfer files between them until a few days ago. Out of nowhere, bluetooth does not work anymore and now shows that "Bluetooth device" driver is not found. I tried to uninstall and reinstall it from many different sites, try different, but for some reason bluetooth packages some do not fix the problem of Bluetooth device. My computer can not find other bluetooth devices, and my phone does not recognize my computer as a bluetooth, even with the two device are detectable. If someone had a similar problem or knows how to fix Bluetooth device? Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Hi autumnv92,

Were there any changes made to the computer before the question?

Check out the following and check:
    Method 1:
Open the hardware and devices Troubleshooter

    Method 2:

    See the following steps:
    1. turn on your bluetooth device
    2. right-click the icon for the device in the system status bar
    3. choose / click on "show bluetooth devices.
    4. There will be a list of devices you never associate (like your phone, another laptop, etc.).
