• Spellchecker drives me crazy

  Is it possible to disable the spell 'feature' correction in Skype for Windows 8, or at the very least make it actually work? I have Windows 8 with the Spanish (Spain) by default entry/method/etc. language implemented in the Windows options, but SkypeW8 points out almost every word as bad. Even more infuriatingly, it will be "correct" a few words quite right for BAD alternatives. For example if I write "hecho" ('fact', 'done') it will automatically turn it into 'echo' ('for', 'expel'), which is absurd in the context.

  I tried to check the language settings in Windows 8, they are fine and no other application gives me bad. I tried to disable the automatic spelling correction first and then even the spell checking in Windows 8 Metro settings (settings of laptop-> General-> spelling) nothing works, SkypeW8 simply ignored my settings. I tried to add a language English (UK) to see if the spell checker got right English... the same problem did surface, with no word never acknowledged as correct.

  If you please, that gives crazy me and I can't use same Skype for desktop PC because I have a unrelated problem that won't let me write all text messages (people here, it's because of some 'Youtube MP3 downloader' but I don't have such a program). If I downgrade to El Capitan, this new file system will always be be raging in me? If it is irreversible, I'll be forced to buy Windows 10 and use it with Boot Camp! Why Apple thinks it makes life better by forcing us all to re-learn everything we thought we knew already? These people don't realize that it's uncomfortable to start from scratch each year? This is what happens when people feel frustrated. They become angry and act like I do now. Good thing I don't own a gun.

• The fan works like a crazy and super fast drain battery after installation of Sierra

  I installed Sierra on my MacBook Pro, the fan works like crazy and the battery is empty after about 1.5 hours. Which never happened before. I'm only using Safari and Mail in the moment. I talked to Apple Support and they suggested to reset the SMC, but this brought no improvements. What can I do else? Again, I plan to install the El captain...

  I had this problem just after I installed Sierra on my MacBook Air.  First I tried to reset the SMC and the LANDAU.  This does not prevent fans constantly in the course of execution.  I then used the activity monitor to see what was possibly strain my system.  I noticed the "DCs" process was always sucking up to more than 90% of my CPU usage.  However, others said that it is normal after an upgrade of the OS and it should fall back down once the computer finishes its initial picture and analysis of the files.  So I run my MBA plugged nonstop for 36 hours in a row and the fans just kept running so that the process of "DCs" continued to drain at > 90% of CPU usage.  I also looked carefully at the activity monitor and saw that tasks such as analysis of photos had their own separate process "DCs".  So I dug further into what the devil "DCs" was really do with a lot of CPU resources.  Long story short, I found that there is some glitch in Sierra which causes the macOS stuck on a process involving the keychain and iCloud.

  That's what I did to fix this keychain/iCloud which led to "DCs" fans of triggering and overloading the CPU to be always on:

  -In the activity monitor, I used Force Quit to kill the process that involved the keychain

  -In the activity monitor, I then Force Quit the process that involved icloud

  -In activity monitor, I finally Force closed the process "DCs". (I found that I could not simply force quit 'DCs' without first allowing the keychain & iCloud first)

  -After all, I restarted the computer and fans were finally off the coast!  I open the activity monitor and saw that 'DCs' has is no longer hogging up the CPU usage.  Photoanalysis process were still running in the background at 40-50% CPU use with no trigger unwanted system fans.  the iCloud synchronization and my keychain also worked very well.

  I'm finally able to use Sierra without my fans blazing out of control.  It took me a while to get this sorted out.  Hope this helps to save you a few headaches and time until Apple can get counts that there is this Sierra software glitch they need to address.

  This isn't a failure or defect.

  Zoom (an accessibility function) has been activated on your watch and you are zoomed accidentally tapping on the screen in a particular way.

  • To turn off the Zoom:
    • On your iPhone, in the application of the watch, go to: My Watch (tab) > general > accessibility > Zoom - put it off.
    • Or on your watch, go to: homescreen (via a simple press on the digital Crown) > (cog icon) settings > general > accessibility > Zoom - tap and enable / disable.
  • If the accessibility shortcut has been enabled and configured for the Zoom, you can also enable and disable functionality more conveniently:
    • On your watch: quickly press the digital Crown (the round button) three times.
  • To set up accessibility shortcuts:
    • On your iPhone, in the application of the watch, go to: Watch My > general > accessibility > accessibility shortcut (bottom) > select / deselect Zoom.

  Since there are different options/settings of the standard page in a new window or a new tab, could you confirm if you have one or two of these problems:

  • Ask if poster at the start, in a new window (Cmd + n), and when you click the Home button
  • Ask appears when you open a new tab in the same window (Cmd + t)

  For these two problems, the first thing to check is an unwanted extension. You can view, disable and often remove the extensions on page modules. Either:

  • CMD + SHIFT + a (Windows: Ctrl + Shift + a)
  • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

  In the left column, click Extensions. Then take a critical look at the extensions listed on the right side. If in doubt, disable or remove if possible. Remember that all extensions are optional, none come with Firefox.

  • Blank tab = > subject: empty
  • Built-in Firefox homepage = > topic: welcome
  • Any other page = > full URL of the page

  Then tab or click this form field and you can test using Ctrl + t.

  Custom new tab

  It is easy to enter your favourite homepage address. If you check either of the boxes, the expansion will set the focus in the page as well, for example, the cursor will be in the Google search box. (See third screenshot attached). I had to leave Firefox and start it up again before new custom tab started working, but this may have been due to tests so many extensions back to back.

• By default, Firefox spellchecker bad language

  I've read many threads of the forum on this subject, but none of them solved my problem.
  The spellchecker of Firefox highlights almost every word I type - I discovered that its spellchecker language is set to French.
  So, in the options, I deleted all the dictionaries as English. The problem persisted.
  I think the problem might be that I lived in France when I originally installed Firefox - even if I chose the version English and my computer is in English. I am now back in the United Kingdom. I downloaded the English UK version and installed as an update. That did not work.
  I also completely uninstalled the app (I thought), restarted the computer and reinstalled the English version - but when I opened it, all my favorites etc were exactly as before and the problem persists.
  Anyone offer a solution? I really need the spell check function and I really want to come back to Chrome...
  I use Firefox 41.0 on a Windows 7 laptop.

  Hello again. My problem is solved! I found that I could right-click on email gmail window and select the language here - it was fixed in French rather than English. So now, everything seems to work very well. Thanks a lot for your help.

• Siri & command voice crazy when the execution with headphones

  Everyone knows a combination of Siri (and after I disabled Siri) then the voice command goes a bit out of whack? This happens when I'm out of the race, I have my iPhone 6plus in an armband and I use generally a few apps (Strava & MapMyRun) running and listening to music. I say try because recently Siri turned without my activation. I have disable Siri and then on another race and unusable voice control music playback. Effect, apart from the interruption of playback of music, had to skip songs, fast forward and usually impossible music.

  Initially I thought he could have my cuff by pressing the buttons somehow, but after a few tries I excluded only. I guess it must be something to do with the helmet, but does not know which affected them has an effect on this problem. They used to work properly.

Before the repair, I have the brightness all the way up to, have all notifications, disable airplane mode and go on an hour three run without having to load it wake-up until the evening. Now, the battery died before the lunch hour. Advice or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

• Restore the old logo of firefox in the start page for firefox & lose crazy tail Fox logo

  Within the last few days my regular firefox logo appearing on the firefox start page has changed on my desktop (windows xp) and two laptops (windows 8 and windows 8.1). All changed logos at the same time. The normal logo (globe portfolio blue orange fox) is now an orange Fox (globe portfolio) with a tail of control crazy that encircles wildly around the world a couple of times. Is not cute & compact but instead takes a lot of space and really bothers me. Firefox has been one of the rare browsers that I have the right to make the automatic updates, but I'm going to change these settings, since I had so much trouble trying to change the rear logo. My history of update watch 32.0.3 update has been installed on 24-09-14 & put update 32.0.2 installed 30-10-14, which seems odd to me since 32.0.3 would seem to come after 32.0.2. (There is no cartoon character saying "click me" nor is there excerpts, and I don't want to block the ordinary brand logo, I just want to get rid of this crazy tail logo).
