Create a HR PDF of Pages

Is it possible to export a Pages document in a high resolution PDF? I found some old posts on the topic but I was wondering if there was something new. Thank you.

Not that I know of. On the only available control is to avoid using images/objects that include settings of transparency, and in order to avoid "the smallest file" If a compression option is available. Others may be able to provide more complete information.

Kind regards

Barry

  • A pdf with two images page. How can I create a separate pdf for each image?

I was sent a scan of two images using Adobe Acrobat DC A4.  The images are invoices.  I want to create two separate pdfs, one for each Bill, so that I can drop off each invoice with the operation seen in my accounting software.  If possible, please let me know how to go on this issue. Thank you.

If the two images are on the same page: duplicate page (drag / move in the Pages panel while holding the Ctrl key).

Then crops the first page to only show that the first Bill and the second page to show only the other. Then extract each page as a new file.

If the image is on a separate page: extract each page as a new file (via Tools - Pages - extract Pages).

  • I want to create a combined pdf file so I can print 4 items per page to save on printing. Do I need a plugin for that?

I want to create a combined pdf file so I can print 4 items per page to save on printing. It's something my printer guy did to save me from printing. However, I just bought a printer xp Epsom 200 advertised on the box that it was a feature. It turns out that it is a feature of adobe. I'm confused, why he has been announced. In any case, I have Adobe suite with PSCS5 hace. How can I do this?

In the dialog box print of Acrobat and the free reader, you can select Multiple option to print multiple pages on a single physical page.

If you have a file with these pages you will need to use Acrobat for that. You can use the Adobe PDF printer (on a Windows machine, at least) to generate a new PDF with several pages of the former on each page.

Unfortunately, the last few versions of PES are much less talented to work with multi-page files, and you can do this in PSE 12.

  • Create an interactive PDF on 35 pages

Hi displays the first time here, so apologies in advance if I break all the rules.

So I'm having a strange problem that I hope someone can help with.

I created an interactive PDF on InDesign CS6. The document has a back, a front and a button of content on each page as a TOC marked with a bookmark. When I go to export, said the document and open it in Acrobat. the form field guide bar (attached) seems that there is no form field in the document. The strange thing is that it appears that if the document is 35 pages or more. Can someone help so that this bar does not appear on the pdf doc?

In this case does not rely on the number of pages, rather than the number of interactive elements in the PDF file.

You can prevent Acrobat/Reader (regardless of the number of interactive elements) to display the toolbar of form by activating certain restrictions document as not allowing content do not copy or page extraction.

  • Create a single pdf document from multiple scans of a doc to double-sided printing. What is the simpler, faster way to rearrange the pages in their correct order?

I am currently trying to create a single pdf file of several analyses of groups of pages in a document of front and back of the page. The manual is about 80 pages and I didn't scan each page regardless. Is there a way to move pages once they are all together in a single pdf? All odd pages are in order. However, two other analyses allowing same abd pages, they are at the end after the odd pages.

Open the Pages panel on the left and you will be able to drag and drop the

    thumbnails of page around.

  • Create chapters in PDF format using the preview

I wrote a series of eight episodes, which are contained in separate PDF files eight - one for each episode. I combined these PDFs into a single PDF using Preview. The problem is that when I combine PDF files, I can drag each new PDF below the threshold in the sidebar in the preview to keep each stand-alone episode and each episode listed as a different 'chapter' in the single PDF file. However, when I export the file, it only exports the selected PDF, not all 'chapters' in a single PDF file. Select all pages and export do not work.

If I drag the PDF files above the line in the sidebar, it allows me to export all eight PDFs as a single PDF file, but I lose the "chapters", and it is just there as a PDF constantly scrolling isn't easy to navigate between each episode.

I want to create a single PDF containing all eight episodes, which, when opened displays each episode in the sidebar so that the player can pass quickly and expand/collapse each episode without having to scroll through the entire document.

Does anyone know how to do this (or if it is still possible) using an extract? I also have Adobe Acrobat X installed if someone knows how to do it in this program.

    Thank you!

  • Is it possible to create the icon PDF format display with the cover of the document image, when sending via "Mail" on a mac?

Is it possible to create the icon PDF format display with the cover of the document image, when sending via "Mail" on a mac?

InDesign has no control on how Apple Mail displays a PDF it creates.

My experience is that Mail displays a preview of a single PDF page, but not a multiple page PDF. In addition, for a single page PDF, the user may tip if the PDF shows a preview by right-clicking the icon/preview.

  • Rh10 Fm conversion with references to PDF with page number

I have a FM document with images that are references to PDF with page number. After I do the conversion, by simply using the default settings/mappings, I get a HR document with the first image to reproduce throughout the document where the other images should be.

What should I do to get the correct images converted?

The class author template we created duplicate ID. The ID did not cause other problems other than with the conversion. The fix has been applied to the model so all is working now.

  • How to create an accessible PDF for Thesaurus with many chapters, Acrobat and InDesign CS 5.5

    Hi people,

I was thinking about a thesaurus (controlled vocabulary for the archives of the Agency) in InDesign CS 5.5. I am preparing an accessible PDF from many files (using a book created in InDesign). Coverage, the preliminary pages and back cover are not part of the book, to keep the simple page numbering.

The book has two main sections, one alphabetical display and a hierarchical display of terms and their relationships. I created chapters by lists of the alphabet, i.e. alphabetical screen A, B, C, etc. So, there are more than 50 chapters, including coverage, preliminary pages, etc.

I managed to do the cover and the preliminary pages PDFs after viewing the videos here: http://tv.adobe.com/watch/accessibility-adobe/preparing-indesign-files-for-accessibility/ and download and use this Action for recommended Acrobat: InDesign CS5_5 accessibility Touchup.sequ

Several issues specific to this project do not seem to be addressed in the videos, however.

    • First of all, I would like to know if I can create an accessible PDF using the book feature > export book to PDF. Or should I make a PDF by chapter? The book has over 50 chapters (by alphabet, twice), so creating one by one, will take much longer, but I'll do it if it is the best practice.
    • After creating the PDF files, if I use (in Acrobat): create > combine PDF files to make a complete in PDF (over 600 pages BTW), will be the final PDF settings of accessibility? Do I need to rerun the accessibility to the combined PDF report?
    • I used the InTools.com power Headers plugin to add a page header that appears automatically the first new term used by page. Thus, a chapter (with the title of the chapter title H1) will have a different page header (which will be H2) per page, but the text circulates throughout the chapter. I don't see where to add page headers in the Article window in InDesign. Can I add in the following order: H1, H2, text (for the whole chapter), H2, H2, H2, etc. I need to work on the PDF file in Acrobat, where pages will be displayed, to obtain the correct H2 with the text on the page? Am I missing something?
    • I have problems with the bookmarks that requires a specific workflow?

I think it is in this regard, although I could run more questions as I progress through the project.

    Thank you, Marilyn

I understand why you need updated running headers in your book. For a reader seeing these serve as a guide for where you are and help you find things quickly.  In addition, if you export your data to XML or HTML from the tagged PDF document it would be also important to have these in the right place.

But for accessibility purposes, should not be there because the screen reader reads everything in linear order, line by line.  No one is looking at the page.  A user to listen to the screen reader read the page will hear this position, just before the word itself. Then they hear the first word of the page two times.  It is not the end of the world if it is there, but these positions are not required for accessibility, unless they are not repetitive and contain information that is not otherwise available.

So I would say, very well if you need it or want it, it's just a Word.

I think you should try to export your book in PDF format (or even just one chapter of the book) and look at the Panel tags in Acrobat to see if you get the desired result.  I can't tell you exactly what you need to do to get these results, you use a plug-in, I did not.

I can tell you that I didn't have to add headers to any article at all, they just automatically export if the other items in the file are added and that you do not select the style of header option 'not for export in XML format.

You may not experience the same results with your plugin, but I think this would work probably the same way.

Give it a try and good luck.

  • How to create an interactive PDF with variable data

We basically have a "mail merge" to our list of customers with an interactive PDF file (including videos, menus, etc. - not only form fill and web links) to create a single PDF that contains several pieces of mail... one for each customer... with each total mail being customized for this customer.  Customizations would include different greetings (Bob dear, dear Dana, etc), as well as the different graphs based on unique data to the client, photographs, etc.

I saw that InDesign and Acrobat Professional can be used to create an interactive PDF (such as http://tv.adobe.com/watch/ask-the-adobe-ones/14-calling-rufus-about-interactive-pdf-making).  But I don't understand how I can insert data into a database, csv, excel etc. in the PDF file file so that each page, or each set of pages in the PDF file can be customized.

Can someone tell me a tool to use for this?

    Thank you

    Bob Kendall

I'm new on this and didn't know InDesign could do a data merge, thank you for pointing that out.

However, we currently produce hundreds of thousands of personalized daily electronic documents, a PDF file or Web user interaction (no, this isn't spam or junk mail).  Our customers have asked us to focus on the generation of personalized interactive PDFs and I fear that the volume could overwhelm InDesign.  My other concern is that all of our work performed automatically (we run hundreds every day) and it is not possible to have a person to sit down, then run InDesign manually for each job.  Our standard operating system need a certain version of unix (AIX or linux), although we can perform tasks under windows if necessary.  It seems, as InDesign will fit in this environment?  If not, is there something else out there?

    Thank you for your time.

  • PDF WEB PAGE

I'm sorry if I posted in the wrong section.

I created an Adobe PDF newsletter for our society.

I want the newsletter to open within the Web page of our company.

I don't want to link to the pdf document. Link I can do.

I Google looking for help and couldn't find exactly the need.

What I'm trying to do, it is in this example:

    http://www.ompoint.com/OmPoint_Circular_1.PDF

I was unable to view this source pages. The "source" button does not open mode code that would allow me to examine how the author created the web EAP.

As you can see when you open the url of the Adobe document fills the screen.

This document is ready for display and printing and so on.

I don't know how to do this. I want to know the method.

    Thank you

    John Marshall

You can not reliably embed a PDF file in a web page.

    Bind is the best method.

As you can see when you open the url of the Adobe document fills the screen.

Not for me in IE8. Download the PDF file.

All PDF files on http://www.ompoint.com/ are regular links to PDF.

  • Create a downloadable PDF file

    Hello

I am trying to create a downloadable on this page price list http://www.justadwater.co.UK/Bos/pricing.html

I can create so it opens automatically in my browser but I really want the PDF to download for pc someones.

Can someone tell me where I'm wrong please.

Download and PDF links do not currently work on the server.

    Thank you

    Graham

If you need to include instructions, why not tell the user how to download the file from the link? From my experience, when a browser downloads a file without displaying a dialog box to let the user select a download location, some users won't not even find the file on his computer, for example. In addition, if you want to show your users a pdf, you'll probably want to print your file. You don't have to save a file to print it. Alternatively, if you don't want your users to print the file, you should not require to browse PDF files.
