create a MNU file in instrument pilot project

I created an instrument to aid driver

Tools--> Instrumentation--> create an Instrument pilot project.

The problem is that none of the new VI in the instrument driver.

I tried to add the screws following the instructions on the other posts in

Tools--> Advanced--> edit a whole pallette

but it did not work.

If necessary, I will use VIPM but do not understand why the wizard does not work.  Is the function to create a pilot Instrument always made in charge / obsolete?

Thank you

Sean

Thanks for your suggestions.

I found the answer.  Navigate to the instrument driver you want to update on the block diagram.

Now, the Tools--> Advanced--> edit pallette

See screenshot below:

You can right click on the folder of the instrument to choose Synchronize with directory and it's in.

  • where to add the db CAN format when creating an exe file.

I created an executable file to run on a PC not of LabView. When I run the file, I can't seem to select the database when I right click on the target computer. On my development machine, the exe seems to know where is the PB.

I guess that the Pb, I installed on computer target in the right folder. Is there a 'best practice' to avoid this error?

    Thank you

    Thanks Hooovahh,

I did include the DBC in the LabVIEW project and then include it in the EXE. I have also included in the installer, but what I is not install NOR-XNET on the target computer. I understand NEITHER-XNET DURATION in the installer. My question was on start up I have a dialog box select the database using a right-click of the mouse on the control (according to the test, the CBD may be different).

the right click appear the selection "Browse for Database File... ", but it would not execute the file dialog popup after, so I had no database selected and initialization crashed.

After the installation of NOR-XNET, the popup has worked and I was able to select the database what ever I wanted. Bottom line, I will include OR-XNET, not only the version of the Runtime for all of my installers using CAN.

Thanks for the help programming, I will try and include your departure to check what aliases exist in XNet using the Get database list. This seems really smart to make sure that the wha DBC file are available.

  • Quickie: Write to the file measure VI, how to create the new file?

I use the writing on measurement file express VI in my code and I plugged into it a control that sets the location where to save the file of measure

The only problem is that the file of measure must exist first! I cant for example, from the Control Panel, click the directory to browse box, navigate to a folder and type a name for the file. It just says: file not found! It's like the control file directory opens a file to save in, rather than creating a new file to this location

    How can I solve this?

  • Creating an executable file

Hello. I use Windows 7 Professional. I am trying to create an executable file. I searched here and I am also watching youtube videos more my online OR training and following the directions. The problem is that all of the examples I could find are older versions of windows. I have attached my project, but also a screenshot of what happens. I did however, when I double-click on the executable file it doesn't open the Vi, it opens the file used to create the executable file. I don't know if the difference is due to the OS, but I followed behind the videos as much as possible, with a few points mark because I have is exactly what show training videos. I also LV 2014 and it does not with training videos, but it seems that it is not a big difference between the two. If I have not provided sufficient information made me know. The password to the Vi is "2015". Thank you

Within the executable build specification ("Piezo rig"), go to the tab "Source Files" and you add main VI ("displacement piezoelectric test exe.vi") at the start section screws.

You shouldn't have problems based on the operating system or version of LabVIEW. Make sure that you install runtime matching as well as the executable file if you are deploying to another computer.

  • error 42 when creating a zip file

    Hello

I get a 42 error when I try to create a zip file in Labview.  I am deploying to a PSC module.  I try to create the file, and then my loop will close a data file when it gets to 1 meg and add it to the .zip file open and open another file of data.

I can't test the part until I can open a zipfile first.  Seems that I do not know how to specify a path? My way, that I use for the data file is "c:\k2XXXX.dat" with XXXX being the graduations to current.  And the zip that I use is "c:\K2data.zi" why does this job with creating zip file VI?  I use the vi path string.

    Thank you

    Hello Zener,

Please contact National Instruments!  I've seen this error before when using the ZIP screws on a controller of the PSC.  Unfortunately, this error occurs because the ZIP screws are dependent on Windows and are not supported by the operating system in real time. We are working to make these changes to the range of functions in real time.  I'm sorry for the inconvenience.  If you do not need to use the ZIP screws, then you should be able to transfer the data to a host computer and then call the screw ZIP from here.  If you have other questions about this please just after them here and we will help you.  Have a great day!

  • Import .mp4 files in each new project

Hi guys, sorry I tried and it seems that I am close to what I need with "libraries"... but "libraries" are only for the files of fonts and styles and stuff like that? I have .mp4 files and other image files that I need for EACH new project from adobe and I'm tired of their import. Is there a way to auto import files in each new project file in first?

    Thank you!

Create a project template. Make a project with all your media included and save it.  When you create a new project, open the model and save it under the name of the new project.

  • Can I create a hierarchy of topic on the project manager pod or I must rely on the table of contents?

    Hello

Can I create a hierarchy of topic on the project manager pod or I must rely on the table of contents? I use RoboHelp 9 (although I doubt that the version of the questions).

    Thank you

    Mary

    Hi Mary

As you do this is by creating folders in the project manager, then create new topics in the files or move the existing entries in the records.

If you work exclusively in the project manager, you are only able to move a single topic at a time. If you want to move a swarm of topics, open the pod of the list of topics and you can select as many as you want. Then drag the subjects selected to the folder on the project manager pod. Be a little careful when you drag. Often the mouse will pass over a tab at the bottom of the basket, and this can change their minds about you.

    See you soon... Rick

  • SOUL Blu - Ray h.264 transcoding of 19 GB files.  Still showing project 47GB size?

I'm working on a blu - ray for the first time (he has worked only on DVD before) and when I finished the video files in the first, I exported with SOUL using it's built in h.264 Blu - Ray profile (1080i 29.97 FPS).  Resulting, audio, and video files were 19 GB in size.  However, when I imported as active in still, he says the project's 47 GB!  I have read around and found others mentioning a bit similar problems, but they were nowhere near the scale and do not appear to be the same problem I encounter.

The files are all automatically the value "do not transcode" so I'm sure he's not transcoding them trying, and I only have a timeline (I had read every line of the time creates additional multimedia files, IE: if I copy and paste a timeline with 10 GB of media, the second timeline will take 10 GB additional space on the final image).  So I have no idea how in the world he could possibly be coming with such a weird size for the project.  It's just at a few concerts, it is more than twice the size of the real media. I have no idea what is going on, but there is no reason I should have need of a double disc layer when blu - ray ready files are well below the size of disc single layer of GBs 23-24.

Someone at - it ideas?  Thank you!

Chapters are not a problem. Each video on his own script. Each end action of timeline of the "last menu."

A menu with a single button for 'play all' (links to a Playlist with each of the deadlines inside) and an a chapter menu button.

Chapter menu includes a button for each scenario.

  • Create New FLA files - why does always: Hummingbird after the name of the file?

I just bought Adobe CS Web Premium 5.5. I am a newbie. One of my first experiences was me trying to animate a picture I took of a hummingbird. I called the Hummingbird.fla FLA. Now, when I create new FLA files, and keep it as Flowers.fla says, it always adds: Hummingbird in the title of the project. Can someone explain it to me?

    Thank you

    David

Looks like you have opened a project in Flash. And now, each new file is added to the project. There is no net effect on the Flash file that you are working. The only advantage is that if you need to share external files with different movies. I'm guessing you won't need to do it.

If you go back the information of the project in Flash, you should be able to find the folder the project root. You can just trash this folder and you will not have the project reference more.

  • Need to publish only the files selected in the project of RH6

    Hello

Let's say I have 50 .htm files already in a project of RH6. I want to only publish 20 of these files. Manually, I created a table of contents and related in these 20 files. However, I noticed that when I did a search in the final help file - results of research links to other 30 files. I want only that everything which is related to the table of contents to publish.

    Thank you
    FMnRH

All topics are included in any output, regardless of whether or not they are in the table of contents. To exclude topics, you need to put a conditional tag on them, and when you build, create an expression of generation not some label that you applied.
