  • How can I create a PDF with editable fields?

I have a problem with my Microsoft word at the normal address form. Customers who fill out the forms, complete their area prescribed in form, but some of them also change the original text of the form. I though it would be better if direct to a digital solution by which I can have all my PDF form, but the need to 'fill in the fields' remains a problem. Is there a way where I can create a pdf with editable fields form my clients to fill out the requested information? This solution will also allow my clients the advantage of not having to print forms but rather to complete on the computer. Help, please.

It seems the comment by Bernd, this version 7 (Standard) did not have this

the fact of functionality, but version 9 (Standard).

    See: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/matrix.html

However, as I wrote, if you want users to be able to save the file after

they filled, you will need version 9 (Pro).

And Acrobat has an assistant who can pick up the fields that were created in Word

and convert them into Acrobat form fields.

  • Save PDF with unprintable fields

    Hi guys

I created a PDF with some calculations with adobe acrobat pro (10.1.16). Some fields are visible but unprintable. My problem is, that the functions save as file pdf with the print function doesn't work any more (Mac User).  With this feature, I could save my file in pdf without this fields. Is there another solution to generate a PDF without this unprintable fields?

    Thanks for the help, Elio

It can be done with a script, but I think you can also do it with the built-in commands. There is a command to show/hide fields and there is a command to execute a menu item where you can select file - save as.

  • Can I create a PDF with ZERO page?

Hello, can I create a PDF with ZERO page? I want to make a pdf file of zero-page as a placeholder in a folder of PDF files, which is regularly involved in books. The idea is, when pages are removed from a few books, but not others, to replace in this space for the ZERO page and in the copy of the Tower on the placeholder at a later date, or never. Then, the number of files remains unchanged in the folder, and combined pdfs don't know just the zero pages in pdf format. Something like that possible? Thank you.

No, the rules of the PDF is a format of one or more pages. Good idea, but cannot fly.

You can add a save button slot for your file, but not a button Save.

Not the answer you want, but you could set up your quick customer with an ftp upload which would replace the existing pdf. I use Transmit and it would allow your customer to simply drag and drop on a folder.

  • How to create a pdf with Acrobat Pro 7 which can be edited/saved by user

Found the link to this and he lost!  Now, I'm wasting time trying to figure it out yet - 3 hours!  The PDF with fields was created with Acrobat.  When I tested with Adobe Reader, it will not allow the user to save the file - fill and print ONLY.  Friday, I was able to find a workaround, but now I forgot.  Any help is appreciated.  Thank you!

    Hi Tiggerc,

If you have Acrobat Pro 7 or higher, you can add reader allowing rights to the PDF document that will allow the user with the Reader Adobe free to fill out and save the form.

You can find it in the menu advanced in Acrobat 7 with similar wording to "Expand in Adobe Reader" or "Enable usage rights in Adobe Reader".  After selecting this menu option just follow the guests of the dialog box.

Let me know if you have any questions

  • XML editor with editable field

    Hello

I'm reporting using xml publisher in PDF format...
is anyway to have PDF reports generated to have an editable field so that we can enter text here before printing?

It's like having a placeholder in the RTF which has no reference to the DB... not mapped to a specific xml data

    is this possible and how?
    thnx

    Hello

If the element you want on the report does not come from data you want to put in * before * the document has been produced, then you have two options:
1 use a parameter on the report and who appear on the output (depending on the earlier suggestion on this thread)
    2. Enter the value data (for example, through the lookup table, profile option, FDF, or something like that) so it's just an ordinary field.

If you want to put the value in the report * after * the report has been produced, then you must be able to change the output. The options in question are:
    3. instead of PDF output, output RTF, you can open the document in Microsoft Word and add anything you want - of course you have to do it every time for all reports
    4. as in 1, but use PDF and PDF writer
    5. as in the use of suggestion of Tim an API or other software to write to the output PDF file - this can be automated, but again you would need to know what value to put where initially, so you should be better go back to options 1 or 2.

    Kind regards

  • How to create a table with editable column values.

    Hello world
I think it's very simple, but I am unable to find how to do this. This is my requirement. I need to create a table with n columns and 1 line initially. the user must be able to enter data into this table and click of a button must insert the data into the database table. Also, there should be a button at the bottom of the table to add 1 line to the table.

I know how to do the insertion of data, but can someone please let me know how to create a table which allows the user to enter data and how to create a line button Add 1?

    Thanks in advance!

    Raghu,

Go through the tutorial of Toolbox Page & Advanced section of the Guide of the OFA table.

Step 1 - you need to create EO & VO from this EO. This EO will be table of database where you want to insert the data.

Step 2 - create an advanced table region. (See this section in table advanced for more details)

Step 3 - attach this VO in the BC4J region advanced Table component.

    Kind regards

  • In acrobat pro, how can I create a stamp with the fields that I can change in the stamp?

So I have this stamp and I want to make the fields in each box, so I can edit them? That would be on top of an existing PDF document. Is this possible? I tried to create the stamp as an another 'form', but the fields are not editable once you create the stamp on the final pdf. Any help is very appreciated!

    stamp.png

It is not possible to edit stamps as soon as they are applied. You can add fields for the stamp and then prompts the user to enter their values just before the buffer is applied, but not thereafter. It is a very complex, however. Search these forums for "dynamic stamps" for more information.

  • PDF with editable for Illustrator TEXT export

    Hi guys,.

Can I export an InDesign to PDF and then be able to someone else with the Illustrator to open it and change its text?

I make an announcement in the newspapers. I love working with InDesign, which is more flexible for text than Illustrator. My boss wants all the files that are editable by everyone in the office. The rest of the team to use Illustrator. I exported my InDesign file to PDF hi-res print mode which I suppose it save perfectly editable but when I open it with Illustrator text is editable but paragraphs are broken.

Any solution to this problem? I would love to Illustrator and InDesign to work most commonly between two of them about the text.

    Thank you! ;-)

    Hi SebastiaoV,

InDesign and Illustrator are very different in terms of ease of use and purpose. As recommended by Bob, you can change the 'text' in InCopy. You can also change the PDF file in Acrobat. I share the InCopy-InDesign Workflow links needed.

  • How to create A PDF with text OCR invisible and no Unicode font incorporated

We have a code that converts TIFF (usually traveled and OCR'ed) in PDF format. Currently, I extend this code:

    1. be PDF/A compliant (or PDF/A-1b "Unicode" or PDF/A-2u).
    2. Add Unicode text 'behind' the image to make the PDF can be accessed, and
    3. while making (2), do not embed all fonts (which is allowed in PDF/A, as long as the text is invisible).

I managed to generate a PDF file that pass the test of PDF/A preflight in Adobe Acrobat 9 (we have yet a license for a newer version), and which is also consistent with other requirements above, with one of the problems during their opening in Acrobat (9) or Acrobat Reader (DC), I get the error "cannot find or create the police."

Replace the name of fancy font with that of one of the 14 standard fonts, said Courier, does not help.

Unfortunately, I was not able to find or create PDF sample files that show how to add invisible text without embedding a font. I could operate without a Unicode mapping, referring to the Courier not incorporated and using WinAnsiEncoding. However, in order to use the Unicode format, I have to add some police structures, so there's a ToUnicode mapping according to the PDF/A standard, and then I can't get rid of this warning, which of course would make it unusable PDF for our customers.

I couldn't really find in the PDF specification or the PDF/A standard what exactly "do not embed a font" meant on a technical level. I assumed that this meant "leaving aside the tag /FontFile2 and police data, to which it refers", but apparently, this isn't quite the case.

If this is not possible, I might incorporate a fake police, like empty Adobe but with (empty) glyphs that have a width, but it really shouldn't be necessary if I understand standards.

Any help or tips at least are appreciated.

But it's a required parameter with sense. Encoding is highly relevant for embedded and not embedded fonts. So it must be good, not just there... and it is not normal for a substitution font...

  • Is it possible to create a PDF with a variable number of lines?

I am a very new adobe user, but before my company invests in software need to know if this is possible.  The general idea is that we need to be able to create a form in adobe/livecycle, that people who use the drive can be filled.  The problem is that whenever this form is completed, it will have a different number of lines.  Is it possible to create a form that whenever a row is filled (with a description and a price) which will be generated a new line with the same fields to serve?  Create lines on the form is not an option, because the range can be up to several hundred or beyond in some cases and it is not realistic for us to have several pages of lines to be used when the majority of the time, that only the first page will be used, then when the form is printed additional empty pages is printed.  Currently, we use an excel form to accommodate our needs with the only downfall being that all users of the form have to buy microsoft office.  Any help?

    Hello

Yes it is possible, but you should ensure that you follow a few best practices to ensure that the form with several rows of hundred become slow or unstable.

There are a few examples of dynamic tables here, which at least should give you an idea of what is possible. Open in Acrobat/Reader to see user experience, you can also open in the designer to see how the form is built.

    Index: http://assure.ly/lwQHm7.

    Sections and tables: http://assure.ly/fItII5.

It's more detailed / teaching and shows how to place the form of dynamic behavior: http://assure.ly/gk8Q7a.

    Hope that helps,
