Create an association in the set association Control Panel
I can't open an attachment. The computer tells me to "create an association in the control panel of binding together. I don't no how to do this. What makes this different attachment of my other?
Attachments may have been written in a program that you don't have on your computer to play with.
You will need to know what program it says when in doubt, ask the sender of the email.
need .doc or .docx Word or a Word Viewer for playback file extensions, etc, etc.
.xls Excel need.

To define ways of binding to set a default program to open a specific file.
I will use as an example powerpoint files... PPS, ppsx, ppt or pptx
Start > Default programs > Aoosociate a file type or Protocol with a program > under the name at the top left, scroll down until you see pps > until it clicks > look through > under current default, he should had sat in Microsoft Office PowerPoint or Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer...
If it does not, click Change Program... > find Microsoft office PowerPoint or Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer, click it > click OK.Now, the associated file is defined for powerpoint files.
This mthod apply to all other files. You just know what program is supposed to open what kind of files.

Hello-
I'm looking for here (or get) help directed to the right forum regarding an error message I got when trying to open a PDF file. The error message indicates "this file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install a program or, if such is already installed, create an association in the default programs control panel. "To be quite honest, I don't have the slightest idea as to what to do with respect to this message and I need some advice ASAP. I have the latest Adobe Acrobat Reader installed and if I have to contact them instead about my problem, please let me know.

b. how you try to access gmail on your computer?If you have any mail client installed such as outlook, then you can set outlook as the default e-mail client.
If you use gmail from Internet Explorer, then you may not be able to set as the default program.Hope this information is useful.

When I try to evoke some (not all) attachments on my screen (on Outlook Express), I got the following:

Cannot open any desktop shortcut, get this message: this file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. I find this weird problem affecting that explorer.exe and not any other .exe files. When I open explorer.exe in the taskbar or the C:\Windows\explorer.exe, the dialog box opens and indicates "this file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install a program or, if such is already installed, create an association in the default programs control panel. ». The control panel default programs Dosen t State .exe in the list of protocols and I find it complicated to press the windows logo and click computer each time. Please tell me that there is a way to solve this problem by means of edit this record.
I have not tried running sfc/scannow then chkdsk/f, two found no error.
