Create an executable for a previous version of LabVIEW % 3F

Title says it all.

I have LabVIEW 2011 and my code is written using LabVIEW 2011. I know how to build an executable from my code in version 2011.

I know how to save my code in version 2010. But I don't know how to create an executable for the 2010 version. I saw no option in

the build process that I would create a 2010 executable. Once built, the executable must run on a computer with the runtime only 2010.

Is this possible or do I have LabVIEW 2010 installed to create a 2010 executable?

Just install the runtime of LV 2011 on the other PC.  A PC can have multiple versions of the Runtime installed.

  • Except for the previous version of 2015 caused problems

    Hi all

I made a race of CLD practice using the example of irrigation system. I I built in 2015 of LabVIEW and saved for a previous version of LabVIEW 2014 before posting in the forum of Certification for the comments. When it was opened by another member through 2014, delimited reading Spreadsheet.vi is not found. I can't reproduce the error because I do not have an installation of 2014. The original thread is HERE. I enclose my original draft of 2015 as "Registered for previous" version 2014. Also attached is a screenshot of the attempt to open the 2014 version. This could be a problem with the backsave?

    Thank you all.

  • What to do when my PC crashed with BOD and calls for a previous version of Windows?

First of all thank you for all the help.

I already posted this question in response to my previous thread but I don't know if everyone saw that since is a response.

    And now the sad news.
I am currently typing this laptop for my wife because my PC is completely crushed.
After being able to finally load these SPs and all my drivers and other software, it seemed that it worked.
I always tried to avoid the automatic update because everything seemed ok.
Whenever I have had more software installed on my pc I set up the new restore point.
In fact twice because the third time I typed system3 and press ENTER to create the new restore point I had immediately the Blue Screen of Death that I'we heard about before.
So I tried to re - install Windows again, but for the first time that I am not even able to do.
He said: Windows didn't start because the following file is missing or corrupted \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM
Then he said to press r in the first screen to try to resolve what I did.
With my original XP cd in, it took me for Windows set up where I faced another problem (new).
He said: Setup cannot find a previous version of windows installed on your computer.
He asked me to insert my original cd with NT, 95 or 98 on it.
OK - I've upgraded from 98 years and I still have this start up par 3 1/2 98 but after moving so fast and technology upgrades for my Office Perrine drive seemed like the size of space.
What are my options to resolve this problem?
    My HD could be fried?
Couldit be some project of pirates or viruses?
I 2HDs a C: 40giga.old Western digital that I had my Windows and second giga D: 120 which was more for backup and storage.
After having all these problems I always C: formatted and reinstalled Windows but never really messed with my D: drive.
Could there be something on D:, even after fresh Windows would keep jump on C:?
Also why it asks me to insert the 98 now and not more recent before when I formatted and resettled C: windows.
Once again thanks for your help.

I have everything working fine now.

  • How to create an "executable" for users to run Calc?

I need to create an executable file that can launch users.  I want 1) open a session as long as user 'test' that I have implemented in the native repertoire, 2) app/database, select and then 3) launching a series of Calc.  I got something put in place previously in an earlier version of Essbase, but I can't seem to run on Essbase 11.

    Here's what I had previously:

    • Connection "servername" "TestUser" "Password";
    • Select "App" database;

    • RunCalc 2 ' Calc 1 ";
    • RunCalc 2 ' Calc 2. "
    • RunCalc 2 ' Calc 3. "

Perhaps the user machines have not all the files needed to run this?  It's just flashes and doesn't give me any messages.  I'm puzzled.

The Essbase client has been installed on the computers of users, if not you should install it.

The location should be something like C:\Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\products\Essbase\EssbaseClient\bin

You will need to also use startEsscmd.cmd or evolve with the times and use startMaxl.cmd

  • small runtime for more recent versions of labview?

A few times in the past, I created simple LabVIEW autonomous executibles.  I did this in 8.6 and used minimum duration Engine Setup instead of the full version.  This resulted in a size of 30-35 Meg installation package.

Agin need to create a simple executable, but have not seen a minimum setup for any version of LabVIEW 8.6

Are there minimum runtimes for other versions?

The runtime default 2014 is Meg 264!  It is difficult to explain to a client why a simple "Hello World" program requires a 200 Meg download.

Jack Dunaway has documented a way to segment the execution engine, basically only, including parts which you need.

  • Save the distribution source for the previous version

    Hello

I am trying to use the tool run a Labview VI in VBAI. I use LV2013 SP1 and VBAI 2013. The step run a VI Labview gives me an error saying "this step supports LV2012 or earlier. When I record to LV12, this time an error comes up saying "the VI has not been compiled for the specified remote target or it is not registered with LV12." After I read the forums and help documents, I see that this problem can be solved with the recording of the VI for distribution (LLB).

But when I open the project, it becomes LV2013 and LLB built as LV2013. So I go back to the first step, saying: "this step supports LV2012.."

    How can I build a source like LV12 distribution using LV13? I couldn't find a solution.

You can either download a 2012 version (ask your local sales engineer because it's an older version), or

"Save your VI as" for 2012 and post the zip files exported to the Commission on conversion. Can someone respond and wrap your files in 2012 VI + llb ^^

  • I'm upgrading to Acrobat DC and did not have the serial number for the previous version. What should I do?

How can I get the serial number for Acrobat XI

Check your Adobe account online.  If you have saved Acrobat XI when you installed everything first you may be able to find the number of series that are stored.  If no, but you have the proof of purchase, you can try to contact the Support from Adobe to get the serial number information.

  • Identify the official gcc (or supported) version for a given version of Labview

As far as I know, there is no web page OR identify the official (or at least, taken in charge) gcc / g ++ version for a LabVIEW given output.

By "official version", I mean one that is binary compatible with LabVIEW executable file (i.e. the binary).

NOR must provide this information (as well as The Mathworks for Matlab). Here, here's a tip for vs information:

    1. the cd in your install directory local labview (i.e. the binary labview where)

    2. type the following command: strings. / labview | grep GLIBCXX

    3. identify the GLIBCXX version (i.e. stdlibc ++) highest in the resulting list (say GLIBCXX_3.4.9 for LabVIEW 13)

    4. open your favorite web browser and visit the gcc ABI policy and guidelines page

    5. search for GLIBCXX identified in step 3 (which is GLIBCXX_3.4.9 in our case)

    6. you should find something like: GCC 4.2.0: GLIBCXX_3.4.9

7 pray have the corresponding version of gcc (i.e. 4.2.0 here) installed on your host computer or, at least, to have the corresponding manual available for your platform

    8. If step 7 fails, be prepared either: recompile the gcc version required, upgrade your operating system, or update your copy of LabVIEW

    Hello

It depends on the operating system you are using:

    http://zone.NI.com/reference/en-XX/help/371361G-01/lvhowto/compiling_cin_source/

For Linux of LabVIEW, you have a list of libstdc ++ supported:

    http://digital.NI.com/public.nsf/allkb/4596349739E988088625761C005B197E

LabVIEW windows, is Microsoft Visual C++:

If you are using GCC reaaly, there are different workaround solution, withour support:

  • Save as previous version of labview?

We have a bunch of code LV2010 a guy in charge. changed, then saved using LV2011.  Yes I know we should be updated for 2011, but management is scared to update even though we have both.

How do I save the code back in 2010.  No new 2011 have been included, only Visual cleanups were conducted.

According to this, you've been programming LabVIEW for 20 years so I can hardly believe that you never looked in the file menu. You can make the previous record either your VI high level or your project.

  • Run the vi in the previous version of Labview and no added kit

    Background:
I created the instrument of vi using LABVIEW v8.5. Inthat program, I added the function of audio and vibration measurment suite "toolkit". I need to run this program on "another computer".

    Problem:

But "another computer" is using labview v.7.1 and no audio suite install measurment and vibration.

    Question:
Can I use my program on this computer? without must be installed 'sound and vibration measurment suite' and Labview v.8.5

    If it "s possible, how?

    Thanks before...

  • VI force to open a compiled version of LabVIEW (not the latest version)

I have a programming computer that has multiple versions of LabVIEW installed.  Once I finish a program, I propose the computer program 'target' (or touch screen) who have installed one version.

The problem I have is when I run a VI, VI still load the version of LabVIEW that was used last.  When the VI is saved, it compiles to this version and will no longer work on the computer "target".

It seems that save for a previous version of LabVIEW still does not work (she can relate to moving from Win 7 to Win XP).

Is there a way to force the VI to open the version of LabVIEW that the VI has been compiled with?

    Metzler says:

The problem still exists if you do not know the LV version running the computer "target".

Your goals should not actually be running LabVIEW.  They should run an executable that you generate (preferably with an Installer).  It would then become less of a problem and you have the advantage of not to need LabVIEW licenses for all your target computers (runtime is free to distribute).
