1. you remember to make changes to the computer before this problem?
2. you have any third-party DVD burning software installed on the computer?
If you have any third-party CD/DVD burning software, uninstall them temporarily & check if Windows DVD Maker works correctly.

create dvd windows movie maker and Windows stopped working
I've never had a problem with the creation of dvd windows or windows movie maker, but all of a sudden, the two do not work. In windows, creating DVDs when I add items to the dvd maker screen becomes transparent and stops working and I get an error message saying that windows dvd maker has stopped working, windows will notify if a solution is available, etc.. Same thing with windows movie maker. I have already registered the module 'iac25_32.ax' and I installed windows vista service pack 2, but it did not help. Here are the details of the problem:

My DVD/CD drive has suddenly stopped working under Windows 7
Ive been using Windows 7 for about 6 months now with on any trouble until recently my DVD drive has suddenly stopped working. Windows detects the drive but when I double click on it in my computer it says please insert disc. I find the drive in Device Manager and windows recognises that there is an error that says:
Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might be installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or maybe it's a malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)
I tried to uninstall the drivers in Manager device and rebooted the computer to let auto windows find the driver and reinstall it but to start, I get a message that says:
Device not installed driver software
I know that the drive is fine because it works fine in Ubuntu Linux system he worked great in windows 7, so stopped. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Go to the Web site of the factory, download the driver appropriate for your device. Uninstall the driver that is currently installed and uninstall the device in Device Manager. Reboot... After you restart, you have 1 of 2 options depending on how the software is packed from the manufacturing. (A) put an end to the automatic Windows installation feature and use the downloaded software to take care of it for you... If that's how it is set up to operate or (b) wait for windows to auto-trouvez and try to install the device, and when he asked the pilots to open and extract files downloaded to any location you choose and point the installer of windows in this direction.

DVD-CD ROM DRIVE SUDDENLY STOPPED WORKING
My DVD - CD rom suddenly stopped working. It does not appear on my computer. In Device Manager, it shows the exclamation point in a yellow triangle and has the following: Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39). I tried updating the driver, and he said that the best updated driver is already installed. But it won't work. When I put a disc in, the green light as it tries to work, but nothing. In the properties in Device Manager, he suggested looking for a microsoft solution and I did it and there is no solutions. Help, please! I have install all the recommended and important updates, I have this game automatically. I have Vista service pack 2. Apart from this, the computer works fine. I appreciate any help you can offer. Thank you.
Hello
Code 39 means that the driver is corrupted or missing.
Do this - control panel - Device Manager 1 - click double-click on the drive - CD/DVD
Driver update (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the drivers of certification). Now LAW
Click on - UNINSTALL - REBOOT - this will rebuild the driver stack.Normally the above will solve this problem otherwise working your way down through them, even if you did
them before.A MR FIXIT

Capacity wireless suddenly stopped working after an update of Windows Vista.
Feature WiFi suddenly stopped working after a windows vista updated. Wireless switch is engaged, but stays yellow that messeges troubleshooting all say computer does not detect wireless devices. It's as if someone pulled the unit and the antenna of the portable computer. I also downloaded the wireless drivers and Setup several times without success. Wireless device appears in the Device Manager page. The only thing that is showing and work is the cable which is how I can download the drivers and appear on this forum. Is it possible that the wireless device is broken? All applicable lights are lit on the networking modem, no signal is detected on the computer, I have concluded that the wireless on the laptop is just inop. Either way, I have a Compaq Presario F700 laptop. All the options out there? Thank you
original title: can't find the wireless deviceHello again, Kathy,
More specific instruction, I can give to check settings in the BIOS of your system is to search for a list of devices that installed your laptop. There are only two options for each device, activate them and deactivate them.Look for something listed as network radio or wireless card and make sure that it is set to enable. The option that you network adapter found can also control the wireless adapter, but it can control only the plug adapter (Ethernet) network.A simpler solution, if you have not already tried it it is the system restore in Windows as mentioned by Kiran in a previous answer:WARNING: Changing the BIOS / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can resolved e. Changes to settings are at your own risk. -
