'CREATE JAVA' error: ORA-29506: derived from the USING clause invalid query

Hello

I created a table with the following attributes:

name varchar2 (200);
LOB_DATA blob

I loaded a java source file in the lob_data blob.

I then called the SQL:

create or replace and compile the java source named "RemoteCommand" using blob
Select lob_data from str_blob_table where name = 'RemoteCommand.java ';

and I get the error:

ORA-29506: invalid query from the USING clause
ORA-00936: lack of expression
29506 00000 - "query invalid derived from USING clause.
* Cause: The USING clause does not form a valid query.
* Action: Correct the USING clause.

If I simply copy and paste the query part of the USING clause:

Select lob_data from str_blob_table where name = 'RemoteCommand.java ';

I get a valid result in SQLDeveloper.

Any thoughts on what is happening here?

A few notes:
1. it is a 8i database.
2. it works very well on a 9i database, but according to the SQL reference for 8i, it should work as well.

Thank you
Brent

Try to delete "select" in the USING clause, that is to say change the SELECT BLOB SUPPORT... for BLOB to HELP... The original form of the syntax of JAVA to CREATE did not expect the SELECT token must be explicitly provided. Somewhere between 8i and 9i the parser was changed to try the provided text as well as what, with SELECT prefixed. So a CREATE JAVA statement you tried working in 9i but in 8i fails because SELECT would always be added before you try using the clause as a query, resulting a SELECT duplicate token.

    I am trying to evaluate the expression ': + b1: b2 + (: b3 *: b4) "which is stored in the table. This table has different expressions (expressions about 300). I want to use the bind variable in the expression because each expression evaluated thousands of time may be more in some cases. If I use bind variable can he fill pool.

    Is there a way I can pass parameters with the HELP of (IN) dynamically instead of write "help lv_tab (1), lv_tab (2), lv_tab (3), lv_tab (4)? As number of change of the input parameters depend on the expression in the table.

    If it is possible please suggest any other ideas/approaches

    Well, you keep changing faster reqs that I can follow. In any case, assuming that N-th variable bind (left to right) corresponds to n-th collection item:

    Declare
        result NUMBER;
        lv_tab values_tab := values_tab();
        lv_exp varchar2(300);
        lv_exec varchar2(300);
        lv_i number := 0;
    BEGIN
        lv_tab.extend(4);
        lv_tab(1) := 5;
        lv_tab(2) := 48;
        lv_tab(3) := 7;
        lv_tab(4) := 6;
        lv_exp := ':5000135+:5403456+(:5900111*:5200456)';
        lv_exec := lv_exp;
        While regexp_like(lv_exec,':\d+') loop
          lv_i := lv_i + 1;
          lv_exec := REGEXP_REPLACE(lv_exec,':\d+',':b(' || lv_i || ')',1,1);

    Finally found a SOLUTION at: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/14328621/oracle-10g-splitting-string-into-multiple-rows

    just change the way we create the view using the regexp_substr.

    CREATE VIEW UTILS. VW_ROL_USER AS

    SELECT distinct trim APPLICATION, ROL, (regexp_substr (USERS, ' [^,] +', 1, level)) USER

    FROM UTILS. SEG_ROLES t

    WHERE IT IS NOT NULL TO USERS

    CONNECTION BY instr (USERS, ',', 1, level - 1) > 0

    order by APPLICATION, ROL

    Thank you all

  • Error - NTLDR is missing from the Windows XP computer.

    Original title: difficulty ntldr missing.

    I don't have xp recovery disk. I get lack ntldr message at startup. How can I fix wihout disc?

    Since the MS Answers forum does not prompt for any information system when a new question is asked, we know absolutely nothing about your system.  What makes which gives good ideas for extremely difficult solution.

    Provide information on your system, the better you can:

    What is your system brand and model?

    What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

    Your system have IDE or SATA disks?

    Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

    The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination?  (this includes the plug pulling, buttons power, remove the battery, etc.)

    The afflicted system has a working CD/DVD (internal or external) drive?

    If the system works, what do you think might have changed since the last time it did not work properly?

    You can create a bootable CD from the Console of the Recovery XP (no XP media required) and start the XP Recovery Console.

    The chances are pretty good that there is a copy of the NTLDR file on your system to another location, so you can replace the missing file.

    The file is supposed to be like c:\ntldr c:\ root folder (note there is no file for the ntldr file extension) but of course your seems to have developed missing.

    If your system is preinstalled with XP there is probably a folder c:\i386 on your system and that there should be a copy of the file in folder c:\i386 NTLDR.

    If you have installed Service Pack 3 download Internet via the World Wide Web Wide, there will be a copy of the NTLDR file in this folder:

    c:\Windows\ServicepackFiles\i386

    Once you get started the recovery console and you ran chkdsk/r, I would see if these commands will work for you to replace the missing file:

    copy c:\i386\ntldr c:\

    or

    copy c:\windows\servicepackfiles\i386\ntldr c:\

    Here's how to make a CD of bootable XP Recovery Console and I would run the chkdsk /r FIRST to make sure that your file system is not damaged.

    Boot into the Recovery Console Windows using an XP bootable installation CD.

    If you have no XP bootable media (or aren't sure you have) create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console and do not forget.

    This is not the same as recovery disks that might have come with the acquisition of the system store.

    You can make a bootable Recovery Console CD by downloading an ISO file and burn it to a CD.

    The ISO bootable image file you need to download is called:

    xp_rec_con. ISO

    Download the ISO from here:

    http://www.mediafire.com/?ueyyzfymmig

    Use a new CD and this simple and free program to burn your ISO file and create your bootable CD:

    http://www.ImgBurn.com/

    When you install ImgBurn, DO NOT install the Ask toolbar.

    Here are some instructions for ImgBurn:

    http://Forum.ImgBurn.com/index.php?showtopic=61

    It would be a good idea to test your bootable CD on a computer running.

    You may need to adjust the computer BIOS settings to use the CD-ROM drive as the first device to boot instead of the hard drive.  These adjustments are made before Windows tries to load.  If you miss it, you will need to restart the system again.

    When you start on the CD, follow the instructions:

    Press any key to boot from CD...

    Installing Windows... going to pronounce.

    Press 'R' to enter the Recovery Console.

    Select the installation that you want to access (usually 1: C:\WINDOWS)

    You may be asked to enter the password (usually empty).

    You should be in the folder C:\WINDOWS.  It's the same as the

    C:\Windows folder that you see in Solution Explorer.

    The Recovery Console allows base as file commands: copy, rename, replace, delete, chkdsk, fixboot, fixmbr, cd, etc.

    For a list of the commands in the Recovery Console, type help at the prompt of commands or read on here XP Recovery Console:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/proddocs/en-us/recovery_console_cmds.mspx?mfr=true

    A good idea before you start things must first verify the integrity of your file system by using the chkdsk command.

    In the command prompt window, run the chkdsk command on the drive where Windows is installed to try to fix any problems on the afflicted player.

    Running chkdsk is fine, even if he finds no problem.  It won't hurt anything to run it.

    Assuming your boot drive is C, run the following command:

    CHKDSK C: /r

    Let chkdsk finish to correct the problems, he could find.

    It may take a long time for chkdsk complete or they seem to be "stuck".  Be patient.  If the HARD drive led blinks always, chkdsk is something.  Keep an eye on the amount of the percentage to be sure that it is still making progress.  It may even seem to go back sometime.

    You must run chkdsk/r again until it finds no error to correct.

  • FDM Create Application Error: Unable to connect to the database.

    Hello
    While trying to create a new application of FDM, I am not able to connect to the database. error: "unable to connect to the database. Please check the databases and verify the database is '. '. able to connect to the DB using the command line.

    I created the user in Oracle with access s/n (provided permissions: RESOURCE, CONNECT, CREATE SESSION, CREATE VIEW, CREATE DATABASE LINK)
    Oracle 32-bit client is installed with windows server 2008 R2 64-bit.

    I need to update the variable path or any other parameter that needs to be updated.
    Please help solve this problem.

    Hello

    I tried test the connection to the database of FDM help a 32-bit UDL file to check the 32-bit Oracle Client is installed and where the provider OLE DB for Oracle was not available.
    It was a problem with the installation of the Oracle customer 11.2.0.3, it seems that it is a known bug (NOTE > install the 11.2.0.3 Oracle OLE DB provider since the installation of Client media registers properly the provider [ID 1380742.1] Bug: 13417266 WHILE upgrading from 11.2.0.3, Setup is unable to REGISTER DLL ORAOLEDB).
    We have installed Oracle earlier version client and have seen the for Oracle OLEDB provider.
    After this created FDM application successfully.

    Thank you

  • Error ORA-12899, even you the length of the data is correct.

    Dear all,

    I'm getting ORA-12899 problem: value too large for column 'TEST '. "'"' STUDENT'."" NAME"(size: 94, maximum: 79).
    Valer'evne you the length of the column 'Name' is less than 79.

    Infact I am getting the value of 'Name' of the other database, processing in Java and you try to insert the value in Oracle database with the help of hibernation, the length of the 'name' is located only 60 I checked in Java, before inserting this value.

    Even after having inserted the length is only 60 too, I see Oracle. So why Oracle throws this error at the time of the insertion of the value of the "name"?

    Any body have an idea on the question, please help.

    Thanking you all.

    AL32UTF8 is a multibyte character set: each character can take up to 4 bytes. So, you have to modify the table definition for this with something like (assuming that the maximum number of bytes would be 320):

    alter table student modify (name varchar2(320));

    I also tried to purge of feedback by DEV and then import, but I get the same error.

    Thoughts or comments appreciated.

    Kind regards

    Simon Gadd

    Hi Simon,.

    is your PSU we do the same apex as your DEV instance? In other words, do you use just a different workspace for your PSU?
    Feedback can only be synchronized between different instances of the APEX.
