Using Vista - Windows Mail, how to create a new contact group?
The help files tell to open Windows Contacts, and then click Add new group on the toolbar, there is not to add a new group on the toolbar, the solution that I use currently is to copy an existing group and edit and rename it. Am I missing something?

Contacts in Windows Mail doesn't have to 'Make a new Contact Group' in the toolbar
I'm unable to create a distribution list, because the option 'Make a new Contact Group' does not appear in my Contacts toolbar. Also the "Add a new Contact" option does not appear in the toolbar. The only options that appear are «organize...» Display... Burn. " I don't get any menu when I right click on the toolbar.
I use Windows Vista Home Premium on a laptop Gateway.
I also found the answer!
As said above Nimbostratus, but here's another way to do the same.OPEN your contacts folder
In the left column of the screen, you should see your CONTACTS folder. Right click on it.
Who should bring up the menu drop down and then click on PROPERTIES.One of the tabs is called CUSTOMIZE. Click on this
The first line says: "what kind of folder do you want?
I bet you anything that he does not say CONTACTS just below that!
Change it to CONTACTS and all your problems 'create a new contact group' are now solved... -
In the Contacts file, cannot create new contact groups
The menu instructions help to declare the following: in the toolbar, click New Contact Group, type a name in the group name box and then fill in the tabs of the Contact Group and contact information group. You do not have to fill in all the boxes; Just type as much information as you want about the new contact group you create.
Everything would be easier if "New group contact" appeared on the toolbar. He isn't here. I was in the past, because I have a number of contact groups in the file. What happened to him?
Please repost your question in the Forum program: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistaprograms/threads where people who specialize in programs other than Vista and IE (like Windows Contacts) will be more than happy to help you with your question.

'New Contact' and "New Contact Group" endangered acted Windows Messaging
I have two identities on my computer, one for personal use (Administrator) and the one I use for my home business. When I click on Contacts for my second identity email Windows, 'New Contact' and 'New group contact' do not appear. They appeared, then began to disappear and reappear from time to time, and now they don't come at all. Because I need to frequently use Group emails, it's maddening. Can anyone help please?
