Creating executables

Hi I'm using labview 8.6

I would like to make an executable, but when I open it from another computer it dosent work.

I have installed the correct version of the runtime libraries but it still does not work, he is asked to «find the shared library name nivaiu.dll»

is it possible to make the executable file include the libarys? If yes how can I do this?

can anyone help?

It seems that missing the DAQmx library.  If you want to include that, the easiest (note that I didn't say easy) is to build a Setup program.  It is not difficult (once you've done a couple of times).

  • Creating executables - how to add config-ini?

    Hello

    I created a new graphic interface which reads at startup a file config.ini.

    In vi, I specified the path to the ini file to be in the same path as thecalling-vi.

    It also works if I create an executable? So that the ini file is searched for in the same way as the executable?

    Thank you

    You must use the function "ApplicationDirectory" to specify the path to the configuration file.

    It will work in the EXE as during development, until you consider the rules for this function. Please see using LV for detailed information on this.

  • Is there a tutorial for creating executables in real-time?

    I have the code in real-time which works OK in LabView (not the final version no doubt but I need to learn two or three other things as well).

    Now, I would like to create an executable file that I would run on some PCs with some inside monitors and control.

    I found little exercise on the development of Application (shortly): 1) create shared variables) 2 create a copy of the Vi that works and to replace the controls and monitors in it with static variable) 3 Windows creating welcome 4 VI) probably create an executable after that (step not described in the exercise).

    I'm currently stuck at step 3 with the 1950679035 error.

    Looks like a well known error, but I found no solution yet.

    My question is: which is the right way, I'm moving to? Or there is another way to create applications with control and monitoring of the device in time real NIcRIO 9072?

    Hi Sergey,

    Glad to hear that you are making progress.

    And all you need to do now is create the façade in the same way that you would create a normal .exe file.

    no way to solve the problem facing the two version and in debug mode.

    Hi again,

    problem found!

    I've been using an icon file that contains an image of resolution 256 x 256, and that caused the error.

    Using the same file icon with a maximum resolution of 48 x 48, CVI finishes his work without errors.

    Hope this is useful to the community.

  • Application builder appears complete but does not create executable not

    I'm working on a major project (~ 5000 screws, LV2011 SP1, Win7 32 bit) and have recently from problems with the Application Builder. This is after 3-4 years of success is based on this project...

    When I try to build my application of following higher level occurs:

    1. "build status' window opens as usual and starts the processing of my file:

    2. Subsequently, the progress bar reaches about halfway and the message becomes "Compilation."... » :

    3. then the progress bar jumps sharply at the end and the message becomes "Save...". ». In addition, the 'Done' button becomes active, as if the build is completed. The window remains like this for always. Notes on this dialog box:

    • The 'Explorer' and 'Help' buttons work normally in this State.
    • If I press the 'Done' button (or close the window with the Red 'X') then the window closes but Labview is suspended. The only way out of here is to kill the process in Task Manager.

    4. If I sail in my generation folder so I see temporary build files are still sitting here, i.e. the manufacturer failed to create my exe...

    When I turn on logging, I see that all the files seem to be treated successfully (in comparison with a previous successful build log), but the paper stops before writing the article ' [output file Version]]... ".

    Anyway - I'm trying to restore a large number of small changes to see if I can isolate that my changes of code causing the problem.

    Someone out there knows what could cause request the manufacturer to get as much as he does, thinking it's done (even if this isn't the case)?

    Thanks for all the ideas...

    Well - I finally managed to isolate the problem... Corrupted code is attached!

    The attached code is a version of a dialog box that is used in my project. The question turned out to be associated with the order by radio inside the tab control:

    • If you open the library and then try to REMOVE the two controls private library (simultaneously), then you are greeted with the accident below report. NOTE: Remove the private items one-at-a-time does not cause the accident. (weird...)
    • The same happens if you try to rename the library

    The solution:

    • The inclusion of this library in my project was originally my application build will fail every time.
    • Given that the report mentions "RadioClust.cpp", I made the amazing jump that the question has been connected with the radio control... so I just unplugged all instances of this control their typedef. That seems to have fixed!

    ASIDE: I have not checked if including this library in a different application will cause his generation to not too... Something to try out a rainy day!

  • Create a button for af:table #{bindings. Create.Execute} - problem

    (JDev 10.1.3.5)

    I create jspx - then drag af:PanelPage on it - then drag af:table on it - then drag the create operation as command button on the facet of the action table table.
    Then I throw the jspx, it shows the existing records in the af: table.
    Then I click on the button create and nothing visible happens.
    Then I click on the button create new and I get the new blank line in af:table. But at the same time, I get a few messages Houston, complaining of certain values of the required attributes:
    1 Houston-27027: missing required attributes for a line with key null of type HgpAppModule.HgpGeologijaTalView2
    2 Houston-27014: attribute HgprId...
    Then, I can enter the values in the empty line and do validate and line is stored in DB. But if I click the Create button once again, everything behaves as the first time.

    It is obvious that something is happening behind the scenes (new line added in VO/iterator?) even to the first click. And to the second click, there's attempt to add another row behind, but because of the required values (defined on EO) the JBOs are displayed.

    A I missed something? Oracle bug?
    Please advice where to start to solve the problem.

    Kind regards
    Sašo

    You must use the createInsert instead of the create operation operation to get the behavior you want.

  • Create an executable by mathscript or from the Windows command window

    Hello

    I have a lot of screws that must be built into executables. So, I think to write a script to save time.

    Windows MathScript looks a lot like the command window in MATLAB, so I wonder if there is a way to create executable files using mathscript?

    Or is it possible to build from the windows command window?

    Thanks for your reply and have a nice day.

    Yan

    You can use the tools in the palette of constructor calls write a LabVIEW program to automate the construction of applications.

    (Somehow I don't understand not what you want. Building is usually negligible compared to write the program or the configuration of the build).

  • Executable, create additional folders for oscilloscope and Signal Analyzer

    Hello world

    I am facing problem while creating executable. I use 8.x layout.

    I'm talking about signals and oscilloscope monitor in my application. When I create an executable of my application, I found in the target folder 2 additional folders with the names "Series Agilent MXA" and "Tektronix TDS 300 series '... These are the drivers that I use in my application.

    I used extended in other projects, but it doesn't create any folder there... I use 8.x available there too.

    Any guess on why this guy is create a few extra folders. Please see the attached image showing the preview of the executable file.

    Mmmmmmmm... his party...

    what I've done is... I replaced initialize.vi and close.vi of the reach of the driver that has been installed using the installer instead of the folder project style... and I did to reach only... but now executable doesn't create any extra folder... I don't know how is the signal Analyzer thing went...

  • CVI executable causes an on update of Windows 10 anniversary 0xC0000005 Access Violation.

    Created executables always causes an Access Violation (0xc0000005 exception) to the closing period on Windows 10 RS1 (update of the anniversary).

    This problem occurs in LabWindows CVI 2015 and 2015 SP1.

    How to reproduce: simple program to create and compile with the (x 86) release profile by default.

    for example:

    #include "test.h".

    int ph;

    int __stdcall WinMain (HINSTANCE hInstance, HINSTANCE hPrevInstance,
    LPSTR lpszCmdLine, int nCmdShow)
    {
    If (InitCVIRTE (hInstance, 0, 0) == 0)
    Returns - 1; / * memory * /.

    pH = LoadPanel (0, "test.uir", group of EXPERTS);
    DisplayPanel (ph);
    RunUserInterface();

    return 0;
    }

    int CVICALLBACK CallExit (int, int int event, control panel,
    void * callbackData, int eventData1, int eventData2)
    {
    switch (event)
    {
    case EVENT_COMMIT:
    QuitUserInterface (0);
    break;
    }
    return 0;
    }

    The problem is visible on the control panel > reliability history > Error Reporting:

    Also the code of the executable file (exit code) is always 0xc0000005 instead of zero.

    To check out more easily code can be called the executable through file .bat:

    off @echo
    Test.exe
    echo ExitCode = %ERRORLEVEL%
    pause

    I have observed that if multiple instances of the same program are running, only block when the last instance is closed. It seems that the problem occurs at the time that the CVI runtime is released from the ram. (The latter is only a guess)

    Hello

    We did some research and saw that the failure is related to some police files in

    c:\Windows\SysWOW64\cvirte\fonts

    c:\Windows\System32\cvirte\fonts

    Could you try deleting these files and see if the heater is always performed. If this isn't the case, it would be a work around if you do not use these fonts.

  • By using Labview 7.1 created EXE in Windows Mobile 6.0

    Can I use my edition of the profeesion of 7.1 to create EXE files to run on Windows Mobile 6.0?  I created EXE files and then run directly on touch screen XP embedded without special Touchscreen Mobule.  I was wondering if this is possible under Windows Mobile 6.0?

    This does not work for various reasons. First XP Embedded is just XP with more control on which modules to install and what not. Second reason, it also only works on Intel/AMD x 86 processors. So if you create an executable in LabVIEW for Windows, it will run under XP embedded too, provided that you do not access system services that have not been installed on your XP embedded system.

    Laptop (or as it was earlier called Windows CE) is built in the same way as the Windows API but is not the same. Applications are only (with many limits) source compatible between laptop and normal Windows, but absolutely not binary compatible. Also all Mobile PC systems running on a RISC CPU as the ARM architecture. For these processors has compiled executable for the x 86 CPU architecture is simply a waste of bytes no meaning whatsoever.

    As says altenbach that LabVIEW PDA module to create executable files for Mobile PC systems. But beware, portable PC systems are not at all comparable to desktop systems. The performance of your hardware is magnitudes less, Windows CE (laptop) API is much narrower than on the Windows desktop and PDA module also for this reason has its own limitations. Do not expect a sign before be worn flawlessly to your PDA. There is much less control to choose and also the limited screen real estate is another severe limitation on applications of port Office seamlessly to a PDA.

  • creating a new project wizard

    Hi, I was wondering if it was possible to create a custom Project Wizard and put it on the "Getting Started" window with other project assistants.

    Here is my 2 pence on what, in my opinion, what you are looking for...

    I have never come in contact with someone who has undertaken this task before.

    To create your own project Assistant will be a difficult process. Almost everything you see in LabVIEW, as Finder examples and project Assistant, are all the screws that have been written in LabVIEW.

    So you can write your own VI which has the same functionality, but of course, you have control over customization. If you have a suite of LabVIEW which allows you to create executable files then you could maybe start the "custom Project Wizard" as an executable file, which in turn would launch LabVIEW once selections have been made.

    As mentioned earlier, a task that has perhaps ever undertaken by the community and which would require a vast knowledge of LabVIEW.

  • Library closed not included in the executable

    I took a small subsection of the code a lot longer VI I use to assess the rate of Bit error on a tester.

    This small part of the code that I wanted to use to create a single executable file that technicians could use to the test when manually retry for failures of receiver.

    I am new to creating executables.

    VI, I don't ' ask to build (EXE) VI ' of which a project is created and then "Build".

    In my local directory 'build', I find myself with a folder and multiple files (.exe, .ini and .alias and a dll).

    In the meantime, I have the latest LV Runtime Engine installed on the PC test bench.

    I copy 'building' the folder for the test PC and when I run the executable, I get errors because it cannot open a library file "Interpolation of Spline".

    The file is located in the project that has been created, but it shows as "locked."

    I am doing something wrong here or this library 'analysis' is exclusive to the PC where LabView is installed?

    Thank you
