Creating Windows DVD - burning is not the whole video

Hello

Hoping someone may be able to provide me with assistance.

I added successfully 4 VTS_01 film of video files in a project using create DVD Windows, using windows Vista. I entered all the information and personalized menu to suit me. I then run the preview everything seems very well the film will play form beginning to end.

Now hear is my problem.

When I burn the project to a disk, it will go through the movements of code and finally burn to the disc. Once it is finished burning, the disc is ejected.

I'm going to play in my DVD Player menus I have made show the 4 files ok and I play the movie. But he will play only the first 28 minutes of the film. I tried selecting other scenes that won't play in the menu of the scene and yet it just starts at the beginning and only run 28 minuets and start over.

I tried to use the DVD + RW 4.7 GB and DVD-R DL 8.5 GB think my film can now be too big once I added the menu, that's why I tried the 8.5 GB. The film was initially recorded on the DVD + RW 4.7 GB until I ran across Windows DVD Maker. The original plays very well.

There are no problems with the discs, burner or DVD play as I have tried several, also tested incentive.

Is there something I'm not directly in the program? Believe if the files are not compatible at all why would be him coming up in Windows DVD Maker and I would like to twick the menu and burn?

Hoping someone can help as my film is really great on the preview.

Kind regards

A

You say you converted. WMP... I'm guessing that you
has meant. WMV?

The duration of 88 minutes should not be too long for a
DVD, but the project may be too complex for your
system resources. As a general rule, small projects
have a better success rate.

Did you add additional files to this project? MP3
for example music files?

What version of Movie Maker are you running?
Vista Movie Maker 6 or Windows Live Movie Maker?

If it is Vista Movie Maker 6... try disabling the filters
Movie Maker... it can have some effect on DVD Maker.
Reach... Tools / Options / Compatibility tab and turn off
all filters / OK.

If you continue to have problems with burning your video
DVD... the following freeware can be worth a try.

Again, I tried severale time and again on April 24, 2015, the ratio has to be 4:3!

Too bad because I like the creation of DVD menu.

I found the solution... very simple and it will work every time. before you burn the DVD with windows DVD creation, make sure you 'exit' your video to mpeg2 format, no matter what software you use to edit your videos, make sure you "output" your finished video in MPEG2 before burning with windows DVD maker

MPEG2 is a DVD format that windows DVD maker recognizes and so it will burn your video ratio 16.9 this video will play on any DVD player. AVI WMV formats won't work even if you copy with movie maker then MPEG2... This is the key ~ MPEG2 ~ that's the secret.

Unfortunately, Movie Maker stores projects only as MPEG-4 (.mp4) or Windows Media Video (.wmv).

If your solution is another problem. We should convert mp4 or wmv in MPEG-2, how?

Problem - DVD burned with Windows DVD maker not fianalize Amend will be will not play back on normal household players

After spending a considerable amount of time and money (on blank media) trying to produce a DVD that will play on my Panasonic player normal, that I gave up. If you Google this problem there are a lot of people out there with the same problem then why not can it be 'fixed' once and for all by SM.

I tried to burn a slideshow of photo from Windows Live Photo Gallery, but she is spit out the disc at the end of 98.8%. R DVD plays perfectly on the PC but not the standalone player.

I even tried to change the types of burners and media, but they all gave the same problem. The disc is not finalized.

I can burn the DVD with the third-party software and these play fine, even, if I use XP pro, all is well so it's down to Vista I'm afraid. I have the latest version of Vista sp1 and all the drivers etc are up to date.

In view of the foregoing can recommend a decent software that will burn DVD properly with Vista AND produce photo jpeg slide shows?

Thanks in advance for any help
