• 6/HTML5 URL for loading Captivate but Captivate page comes down to a 404 error

  Hi all!

  I'm sure it's something simple, but I can't seem to understand what is happening. I have a Captivate 6 project (http://cs.franklin.edu/~heinem01) which has several slides linking the HTML5/jQuery pages for interactivity. I advanced actions implemented on the front slide for the promotion of text box, and then the last step, I've coded it to open the URL in a new window and also advance to the next slide (so when the user clicks on the close link which exists on the html5/jquery page, they will have to return to the screen of captivate and they can continue on). The new page is coming fine, but the captivate project is droping to a 404 error instead of just moving to the next slide. What Miss me?   I don't know if Miss me a step in my Advanced action or if I have something stuck in the captivate file to cause it. Any ideas would be appreciated!

  Look more closely at your URL in your tip action.  It looks like you can be a link to a URL that does not exist.

  There have been problems with Cp 5.0 and 5.5 with the target don't paste not correctly when selected.  This bug may have carried over from Cp 6.0.  I choose a different target... and then put it back again.

  You may just want to remove the step "open URL or file" and re-create it.  Do not click on the button «...» "elipsis, just type the URL by hand and see if that makes a difference.

  In 10 years Toshiba has offered several different notebooks with the remote, but something like this was never possible and remote control buttons were always with defined function.

  I have a MacBook Pro (Intel Core i5 2.53 Ghz to) that I use to connect to a desktop computer Dell Windows XP Professional SP3 Windows Remote Desktop for Mac 2.01.  Connecting to XP from my Mac desktop, everything seems to work properly.  Looking more closely however, radio buttons do not appear on the applications that use them.  This does not work with just a single application, but in all areas with applications and web browsers in the side of XP displaying my Mac desktop.  This problem can also be reproduced with laptops and desktop computers running XP SP3.

• Try to set up remote access for Foscam babyphone. Windows Vista & I have A Westell router. I can't understand this helps :(

  Im trying to set up remote access for a babyphone Foscam (Fl8918W). I worked on it all day.  No matter what I do, I can't get the camera to get on my computer (or iPhone).

  Here's some of what I've done so far...

  -Camera configuration and find the IP address

  -Type the IP address of the camera in the browser and camera open (it uses Active X)

  -Change Port number of the camera (Guide suggested using 2000)

  -Now you can type the IP address and the port number in the browser and access camera

  -Complete the Port forwarding on the router (I did this several times using each option that I could understand. Finally, I think that I did it correctly because it looked like he turned on - but I don't really know.  "I couldn't get any real information on the Port Forwarding for my Westell A90-750045-07).

  -Access using the public IP address.  It did not work at all. I had to find my IP address for my computer/network (which I did) then open my browser and type the IP address followed by: 2000 (new port). The camera was then to open in the browser, but it did not work.

  -IP service.  Management said that the device could be available over the internet using a public IP address. He told me to go on No - IP and sign up for the free service.  After the signing, I was directed to create a host name.  I managed to do it.

  -L' direct access of the ACTIVE camera address No - IP.  I was directed to type my address No - IP (hostname) in my browser, followed by: and the Port number (: 2000). He said that I should then able to access my camera from a computer or mobile app on the Internet using this address.  This does not at all.

  -J' tried to make it work with my iPhone. I was directed to download and install an application called Live Cams Pro - by Eggman Technologies.  He then ordered me to add a camera. I chose the correct model of Foscam, entered the IP address (or my No - IP address) WITHOUT port number, then on another line, I entered the Port number, entered my user name and password and click Save.  Nothing ever came and finally the connection times out.

  I did all the change of option combinations in each stage as many times I could think.  All I could change in these steps, I tried all the options I could.  I can't make it work.

  I'm so frustrated.  I'm not a computer person.  I managed to do a lot of things by reading the instructions carefully.  I read the Foscam Installation Guide and the next babyphones instruction manual (I bought the camera from the company).  Nothing I've tried works.

  Any direction would be greatly appreciated.

  Did you put the IP cameras as a destination / local IP?
  If this is not the case, do.

  Aside from that, the best would be to contact the manufacturer of your router for assistance with how to correctly forward ports to your camera.

  So I have an idea to build an HTML5 app for use by the Office on BES10. Basically it digitizes a 2 page paper form to be used on a device (PlayBook or Android) taking advantage of the function of swipping and scrolling of screen minimizing

  Here are the details:

  (1) the office worker: take Excel data and partially fills a form (or multiple shapes - similar to mail merge) to a specific area coordinator.

  (2) the office worker: push forms pre-filled as a coordinator on a PlayBook application or another html5 client connected to BES10 (private App)

  (3) Coordinator: logs in-App to 'their space '.

  (4) Coordinator: filling out form and supports (or partially fill in form to submit later).

  (5) time stamp is applied to participate "forms" submitted.

  (6) field coordinator: can view their history of completed forms (read-only)

  (7) the office worker: can view, print, save, or extract data from forms.

  How I started with this project? I have to go back and take a class HTML5 then a webworks courses?

  When you think Webworks is a framework that relies on HTML5, CSS and JavaScript for its applications.

  So if you are looking to develop an application, with a background in HTML5, JavaScript and CSS is certainly recommended and would be the best starting point that I can recommend.

  In your case, it seems that it would also be a bit of work on the backbone (to store data on a server) for which I highly recommend looking in Node.js + Express.js (for the web server) and MySQL for any back-end storage.

  WebWorks which gives you on top of that is a subset of the JavaScript APIs specific BlackBerry that allows you to take advantage of the native features (Toast messages, Push Services, etc.)

  However the structure underlying and functionality is always HTML5, JavaScript and CSS.

  Once your application is HTML5 writes, and you have chosen to use / not use WebWorks APIs, you can then use WebWorks to 'package' for your project of HTML5 in a file that runs on BlackBerry 10 devices.

  The app itself is so standard web technology, with the ability to use native APIs via WebWorks. And WebWorks place it in a container that can be run on a physical device.

  Welcome to Eloqua and Topliners.

  Unfortunately, you will need to create a landing page where you place the form and then put the URL of the page in an iFrame. It of really easy and simple to do and takes only minutes. Make sure that the dimensions of the page corresponding to the dimensions of the iFrame. Coders may be another way, but it propably takes more time.

  The form will have a url that you have defined in the parameters form, but as far as I know it can be used as a stand-alone www url.
