  You can use a scrollpane component. Simply create a movieclip with some content you want scrolling, set the ID of this movieclip binding and set the contentPath of the scollpane to this connection ID.

• Read external text and display in a slide in Captivate 4?

  I wonder if someone else did it?

  A slide in one of my lessons depends on text that is constantly evolving and I need a way to display the text WITHOUT having to modify the Captivate project and re - publish, on an hourly basis.

  Is there an easy way to do this?

  The text is coded HTML so ultimately, I am looking for a way to read an external html file in a Captivate slide. If there is a problem in HTML, the text can be formatted in plain text format.

  One idea is to have a 'window' in my lesson of Captivate, that points to a URL. This URL points to a simple HTML file that contains text and maybe a chart or two.

  Note:

  1. I don't want to open a new page web (I know it's easy to Captivate).

  2. I know that I can write the code Flash and 'probably' this insert into Captivate... I wonder if anyone knows how to do this Captivate (without additional Flash code). I Flash at home, but I don't have a Flash to work, and I was hoping to get there before the end of my work day.

  You could try my google spreadsheet widget that displays the dynamic text to a google spreadsheet.  It's an AS3 widget and you can find it on my blog here.  And Yes... it's free.

  I get a lot of emails from my music listings and these contain text and graphics. I try to copy all select but will not stick in the free desktop. Or I can't save in PDF format. How can I get the body of the text (no attachments) in a PDF form so I can get it up online for viewing on my iPad?

  Have you tried opening the e-mail, then command - P (Print) and then click on PDF/save PDF at the bottom left?

  This option is there in the Widget "Lighbox display" in the "Compositions" the Widgets category.

  You can add a text or image or both on containers of its target. You will find this widget in the Widget Panel itself in Muse.

• How to copy link to display the text in the Clipboard in the iphone?

  Situation: I get an email of delivery notification to an online store with the clickable link that displays the tracking number.

  Example: I see a link with the text "1zA56300" which is my tracking number.

  What I want to do is to select the text to display link, copy it and paste it into my shipment tracking application (I use the app delivery) to allow the application to track packages. However, my iPhone copy the URL instead of the tracking number.

  For example: copy the url http://shippingcompany.com/reallylonglink to the Clipboard. The request of delivery cannot analyze this link is useless to me.

  Is there a way to have the Apple mail for iOS copies the text that is displayed on the screen instead of the underlying URL?

  Looks like you want to copy the text of a link rather than the link itself.  Be able to copy and paste what you need can save a lot of extra keys and helps to ensure accuracy.

  To copy the text, rather than the underlying connection, is to tap on the word before or after the link, select copy, and then move the selector so that it contains the text of the link.  This will then copy the text and not the underlying link and allows you to paste the text where you need.

• Cannot paste the html link in the edit box of html for ebay using 24.0 FF on Kubuntu 12.04 - the destination of the link is displayed instead.

  In chrome and rekonq under Kubuntu 12.04, in all browsers including FF 24.0 under Windows 7 64 bit, ebay html editor (accessible by clicking on the 'HTML' tab next to the 'Standard' tab in the "Add a description" section of the "Edit registration" page) works as expected. For example paste a HTML from photobucket link to an image fits the link text in the editor. With FF 24.0 under Kubuntu 12.04 image is displayed, i.e. the link is followed.

  However, nothing is really stuck, the image is displayed, but nothing is changed in the HTML itself. Closure of the area of editing html and return to it details unchanged content.

  Paste the link into the Standard editor works as expected: the image appears in the wysiwg editor and go to the shows html editor html link was added.

  Editing in the html editor works as it should, pasted from an external source links are followed instead of being stuck in.

  Correction: this is not a problem with FF. Links pasted from another tab in the same instance of FF behave correctly. The problem is caused by pasting links from an external source.   Only public displays the style attributes and reacts as a link. Health movement displays the style attributes, but not the link.

  Seems to be a z-index issue. Move the text elements to the top of the assets Panel, corrects the it.

  I did the first two, you can go ahead and set the others. (I put them in a group to find it easier / organization.)

  Also for channels html() "long", instead of on a single line, you can break down it simple by adding------.

  Check the code in my file to see what I mean.

  Is it possible to create a HTML link from a button or a text in an article that invokes the subscription popup box buy?

  On the home page for the viewer which shows the individual issues, you can click to purchase a number, or click on a banner at the top to buy a subscription.

  Once this is clicked a pop-up box will appear which indicates different price levels.

  Is there anyway to start the purchase of subscription in an article?

  If you have a business account, you can use a link ww.gotoStore to open the store HTML that is associated with a Store named custom nav bar button. If you have a Pro account, I'm not aware of a way to view subscription options. You can create a button that opens the library if that helps.

  In the parts of the HTML, you can add what you want in the Source of the region parameter.

  If you want to add a link to a page, you can do:

  <a href="f?p=&APP_ID.:1:&APP_SESSION.">Link to page 1</a>
  

  This is a link to page 1. If you need to pass data in fields on page 1, you must add additional text for the link. See: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17556_01/doc/user.40/e15517/concept.htm#sthref112 for more information on the syntax of the URL

  Note that you must remind you build HTML in the source region - so you use < br > for crossings of line etc.
