Creation of recovery disks without the ability to boot - Satellite L300

Hello!

I have a Toshiba Satellite L300-139 (Vista, 160GG, 2 GB of memory).

Hard drive has been damaged (when Vista starts, the system won't start at all, and each time only a white screen with the mouse arrow is shown--> tried all the choice + start PE etc but there is no access to the Recovery Console) and it doesn't have the ability to run the CHKDSK command to resolve this problem.

No recovery disk was created when the computer was new.

I removed the hard drive laptop and plugged into my desktop computer, but 2 partitions on 3 were damaged, and I managed to recover data, including:

c:\Program Toshiba
d:\HDDRecovery

Data recovery was made using www.sysresccd.org and external USB hard drive.

I copied all the data on the USB drive and run program TRORDCLauncher (run as administrator). He didn't he removes my vista DVD player and it fails with the error (rough translation):
"Another process is using the drive or there is no available disks. Check the status of the drive. [OK] »

It seems that the recovery of the Images have been created with Windows PE 2.0 tools (Imagex), but that the data is spread around the files I was able to manually create the recovery disks.

Ideas and knowledge how to create diskettes of recovery with this data, what I have or what I need to order the DVD and wait a few weeks before sunrise to new system?

Thank you!

-L

PS.
If anyone knows a nice solution for Microsoft CHKDSK running to my computer, I would be happy! Tried: PE starts (versions of Vista and xp) + all recovery methods that were available in my computer... a Simple boot with sata support and run CHKDSK ISO image would be nice!

Sorry but there is no chance that you can create recovery DVDs. Recovery DVDs can be created if you use creator only Toshiba Recovery tool and unfortunately there is no way to do it.

Using F8 HARD drive recovery procedure can work only if the HARD drive configuration is not modified (new operating system installed), the HARD drive recovery folder must be placed on the second partition.
So with short words, you can do this only if the laptop to factory settings. Now, you can't do anything other than the original new order DVD of recovery for this model of laptop.

If you want to do this you can order under https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx

Good bye

  • Creation of recovery disks - problems

    Hi all

I wonder if anyone can help me?

I recently bought a used HP Pavilion DV6 (DV6-2110ea - product number: VY095EA) laptop and I have problems with the recovery system.

When I bought it, I managed to recover the system to set up the laptop back to settings by default, and as an afterthought, I tried using the recovery software to see if I could create a set of disks.

I ran the program expects to be told that the records had been created, but the software came with the message that he has split the partition to create the DVD.

After a while, he came with a message saying that the disc 2 of 4 was created and asked for the next DVD.

It seems that the creation of recovery disks never finished original owner and I was wondering if there was a way to start the process so I could successfully create disks.

Any help you guys could give would be extremely useful.

    Thanks in advance.

    Re the above:

I have authorized the creation of recovery software complete two final discs that then created file "hpdrcu.prc" in both the location suggested above.

I deleted the and represented software and it has allowed me to create a complete set of discs.

Whether if they work, it is another matter altogether, but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it (again - there's always Linux)

    Thanks anyway.

  • Satellite 2450 - the recovery disk contains the same OS?

I have a Toshiba 2450 (Yes old enough) and I want to reformat the HARD drive and install Windows XP.

Now, my question is I can do with the product recovery CD, and if I reformat with him it will be the same operating system as before (Windows XP home edition) with all the required drivers for Toshiba or some other OS? :)

    Hello!

If you don't have your laptop with Windows XP Home Edition recovery disk contains the operating system.

The recovery disc to factory settings. This means that the operating system that came with the laptop.

  • Satellite l.660-12 q - would the recovery disk rebuild the new HARD disk with a new recovery partition

Talk about confusion. Does anyone know how to get a Toshiba C660 work after the HARD drive failed and the owner has stupidly NOT followed the instructions to make a recovery disk. Will be the recovery disk (if buy you one from Toshiba) rebuild the new HARD disk with a new recovery partition and install windows 7 (original OS) and accept the product key printed on the Windows license, attached to the base of the laptop. I have read a number of suggestions, but these have been considered incorrect by others.

Surely, Toshiba must have a way to sort this problem.

    They read these messages?

    Hey Buddy

I don't think it's really complicated, that I could find all the information about the recovery procedure in the user's manual

The recovery disk must be created on the first day of purchase its recommended to create one in case something would be wrong with the HARD drive.

The recovery disk contains an image. The image is a package containing Win system, drivers, tools and all the stuff pre-installed on the notebook.
You bought the laptop and the system has already been activated so that you have need of t the key placed at the bottom of the unit.
In addition, the use of the recovery disc formats the drive HARD integer (partitions too) and set the laptop in the same condition as at the first day of the purchase.

There is also another option to recover the notebook called HARD drive recovery. This HARD drive recovery requires no recovery disk. The recovery disc HARD would be to use format ONLY partition C (System).

  • Manufacturing recovery disks when the computer hangs when burning the DVD the first time

I bought a new desktop computer HP Desktop Core I-7.  When I first connected, I started to burn the recovery disks.  The problem is, the first burned disc and then the computer locked up before burning DVD 2 and 3 and had to be restarted.  Now, I can't complete the game of recovery disks.

The good news is that I have used the first disc to access the recovery partition on the hard disk to rebuild everything, but now I did put a good recovery.  Can I fix?  Or do I have to hope that my drive will never block?  Can I save the partition of subsequent restoration of a hard disk crash?

Memorex DVD + R media was bad.  New media staring upward.

  • All disks with the new series of satellites A?

I searched the Forum from A Satellite and have only found information on the creation of recovery disks...

I am fully aware that Toshiba laptops do not come out with disks of Vista, but I want to just make sure you Toshiba Satellite comes with NO records of any kind (OS, recovery of the manufacturer, etc.).

The only reason why I ask is that someone mentioned in another forum somewhere that they don't got no disk Vista, but got the manufacturer for their Toshiba laptop recovery disk... She didn't specify a model, but I was always a little worried. Thus, no Satellite an owners, CD-ROM, or none? I'm sure that there are no drives included with this model, but want to be 100%, just in case I'm missing something and need to go back and get it.

    Thank you, Susan

    Hello

Toshiba laptops are always delivered only with a recovery CD! The original CD of Microsoft is not provided!

The restore CD contains an operating system Windows, Toshiba drivers, tools and utilities.
So, using this CD or DVD you will set the laptop to factory settings.
This means that the whole HARD disk will be erased and the new OS will be installed.

    I hope I could bring a precision!

  • How to install Vista from the recovery disk without defining partitions?

    Hello

I have my recovery disk and I have installed a new 320 gb HHD.
When I installed the recovery disc, it re done the 160 GB partitions in each (2 partitions more the 1 recovery partition)...

But I want to dual boot with XP pro because of software problems and I prefer it sometimes...
    I redid my scores, 1 - 51 GB for XP pro(32bit), 2nd - 51 GB for vista (32 gb) and the 3rd - 210 gb is for storage

How to install with Toshiba vista o/s and stuff that comes with it on the recovery disc, immediately to the 2nd partition without affecting how I configure the hard drive...

I have about 100 GB of photos, music, and cam vids on storage, with nowhere to put them, so I can't risk, because some are copy only (so it might be a good idea to let me know how I save this s on my storage spread in the DVD please)

If I can t, then can some1 please tell me how to get my Toshiba OEM vista off this recovery disk or a link for me?

Hope all this makes sense lol... Thank you
    Shane

If you have so much important material best save is to buy an external HARD drive and copy all this stuff here. I recommend buying the small 2.5 external HDD and when necessary, you can take with you and connect to any computer, if you want to view or copy this file. External hard discs connected to other computers with a supplied USB cable.

    Return to your partitions.
When you use the original Toshiba DVD facilities, you will have 3 partitions.
WinRE - partition and it belongs to the Vista operating system. This partition is not visible, and this isn't some sort of Toshiba recovery partition
    -C for Vista partition
Or-d/E to the DATA in the partition. This partition is recorded recovery image in the folder called HDDRecovery
I don't know what model of laptop you have, but this configuration is on all new Toshiba laptops shipped WITHOUT recovery media.

Using Toshiba recovery media, you will be able to get exactly mentioned structure of the partitions. Support to recovery facilities using you WILL NOT be able to install Vista on the second partition.

So if you want to have the dual boot with Windows XP Home edition, you can do following:
-At first, you are going to install Vista with support of recovery and on the second partition, you are going to install your version of Windows XP Home edition
-At first you will be installing WXP and then you can install Vista on the second partition, but you must use the Microsoft facilities drive. Recovery media can not be used.

That's all I can say from my experience with such things.

    Hello

Have you changed something on your laptop? For example, the partitions of size or do you remove any content of the recovery of HARD drive partition?

What is the G: drive in your case? Is it a partition or a CD/DVD player?

I m not very well why this error pops up, but some users here in the forum reported about errors during recovery disc creation. In most cases the use of other and different DVD helped to address this problem.
    I m using the TDK DVD-R and I'm happy.

  • Satellite A500 - problems with the creation of recovery disks

    Hello
I bought a Satellite A500 yesterday and now I'm trying to create the recovery discs before anything else.
However, towards the end of the 1st DVD I get an error message saying "Faile dto open the next file. e:\Boot\BCD (0201123-F1-00000000 error code)"and then when I click 'OK', the DVD is ejected giving a message"unable to create recovery 1' media. Physical examination, I noticed that the DVD is written almost entirely.

Any advise on this? In addition, in the interface, it shows a USB option and says to insert a USB media with more than 7 GB of free. That I can use it to create the recovery disk? If Yes, when I reinstall windows 7, this allows as a bootable drive?

Greately appreciate any help on this matter. If it is defective, I want to return as soon as POSSIBLE.

    Thank you
    Mercier.

As far as I know, that you can not use external device for recovery, it is therefore very important create recovery DVDs.

Try to create the recovery disk using only DVD-R media. Use high quality media like TDK or Verbatim.
Last month, I've created on the Satellite A500-157 recovery discs and everything went well.

  • Creation of recovery disks ends with the error message

I tried to create a recovery disc but got this message "cannot read the following D:\06491XP file. Water hydraulics Error Code: 020150-20-00000000 "at half way through the first DVD disck.

That means and what I can do to create a recovery disk?

    Thanks for your help

    Hello

You have linked to burn using TDK or Verbatim DVD-R? You see, some media only good acceptt cd/DVD burn :)

  • Satellite L450D-failure of the creation of recovery disks

I just bought the laptop above and tried to create discs of recovery twice.
Both times, there is no on the first DVD with the following error message:
    Differences between the following files
    D:\HDDRecovery\ODDFiles\sources\boot.wim source path
    E:\sources\boot.wim path target
    0216F-3 c-00000000 error code

I found a similar position on a Google search that gives to think that there is nothing I can do about it except contact Tohiba and get the recovery media unless the disc is damaged.
I'm certainly not ready to pay for these discs, because it is not my fault that I can't create them.

Is there something I can do and what advice can be given on the replacement for the recovery discs?

In my opinion, there are two options for you:
-contact your local agent where you bought your laptop and ask for replacement or
-Contact nearest Toshiba authorized maintainer and explain the situation.

I imagine that they can order one for you and it will be covered by the warranty.
Do not wait for a long time and do it as soon as possible.

    One last thing:
Can you please test if HARD OS installation disk works properly? Start as described in the follow-up paper - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD9102IR0000R01.htm

  • Satellite L300D-12I: error of calibration of power while the creation of recovery disks

I have a laptop Satellite L300D-12I & get a "power calibration error" when trying to create Toshiba recovery disks. Does anyone have any ideas how to get over this?

Power calibration error especially if the laser lens cannot calibrate (moving) in the right position and can not handle the inserted disc.

In most cases, the STRANGE must be replaced. :(

I put t know why it happened on your L300 but I hope that your warranty is valid
So contact the ASP as soon as possible and ask for the check!

  • Solution of workaround for the creation of recovery disks!

I have a Compaq CQ50-110US (5-6 years) running Windows Vista service pack 2 (32-bit with 3 G of ram) and I never did the partitioned hard drive recovery discs and as I would like to add a larger HARD drive I'm making them. I tried to do and as soon as I begin the process immediately, he goes to "Cancel" mode, even though I did not choose Cancel. I found the advice of HP to turn off UAC (user account control is what this means, in my view) and have chosen to disable this feature, but it seems does not make the difference because he always goes to 'Cancel' and it does not change if I have a blank media disc in or on a usb flash drive. My only question is, are at - it alternative workaround to get it do not jump right to the screen to cancel it or have a free program that will do it more easily. If I have omitted any information that could help forgive me being a novice to this is my kryptonite and I'm better at some hardware upgrades. These are the questions of software that suck when it goes the instructions say fine, thank you.

Sorry I have never seen this behavior and have not the slightest idea. You can order your Support page recovery disks. Scroll the list of the drivers/software to see the command option.
