creation of recovery HP dv6t 7200 quad edition for windows media 8

I just bought HP Dv6t 7200 quad edition laptop computer with OS windows 8. I would like to create a recovery media in a drive or a USB stick. So, I went to Recovery manager to create a recovery media. A window pops up saying "you are allowed to create only one recovery media"... I checked the box and click on continue...

Another window pops up asking me to insert the media... then I plugged in my usb flash drive. After that he never went to the next screen. It dealt with something or some process was running... It has never detected the flash player.

Can I create recovery media in a DHM.

Please help me with the process of creating a recovery in EHD or flash drive media.

Thank you

Murali.

I have pavilion dv6t-6100 Quad Edition laptop with one of the 2nd gen i7 processors. What type of upgrades to the graphics card and CPU can I do?

    Hello:

Here is the link to the service manual for your laptop.  Intel processors supported are listed in Chapter 1, page 2.

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c02842252.PDF

Graph cannot be upgraded, except if the card mother set is replaced.  Support Intel motherboards with various graphics solutions are in Chapter 3, beginning on page 27.  You must also pay special attention to the fact that the jury is for a processor dual core or quad.

I would also add that the financial costs and monitoring of personal work to exchange the motherboard and the processor upgrade, would exceed the cost of buying another laptop with the processor and graphics card solution you're looking for, following the sale or your trade.

    ----------

Possibly related problem: a month ago, I had my first BSoD since the purchase of this laptop and back up the error driver conflict. (The HP wireless driver is in conflict with the Intel wireless driver AND wireless driver windows.) It was an easy fix and I've not had a BSoD since. I speak only because it happened shortly before the fan problems started.

During the week following the driver problem, the fan is sometimes very hard. Soon, it was impossible to ignore. Finally, one morning I turned on my laptop and it gave me an error screen explaining that the fan was not working properly. (Unfortunately, I forgot to write the error message before off.) I turned it on again because I really need to do some work, and the fan was quiet until he end of the initialization of Windows, then the noise started again. I quickly turned it off to avoid overheating.

I tried to clean my fan with the typical technique of blowing-air. That did not stop the noise. I found this manual from this page on the HP website. After the manual I disassembled my laptop and clean any dust that I could find. The fan was a little dust inside, so I go back the laptop and he did it again. Unfortunately, the noise continued.

So I decided to order a new fan. Using the same manual, I found the the product number of the fan page 90 (which is in fact the page 98 of the PDF). Because my computer has an Intel processor and the graphics card Radeon has 1 GB of memory separate, I ordered the fan with the part number 641477-001 from this Amazon page, that meets these specifications.

Replacement fan arrived two days ago and I took my laptop apart this afternoon to put it in.

That IS THE PROBLEM: When I took out the old fan, I noticed a sticker on it that says:

    REPLACE WITH HP SPARE

    650797 001

    CX116O

But 650797-001 is the fan for laptops with a graphics card of Radion with 2 GB memory discreet! No 1 GB! My laptop seems to be entered with the wrong early fan!

I immediately called HP customer support. After almost 2 hours on the phone and make up for a product manager, that's what he told me:

"Since your laptop was an order custom, fan 650797-001 has been used instead of the fan 641477-001 because it has a higher RPM." (Paraphrase).

When I asked why it was necessary, I was told this:

"You ordered need CPU fan faster to keep it cool." (Once again, to paraphrase the explanation).

I was quoted $193 so that it sets 1 to 2 business days ship the box for it and 3 to 5 business days to ship it back. I asked to order the fan 650797-001 and made myself instead, but he told me that HP does not allow customers to order fan parts and seemed surprised that I was able to order one at all.

I already without my laptop for 3 weeks and the cost of replacement fan $66. Even assuming that I get a refund for the fan, I'm not sure I can afford another week or more without my cell phone.

I am so here for a second opinion.

    ARE the MY QUESTIONS:

If my laptop order is supposed to have 1 GB of memory separate, why is he with this fan? (I felt like the explanation I got technical support is designed to force me to leave and pay).

I can argue it's lack of HP for the use of the wrong fan for this Radeon card and at least get a discount on repairs?

Is anyone aware of a place that I can control the fan 650797-001 and do it myself for less money? (Amazon does not appear to have one).

    ----------

I lose my patience and want to fix things. Let me know if I need to provide any additional information.

Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to answer!

    -Levi

    Hello LeviRK.

You can not order more much of HP by phone, only a statement select bit.  However, HP provides other services to allow you to buy almost any part of the laptop.  The best resource is HP part Surfer.

I took the freedom to search for the part you are looking for, 650797-001.  Class page for the party as is no longer available through HP and suggests the part number 665309-001.  The interview Guide & Service you already has all the other information you need.

    I hope this information helps.

Unfortunately, HP does not drivers for Windows 8.1 for your laptop.

  • XP Professional x 64 Edition for Windows 7 Professional 64-bit upgrade. The best way?

    Hi you all, experts,

I want to spend my edition of Windows XP Professional x 64 (legit) to Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. I don't think I need additional options in 'Ultimate', but I need, I am sure, XP mode that comes with "7 Professional".

Maybe I should mention at this point that I am a member of the program saved Reacondicionador, until you feel that I was fully authorized to "renovate" my own PC.

First of all a question about Windows 7 itself: -.

As I said, I need to be able to run certain programs that have been written for XP. The expression "run several Windows XP programs in Windows XP Mode (separate download) company" in "features" means that I have to pay extra for this option? If Yes, how and where to go?

Is there a reason why my 2D design program which works perfectly under XP Pro x 64 (WOW64) should not be running in the above "Windows XP Mode"?

Furthermore, I believe that I have several choices on how how to get 'XP' ' 7'.

    1) "OEM", the less expensive but, I understand, once installed on a clean hard disk only, that is all. End, end of story! What should I do if my motherboard fails and needs to be replaced? Can I get a replacement license or I have to buy an another OEM?

    2) 'Upgrade' which I believe will overwrite an existing operating system (matter if it's XP or Vista?) and install "Windows 7". Here are all my existing files maintained? If this is not the case, can I 'restore' to a 'Backup' created by XP?

    3) "Retail", the more expensive but, I understand that, can be transferred or installed on a PC refurbished, although it is only has a license valid on a PC at the same time. Is there a difference between "Retail" and "Upgrade"? Can I use one over the other? If so, why? Is there a difference?

    4) authentic software. Is it possible that I can know without having the product in my hands, or installed on my system, whether or not an article supposed to be "Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64 bit" is actually authentic. Is there a relevant question, can I ask which would identify a fake before I part with my money?

Thanks in advance for any help you are able to offer.

    Best regards

No, Windows Virtual PC with Windows XP Mode is free for users of Windows 7 Professional. To learn more:

    http://www.notebooks.com/2009/11/23/using-Windows-Virtual-PC-with-Windows-XP-mode/

Is there a reason why my 2D design program which works perfectly under XP Pro x 64 (WOW64) should not be running in the above "Windows XP Mode"?

Personally, I've used several graphic programs 2D and 3D even on Windows XP Mode, include The Print Shop, PhotoDraw 2000 v2 and they work very well to this topic. The article I linked to provide instructions how to publish your applications, you can use alongside Windows 7 applications.

No, you will need to purchase a new license if your Windows 7 OEM System Builder License fails. You could of course try install and reactivate the components on the new motherboard before buying a new license, because some people have been 'lucky' get it reactive but is is not a guarantee. If the motherboard is replaced based on a defect or warranty, you should be able to reactivate the replacement motherboard.

The OEM of Windows 7 versions are identical to the versions commercial full license with the following exception:

-OEM versions don't offer any free direct support from Microsoft technical support Microsoft

-OEM Licenses are tied to the computer first you install and activate it on

-OEM versions allow all hardware upgrades except for an upgrade to a different model motherboard

-OEM versions does not move directly from an older Windows operating system

    What is OEM software? :

    2) 'Upgrade' which I believe will overwrite an existing operating system (matter if it's XP or Vista?) and install "Windows 7". Here are all my existing files maintained? If this is not the case, can I 'restore' to a 'Backup' created by XP?

If you do not want to restore Windows XP someday, I suggest that you backup before migrating to Windows 7.

EaseUS TODO Backup free - CNET Download.com

You cannot upgrade Windows XP to Windows 7. Especially in the case of Windows XP Professional x 64, you need start a custom Setup by booting from the Windows 7 DVD.

Boot from the Windows 7 DVD
    Click Install now
    Accept the license agreement

When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)

Select the disk partition where you want to install Windows 7 click Next.

You will receive the following warning:

The partition you have selected may contain files from a previous Installation of Windows. If so, these files and folders will be moved to a folder named Windows.old. You will be able to access the information in Windows.old, but you will be able to use your previous version of Windows.

(At all costs, do NOT click on anything in Format, deletion or Partition name.) So even do a custom installation, your personal files are still kept. Click OK

The installation program will now begin installation. During installation, your computer will be restarted several times.

Once the installation is complete, you can complete the Out of Box experience as the choice of your laptop, create a username, password, your time zone. You can then proceed to download the latest updates for Windows and reinstall your applications and drivers.

You can then retrieve your personal files from the Windows.old folder and reinstall all of your applications and drivers.

Both are the same with one exception.

Full version - does not require a license of previous qualification.

Version Upgrae - requires a license of previous qualifying installed (Windows XP, Vista)

    4) authentic software. Is it possible that I can know without having the product in my hands, or installed on my system, whether or not an article supposed to be "Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64 bit" is actually authentic. • CREATIX card TV no longer works for Windows Media Center after you install Vista Edition Home Premium to Windows 7 Professional

I recently updated my computer Windows Vista Edition Medion Home Premium to Windows 7 Professional. While my computer was running Vista, I could use the tuner TV SAA7131 Creatix card in my computer to watch digital TV British, that is to say Freeview. Before my upgrade to Windows 7, I checked all my drivers would be compatible, and the Advisory program told me that they would be sufficient. However, when I tried to setup of the library to receive a TV signal, the implementation will not progress beyond the screen "Considering television signals" Percentage of completion bar gets to about 90% and then does not move, or entirely 100%, but the screen does not change, and if I try to return to the main menu screen, Windows Media Center crashes with the 'circle of rotation of loading"and does not change.

I reinstalled Cyberlink Home Cinema after realization of the Medion TV improve extra that comes with it, but that didn't seem to help. The same problem persists.

I have still the disk with the drivers on, but I'm not sure how to reinstall the drivers using the disk, because the record for drivers TV Tuner does she not an executable file, just a series of system files, application extensions and the DAT files.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You must find the CTX driver version in the code of your tv card provider (poster Device Manager it under hardware ID in the Details tab) in the list of suppliers PDF in the FAQ section of the site Creatix. Then, you can download the right CTX driver from the support section. Is there a Windows 7 driver for my SAA7131 card.

  • Corrupt Photodeluxe home edition for windows 4.0

Hi I have this software and you used regularly as a real estate agent, now, I went back to use it is corrupted or something and the only disks I can find are the Italian/Spanish version and version 2.0 for Mac. Is there somewhere I can down load it from? I don't need anything complicated or sophisticated just to sometimes get rid of a cat or a customer of the photo

    Thank you ymt509

    Hi ymc40,

PhotoDeluxe for Windows is quite old. I could be wrong, but I think that the last update for this was 2000. I would recommend Photoshop elements. Its a low-cost solution that has to take care of your photo editing needs basis. You can find information about it on the product page of Photoshop Elements.

    I hope this helps.

  • New dv6t-7000 Quad Edition BSOD while loading classpnp.sys

    Hi all:

New edition of 7000 dv6t Quad, 8 GB drive HARD 750 GB, 32 MB "SSD", nVidia graphics, Win 7 Home Premium 64 - bit, core i7-3610QM. Does not start - gets to the Windows startup screen, then the BSOD. Windows "repair" does not BSOD. None of the options available when you press F8 to start Windows are of no use - last known good config, etc. In SafeMode BSOD occurs while loading classpnp.sys. Searched in the BIOS without result - then back to 'default '. Nothing is plugged into any external port. All BIOS diagnostic tests - memory, HARD drive, etc. (I ran everything else) don't report any problems.

This laptop is old - about three days, initially worked well, then it started to happen.

I am ready for a re - install, but it seems that this issue has been around for awhile and it does not help.

    Any ideas?

Thanks to another thread in the forum, I was able to restore the BIOS and everything works fine (hold the key [Windows key] and [b] - keys with the system off, then press and hold power for 3 seconds turn it on).

Function of the BIOS is quite handy.

I am a customer of long date HP and we ordered that several custom laptops as well as we have in our office workstations.  I have 2 laptops, I am ready to replace, the two dv6t for about 3 years and touchscreen offered then.  I don't want a ultrabook.  I'm in the publishing house and a workaholic must plan the most everything.  I've been periodically check since October and still no touch screen option.  I really want to leave HP, but one of the portable won't last much longer is there an eta or that's going to be a possibility?  With Windows 8, it makes no sense, why it is not currently available.  Thank you very much for your help!

Please do not worry much about it. HP comes with several touch new innovative, capable, high, elegant setting designed and echonomic models. Please look out for all the products and you will certainly love them.

There are touch screen active portable computers for the launch of HP in the months 1-2.
