Creation of Windows 7 install media on a flash drive by using diskpart or "what he had during it's pocketisesses?

If you want a flash drive bootable, you must use a utility such as diskpart to do. Then by copying a DVD system will make him act as a bootable Windows installation media.

A. make a bootable flash drive by opening a "Run as Administrator" command prompt to run these commands:
DiskPart
Select the disc 2 ('list disk' to determine the number)
clean
create the primary partition
Select partition 1
assets
format fs = fat32
Assign
output

B. copy DVD to Flash drive
xcopy d:\*.*/s/e/f e:\

The correct way if you want to make a flashdrive bootable for installing Windows. First, you will need to use a utility such as diskpart to do. Him, and then copy an installation DVD or ISO. He'll act as a bootable for the Windows Setup installation disc.

1: insert a (8 GB) flash drive
2: invite (GUEST of DOS) command
3: DISKPART
4: LIST DISK
5: SELECT DISK (DRIVE NUMBER)
6: CLEAN
7: CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY
8: SELECT PARTITION 1
9: ACTIVE
10: FORMAT FS = NTFS
11: ASSIGN
12: OUTPUT
13: COPY ALL FILES FROM THE DVD TO FLASH DRIVE

    Hi Annaed,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I can understand your concerns to your system and will certainly guide you in the right direction to solve the problem.

Control bug BAD_SYSTEM_CONFIG_INFO occurs if the SYSTEM registry hive is damaged. However, this corruption is generally unlikely, because the bootloader, known as NT Loader (NTLDR) in versions of Windows prior to Vista, checks a hive for corruption when loading the hive.

This bug check can also occur if some values and critical registry keys are missing. You keys and values may be absent, if a user manually change the registry.

  • I use Windows XP and care April 2014 if I always use the it, what will happen after that Microsoft no longer supports it?

I use Windows XP and care April 2014 if I always use the it, what will happen after that Microsoft no longer supports it?  My computer will become unusable?  It works great and I would keep it if I can.  I use a Dell Inspiron 530 desktop.  Some people have told me that "nothing will happen" and others tell me that my computer will be more vulnerable.  I use ESET NOD 32 and Malwarebytes.  They tell me that they should still continue to work.  I am told that because my computer was purchased in September 2008, he cannot me upgraded to Windows 7.  I'm not a geek and would need assistance "passage" my files from one computer to the other as well.  And then what to do with my old top office.  I'm very worried and I had to face the fact that Microsoft is not going to deliver any security updates patches after April of 2014.

I can't wait to hear from someone on this problem and more just to go out and invest in Windows 8!  Thank you.

I can tell you one thing, all or almost of windows xp device drivers will disappear from the computer manufacturers support websites and will reappear on all these shady sites who claim to be download for free but comes with unwanted software. Download the latest device drivers and keep several copies of them and download them to your skydrive or dropbox account fo guard.

I doubt that will happen. I've seen Windows 2000 drivers still on websites mfg.

  • Windows Vista install the new WD hard drive empty - does not not :(

It was my original question: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Hardware/HP-Pavillion-a6645f-No-hard-drive-detected-BIOHD-2-err...

    And now...

I got my CD of HP recovery and ordered a new WD 500 GB HDD... same features as the seagate who pooped me and I can't get windows install on the new HD

No matter what I do, computer wants to open the Recovery Manager and according to the available procedure does not work.  It works me in circles asking for #1 drive, then the drive recovery supplement and back with no progress.

What I have to do is use this form: http://vistahomepremium.windowsreinstall.com/installnewhdd/installnewhdd.htm but only the Recovery manager opens when I boot from the CD.

    Anyone have any ideas?

If I followed your questions correctly... you had a BIOHD-2 error, ordered HP recovery discs, replaced the hard drive and tried to restore your system with no luck. Is that a correct assessment of the situation?

OK, you need to make a Windows Vista install screen... not who's going to go with your HP recovery CD/DVD. The disks do not contain the Windows installation routine, only the HP Recovery Manager. These discs contain more or less, an image of the HP installed OS and software, plus some drivers and applications. To the best of my knowledge, you should have three DVDs (1 of 3, 2 of 3 and 3/3) more an additional drive. You should boot from CD 1 of 3... Then, when asked to insert the 2/3... Then, when asked to insert 3/3. And finally if/when necessary additional drive.

  • How to save files in word program windows xp with a cd or flash drive

my computer is old and I fear he is crashing due to back up the files on windows xp. How do with cd or flash drive. where to get step by step instructions.

You have a CD burner? If so, what burning software is installed? I would need to know this in order to give you the procedure burning a disc.

Regarding the USB flash drive, put it in one of the USB ports on your computer. Wait for Windows recognizes the drive. XP can open a dialog box asking you what you want to do. Choose "Open...". " [some language I don't remember] "that opens the window for the USB flash drive. Or go to my computer and double-click the icon of the USB. Now, go to My Documents and double-click it in order to have this window open, too. Select the files, right click/drag/copy (does not move! ) in the flash player window. Rinse and repeat. ;-)

To select multiple contiguous files, highlight the first file in the series and then hold down the SHIFT key and select the last file in the series. All of your desired files will be highlighted. To select non-contiguous files, hold down the CTRL key while you select.

When you remove the USB flash drive, find the icon 'Remove hardware safely' in the notification area at the lower right of your screen. Left click on it and then click on the USB key to remove it safely. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • Windows does not recognize the USB flash drive

    Hello
My USB does not work when I plug. It seems that Windows recognizes the device because it is found in the Solution Explorer window, but if I want to create a folder or a file on the USB key I have the following message:
    "Cannot find this article.
It is no longer in < %3="" null :="" optext=""> . Check the location of the components and try again. " < br=""> also the files that are copied to the USB flash drive are not visible in Explorer and it looks like the drive is empty.

I want to emphasize that the same (Kingston) USB flash drive works perfectly under Windows XP operating system on another computer so it may not be a problem with the device. The same problem also appears when you use a different USB (another manufacturer).

    Thank you!

    Hey, 101 a.

, I just posted a fix I found for my USB flash/go to work again.  It was a very simple solution, too.

I unplugged all USB devices first, then tried my USB jump drive again.  IT WORKED! I've narrowed the problem to the new printer that I use.  It's a Mono Dell Laser MFP 1125.  Whenever it is plugged into a USB port, my USB doesn't work.  All other devices work, but not the USB is the printer is connected

I don't know what done to block the flash/USB key, but unplug printer allows the jump command to work again.  I will contact Dell on what did the printer driver to block the flash player.  Just an info on the fix I found.

  • Installing programs from a flash drive

    Hello community,

How can I do to install Adobe CS4 from a flash drive? I have the installation CD but it will not work on my laptop because the DVD player does not work. I thought to transfer the files from the CD to a flash drive, but I wonder how to install it through this method. It doesn't have a folder of installation, file, or something like that. Is it possible that I can do this?

    Thanks in advance.

There should be a Setup program on the CD.  Looking for something called AutoRun, install, install or just search. EXE or. MSI files.  But generally, it is easy to spot and has a very distinct icon, because users must know what to click when they put in the disc if and it is not auto-play.

  • Windows 7 changes the resolution of the screen at the start of what I had saved

I recently bought a new monitor, which is a 22 AOC. I installed the drivers so that the computer detects hardware. Then I go to the screen resolution set at 1920 x 1080, that says that Windows is recommended. I then choose to preserve settings, then press OK.

When I then restart the computer, the resolution changes right after the login screen to the old 1 of 1440 x 900 (which is the resolution of the screen of the old monitor).

I tried researching this problem, but nobody seems to have exactly the same problem as me. Help! :)

This problem also occurs when the monitor is turned off and turned back on again (I have my pc set to automatically turn off the monitor after 20 minutes).

I had this problem since upgrading to windows 7 and it is very frustrating when you have to re - align icons and others whenever you turn on the monitor / PC back on.
Fortunately, I found the solution after a few dedicated google searches, but this method requires you to modify your registry so please be very careful.
    Step #1:
Open your Start menu and in the search bar type in regedit and press to enter. UAC will pop up asking if you want to allow this program to make changes to the computer, simply press Yes.
    Step #2:
    In the left pane of regedit , you will see a list of registry keys;
-Click on the small white arrow next to expand this key HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG .
-Develop System > CurrentControlSet > control > VIDEO

    Step #3:
Now you should see one or more keys with random numbers and letters, for example my video key is {F92BFB9B-59E9-4B65-8AA3-D004C26BA193}.
If you develop these keys, you will see another key in each of these named 0000

Just click on these keys to 0000 to see their values, you are looking for one that has multiple values, for example Attach.RelativeX, Attach.RelativeY, etc.
The appropriate key 0000 should also have a child key (which is the registry of your monitor settings, yay!) and mine is named Mon12345678 but yours may be different.

    Step #4:
Now for the changes of the registry, 0000 and the keys Mon12345678 with the same parameters and values, I changed the two of them are identical. I'm not entirely sure of what a windows 7 uses, but it does not hurt to change both just to be sure.
    In order to change a registry key values;
-Right click on the value name and select Edit...
    - where it says Base of select the decimal option
-Enter the new numeric value, you want to enter in the data value: text field
    The parameters to change are;
    Attach.RelativeX - it's your screen X resolution, mine is set to 1360
Attach.RelativeY - it's your screen resolution is, mine is set to 768
DefaultSettings.XResolution -it's your screen resolution by default of X, mine is set to 1360
DefaultSettings.YResolution -it's your default screen resolution, mine is set to 768
    Step #5:
You're done! Click on file > output and your registry settings will be saved automatically.
    * Restart the system notes * A may be required before these settings take effect.

Hope this helps everyone who has faced this problem!
