cRIO-9012 regularly loses connection

I am trying to collect and log data using a cRIO-9012, an analog input module (NI 9209) and a CAN (NI 9853) using Labview RT module.  The cRIO is connected directly to my computer with an ethernet cable.  The problem is that as the main VI is executed, it starts to slow down and finally stops after a certain number of loops.  It tends to stop at the same place every time, leading me to believe that it is a memory problem.  I'm currently no data record (see below), but I'm not sure if the values are stored on board the cRIO without my knowledge.

Here's a screenshot of my troubleshooting VI.  It reads simply 5 analog and entries including VI falls down after about 896 loops (and it can be reproduced).

I don't know if that helps, but it's the VI which is called by the target FPGA above block.

You see the same behavior if you move the FPGA VI open to outside reference of your loop?

This occurs if the power adapter is plugged or only if the laptop running on battery?

My pro iPad connects to the WIFI, but loses connectivity to drops in use.  My other IOS devices (iPhone, macbook, etc.) do not have this problem.  Ideas to solve?

    Hello BrooklynWM!

I definitely want my iPad to stay connected to the Wi - Fi connection while I use it.  Thanks for posting that other iOS and OS X devices have no problem with the connectivity dropping.  We can try a few things.

Would first go through the steps listed in this article: If your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch connects to a Wi-Fi - Apple Support Network

Then if it does not help, you can check network settings with this: recommended for the WiFi routers and access - points Apple supported

After trying those, if you still see the drop connectivity, make sure the iPad Pro is updated with iOS 9.3.2 and check to see if the connection when you are in a certain place, time, or one event happening elsewhere in the House.

  • the magic mouse 2 loses connection

My magic mouse 2 is loaded (88%) and connected via bluetooth to my macbook pro (late 2011, OS X El Capitan 10.11.4).) Sometimes it loses connection and after a short time reconnects, what should I do for him have always connected, I mean without capricious disconnections?

    Hello heide1,

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple!

I understand that your Magic Mouse 2 going through temporary disconnects and stops responding intermittently. We know that situations of this kind can be frustrating, but we are here to help.

To begin troubleshooting, I suggest to read and work through the steps in the following article.

Your mouse or your keyboard intermittently not responding

Follow these steps if your mouse or your keyboard sometimes stops responding temporarily.

    Click or press a key

    • Click on the mouse or trackpad, or press a key on the keyboard to reconnect the device to the computer. It may take a while for the device to respond.

    Search for interference of signals

    • Wireless networks that operate on 2.4 GHz can cause interference. Move base stations of phone wireless, microwave ovens and other appliances of 2.4 GHz far your Mac if you suspect interference.
    • Keep devices wireless to 10 meters (30 feet) of your Mac.
    • Avoid putting metal objects between your wireless device and your Mac.

-My phone and other devices work also with the same router with no problems.

-The problematic MacBook works with other WiFi networks without any problem.

    What could be the problem?

Yes, clear arp fix it. Very familiar with it.

I had this problem for 2 years and more than 2 or 3 MacBooks, on El Capitan, Yosemite, and Mavericks.   I Googled it every 1-2 years months.  I captured packets and tested several access points... The best fix so far... is the arp compensation, and I have the automated at the moment:

    in a terminal:

While true; make sudo arp - da; sleep 2; fact

When the window is open, every 2 seconds, my arp table gets undervalued... and if I lose connectivity, the maximum cut is 1 to 2 seconds.

I noticed that in some places, I don't have the problem... its as if my laptop reacts badly to some other customers on the same WIFI network.  This question makes me crazy, and I can't imagine how was such years.  If I don't fix it manually, I find myself for 30-120 seconds every few minutes.

I have a cRIO 9066 put in place on a local subnet. I think that all the software and drivers are correct. I have deployed my program and it works great except... When I add some optical converters of fibre in the mixture. Here is my system:

    When I connect with ethernet cables all the way through, the ping time is<1ms ttl="" is="" 64.="" when="" i="" add="" the="" fiber="" converter,="" i="" can="" still="" ping="" the="" crio="" but="" ping="" time="" goes="" to="" ~250ms="" and="" ttl="" goes="" to="" 247.="" then="" max="" can't="" connect="" to="" the="" crio.="" is="" my="" connection="" speed="" too="" slow="" for="" max="" or="" the="" crio="" to="">

My converter fiber and ethernet sfp module switch are all 1000 MB/full duplex. It is run only on a 10 m fiber. I tried several fiber optic cables. I tried the sfp in several locations. My sfp and the switch are both Advantech so I guess that they are compatible with each other. At this point, I plan to buy just a card PCIe fiber for my PC, but I thought I should check first with the experts.

    Hello

There is a timeout OR max. The default value is 4000 Ms the reason why you are not able to detect the cRIO in NOR-MAX may be because the packages are damaged along the way. If you do not want to check this, you can always monitor the packets with WireShark with two different sets high. In this way, you can see if the packets are defined correctly or not.

    I hope this helps!

I put my cRIO 'DHCP' to 'local connection' and lost contact with her.

I changed the location setting labelled '2' to post a link-local only, so I think I hit save to '3 '.  So, I have had no contact with my cRIO network.

    I tried;

    Hit the reset button

    A MAX of opening closure

    Go to safe mode

Lift the switch to reset IP

    Power cycling the cRIO

Directly from the host to my target of cat 5 cable running

None of it worked, and I have no contact with my cRIO.

This is what MAX looks like now.  How can I fix?

It turns out that I had more of a problem.  Corrupt drivers, 255 in many in my subnet mask, overly complex LAN, use server control... you get the idea.  So I just deleted all software, disassembled everything and more from scratch.  Now back to the top and work.

  • Read the VISA of RS - 232 on cRIO-9012

    Hi all

I'm reading a GPS signal via port RS-232 on a cRIO-9012. I enclose the simplified code.

The same code works when I run it on my PC (after changing the port) and transmit the GPS signal via a USB port using a series converter / USB. However, when I plug it into the port RS-232 on the cRIO and run it on my cRIO, the buffer seems to be in the wrong format, i.e. some information is read, but it shows some weired characters. Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this?

    Thank you

It seemed that it was a hardware problem. The cRIO-9012 was probably too old/weak/slow to handle communications. Passed to 9022 and it works!

  • Can I use SMB connector in cRIO 9012 as an external trigger source to excite my system?

I use the clock real time of a cRIO 9012 for generate two pulses with a deadline given to fly a lock-in amplifier. Unfortunately, the jitter generates a beat that gets worse the ratio of SN. I would like to use an external source to trigger the system and reduce the jitter. Can I use SMB connector for this?

    Hello

What color is the status light? It is green or amber? According to the manual, a solid status light means the cRIO met a fatal error, which could mean a lot of different things. After you reformatted, you redeploy the code that started this issue? If so, I would try again and do fitness then deploy your exe to boot. In addition, you might want to try to restart the cRIO with the no app switch flipped on the position 'on' and see what happens.

Another good troubleshooting step is to get information via the serial port. Here are instructions for how to do this. If you attach this information to this topic, I can take a look.

    Thank you

  • Photosmart HP 7520: All wireless network devices will lose connectivity after printing

    Dear all,

I have a problem with my HP Photosmart 7520 printer where all wireless network devices will lose connectivity after a printer has been sent to the printer.

    * Summary
Wireless network unusable after sending one print to HP printer
No device ( computers nor smartphones ) can use the Internet nor access internal networks ( 192.168.0/24)

    * Details
Turn HP printer on. ( wireless direct is off - never turned on )
HP printer connects to working wireless network.
Other devices ( phone/computers ) already connected and working.
From any device, send a document to the printer.
    Printer prints document successfully.
Immediately after printer has printed all devices cannot access internet IP range ( including HP printer ) nor Internet nor router ( 198.168.0.1 ).

Number of brand and model of the router?

These settings are to set up your printer wireless (or wired):

    • Stay connected to your router
    • Trouble printer status 'offline '.
    • Wake mode 'sleep'
    • All wireless devices stay better connected

While the DHCP is convenient, devices like printers (wired and wireless) should always be assigned a (fixed) IP address manually to avoid conflicts on your wireless network and must be outside the range of the router DHCP.  After the adjustment of the static IP address the computer must be updated to show a Standard TCP/IP port with the IP address of printers under printer properties/Ports.

    1. Set a static in the printer IP address (click here) outside the range of the DHCP of the router (check your manual). It is for Linksys routers, but can be used for all routers. Check your DHCP range and change this first if necessary. More Help Wireless Printing is here and here and still more here.  Video here explains the problem and how to solve the problem. <--> So watch this!
    2. Or check in the printer "Auto Off/sleep/Energy Saving Mode" is disabled the System Mode Time Out is set to zero (0) Use the built-in webserver (EWS) by visiting the printer address IP address in the address bar of your browser, click on settings tab/Auto Off. Or use the printer, printer Home Page (EWS) Wizard. Also check your printer properties.
    3. If the printer supports and has IPv6 enabled, disable the IPv6 option in the printer.
    4. Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a socket wall and not to a UPS, power strip or a lightning arrestor. This will cause the printer to drop offline connection and disconnection (checked yes!).

Additional measures to take if you continue to have the problem (if they are posted)...

I experienced a problem with an application. I think I've isolated the problem in the "Timed loop question - Source Code.zip" attached source code. A detailed list of my results are in the attached document "Timed loop detailed question - Results.docx.

Overview - it seems to be closely related to the IO files and the use of "Timed loops" on the OR cRIO-9012

    1. If I activate the e/s in two loops, then two loops crash simultaneously

    2. If I activate only the e/s in a loop, then only this loop crashes

    3. If I activate the e/s in two loops and make a 'While' loop earrings, then it don't crash

    4. If it is wrote nothing in the file I/o, then it don't crash

    5. If the reference to the file is left open instead of opening and closing on each call, so it don't crash

    6. If I try to run it on "My Computer", then it don't crash

    7. If the IO is only activated in a loop and programmed to wait for one second between the file access, then it always crashes

In my real application, any given row is only writing (at least) once a minute, but I couldn't still my application to plant within a period of 24 hours by writing a single error of a single loop once per minute, with a low CPU use. It was the impulse to test the seventh point above.

It seems that the best solution was to open the reference to the file and let it open. I think it is a good practice in general and I'll do the update in the application. This should solve the problem, but it is very difficult to verify this due to the sporadic nature of the question. As such, I'd like to understand what was causing the problem so I can verify that it was fixed. So far, my attempts to create a single, coherent theory able to explain all aspects of this issue have failed.

I just wanted to know at all that there has been a request for corrective action (CAR #214156) has filed for this issue to be fixed in a future release. This seems to be a problem with the VxWorks operating system, we use in real time. We have additional cRIO chassis which have a Pharlap OS where it does not work. For now, you can search for this CAR ID notes to see if this problem has been resolved for publication in the future.

Currently, there are two solutions, we have identified for this problem:

    1. open the file before the loop and close it after. (recommended)
2 perform file i/o in a normal loop and transfer data to a queue.

  • Computing time on the CRIO-9012

    Hello!

I'm actually under an algorithm on RT using CRIO-9012 with 60 MB of memory and 118 MB approx.what disk space I did it in record time is I used flat sequences. I created three frames of it and placed the resorption in window of 1st and 3rd. My middle manager code. By subtracting the amount of time between the 1st and the last frame to get how much time is taken by my algo. When I only launches on the VI created on the HOST PC, it takes approximately 14ms and if I run it on CRIO RT be close (initially deployed and then run). VX Works is also running on CRIO RT. I assumed that this time should be less time on my computer. If I continually run the VI on RT, time moves at about 1.2 sec I need to know that if I want to know how to find out the exact time taken by my algo when it is deployed on RT? If the memory is improved, it will affect the performance?

RT operating system such as VxWorks is not a guarantee for performance of running faster, all depends on how fast the material is! This particular device cRIO has a 400 MHz processor and 64 MB of RAM. Compare that with your host pc.

What a RT OS gives hard limits on necessary. In other words, you can get a more predictable in your discussions parallel/process jitter, while, as in Windows, the process/thread scheduler is not deterministic.

If someone sold you this system based on the performance and processing speed is, I return it.

  • CAN 985 x and cRIO 9012

I have a cRIO-9012 controller and chassis 9101.  I can't perform the basic examples.  My question revolves around game upward.

Background: I have 8.6 with time real/fpga, NIRIO 3.0, NICAN2.6, as well as the 985 x software 1.3.2.  I loaded up the most recent 2008 of NIRIO3.0.0August on my RIO, however running example base reception/emission FPGAs cause time-out errors.  I added another module (9472) just to make sure I can turn some of the visible lights.  However as soon as my typing the CAN node loop this loop freezes all my lights are flashing away.

This morning I thought that to run the example, channel CAN Receive.  I've loaded and sent the channel config in RIO.  I try to deploy the host VI and receive the following:

Deployment RIO0 (the goal settings successfully deployed)
    Deployment ncConfigCANNet.vi
    Cannot download ncConfigCANNet.vi

LabVIEW: Unable to load the shared library nican. *: ncConfig:C on the target RT device.

Here's where I'm confused.  I thought that the VX works system does not support the CAN.  I see not everything CAN be supported under the NIRIO3.0.0August 2008 software, but this error of downloading indicates miss me a driver (or else...)  Someone had a similar problem, I'm missing the software on my controller?  Any suggestion is welcome.

    Thank you.

I have found a new 9853, we received last month.  I could put in the 4 Groove and using my reception and transmit programs successfully.  I could watch the heart CAN, in addition to performing a loop of CAN1 to CAN0 test.

The original 9853 headed on an RMA for NEITHER.  This module is apparently 1 year old.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 all-in-One connected as network printer loses connection

In December 2011, I bought a HP Officejet Pro 8600 all-in-One to replace an Officejet 6500 as my network printer home. The 6500 worked very well on my cable, but his screen did not, I tried some of the features offered by the 8600 and I got a good price on a new warehouse of BJ. I have the 8600 connected via ethernet (not wireless), with a static IP address. All my computers on the network are running Windows XP Pro SP3 and are up-to-date with Microsoft updates. However, from one day to the next my 8600 will lose connectivity scan (Scan of the computer shows it as being disabled on all my computers at the same time, and I can't reconnect), and if I do not have anything he'll (as in a few hours) also lose connectivity impression. The only way to restore connectivity is to uninstall the HP Officejet Pro 8600 device software basis of all computers, and then reinstall the printer. I had a phone conversation and two debates with HP Technical Support; They suggested that the problem is in the firewall on the computers (but if that were the case I don't think that the loss of connectivity would occur on all computers at the same time), the IP address setting (doesn't make sense) and the printer driver is not not the latest version. I tried all the suggestions, and none of them have solved the problem. The last counselor "has raised the issue to the next level", which proved to be a Manager with no technical expertise and his only suggestion was that I have to return the printer to the merchant. I think the problem is the firmware in the printer (which, according to the 'update' on the printer option, is the latest version). Any other suggestions or experience?

After a lot of research and find the settings that I did not know that Windows XP offered, I found that the following appear to have solved the problem I've known - at least the printer is now operational for more than 48 hours without losing printing or scan connection. Here are the steps I used:

    1. Start Control Panel  connections network and Internet

    2. Choose "network connections."

    3. Right click on "connect to the Local network.

    4. Choose "Properties".

    5. In the top window is the name of the Ethernet computer connection port, select "Configure" next to this window

    6. Select the tab labeled 'Power Management'

    7. Uncheck the box "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".

    8. Select the "Advanced" tab

    9. Select the entry "power saving Mode".

    10. If this entry is set to change 'On' to 'Off '.

    11. Select 'OK', and then close the windows that were opened
