Check what is the file size by following the steps mentioned below:
    1. right click on the folder and click Properties.
    2. check if the file size is 0, if it is 0, this means that the folder is empty.

Please help me! This file is very important for me

This would happen if the special file is encrypted. You need the encryption certificate that you want to copy, and then open it.

If this file is extremely important to you, have you considered everything backs up? Are you aware of the rule that a file that is not saved is a lost file? It's only a matter of time. Unfortunately many people don't know the need for a process of backup appropriate until after a major disaster.

Hello. I have a Mac Mini 2.5 GHz, 4 GB RAM, 500 GB HD; running Mac OS x 10.11.2; Safari 9.0.2; Sophos AntiVirus Home Edition 9.4.1; Chrome 49.0.2593.0 dev (64-bit).

Several months ago, I started to have problems of access to some web sites, namely OpinionWorld and your voice. I would get an email from them with a link, like http://dkr1.ssisurveys.com/projects/start?psid=s_LXqAJmxx3JVOk_yTSTvgBEHjCAUQLr>, and when I went to access I got error:

After some time I also started having problems with other websites such as Amnesty International. I would like to click on a link such as al http://www.amnesty.org.au/action/action/41035/?utm_source=FBPAGE&utm_medium=soci & utm_content = 20151220043000 & utm_campai... > and he'd make the same error 400 Bad request. Also, it didn't explain why I was able to access it on a Windows 10 using Chrome for Windows machine. Also, it was just the links OpinionWorld and your voice, not links to Amnesty International etc.

Sometimes, I would have similar problems with other sites. Sometimes I could open in Chrome but not Safari, or if I clicked on the link it won't work but if I pasted the link and press return it would work. He doesn't know what is the problem but "Sophos" is capable of anything beneficial and his presence will only complicate troubleshooting. Remove it. Back up your Mac before making changes to its file system.

Use the Remove Sophos Anti-virus program. It will be installed in the Applications folder on your Mac, unless you have moved or deleted. In this case, follow the instructions in uninstalling here: https://www.sophos.com/support/knowledgebase/122710.aspx. Ensure that its eradication is complete and irrevocable from your system. Do not reinstall, or something like that. Only then will you be able to solve the problems you are having.

I tried a backup disk or restart several months ago, but the drive will not read it!

How can I restore access to "My Documents" and other folders?

I use Windows XP with all updates of February/March 2013

    [Moved from comments]

    Hi Alan,

Thanks for posting your query in the Microsoft Community Forums.

According to the description of the problem, it seems that you have lost access to the files of data and images after doing a system restore.

I would appreciate it if you could answer the following questions to help you best:

    1. Why did you perform a system restore?

2 do you have questions about the computer?

    3. If so, please specify the question to better help you?

    4. What are the data and images file format?

System Restore will return all your files non-system as documents, email, music, etc., to a previous state. These files of types are completely affected by the restoration of the system.

Based on the current situation, I suggest you to Undo a restoration of the system after performing a system restore.

Check out the link and check if that helps.

If the problem persists, or you have any questions about the restoration of the system, do not hesitate to let us know. We will be happy to help you.

    Compress files

There are two ways to compress files in windows. Zip files and built-in file compression. It's built-in file compression. For more information on compression type zip in Start - Help and Support .

Photos, music and video are already compressed. They can get larger if Windows tries to compress it any further. Also usually a bad idea to compress system files.

If you have files of worksheet they can very well be compressed. If you have files, installation files, they can also be good candidates. Web pages are also good candidates.

In Windows Explorer, blue file names means Tablet (it is the file system compression not aka zip files compressed files). Green filename means Encrypted.

To disable file names colored, in Explorer - Tools menu (Alt + T)- display tab and then clear the check box for Show encrypted or compressed NTFS in color .

Windows compression, encryption and security to work for the most part by applying attributes to a folder and the files in the folder inherit the folder.

If you have all the files appropriate for compression, find them in solution, made Explorer right click - Properties - general -Advanced button tab - Compress contents to save disk space. Choose to apply to all files and folders when asked.

  • Since the last critical update, cannot access internet unless I have the restore of the system

After the last update critical (about a week), I have to restore the system to access my internet provider. Updates are automatic, so everyday that my updates install and every day I do a system restore.

I ran the resolution of problems and it did not work.  I hide the update, the computer restarts and the rest updates worked and I have no problem with access to the internet.  Thanks for your help.

  • Since an update to Adobe Flash Player (10.3?), I had many problems to access web sites and play 'videos' on them.

Since an update to Adobe Flash Player (10.3?), who apparently is not 64-bit capable, I had many problems to access the websites and "videos" by playing on their. There is also a special site that charge but the screen displays a full blank page. What can or should I do? The adobe site indicates that the new application does not support 64-bit, but it doesn't seem to be a solution for it or the option of returning to the previous flash drive that was no problem.

    Hello

The Internet Explorer shortcut in the Quick Launch toolbar, and in the x 64 Vista Start menu will run the 32-bit version of Internet Explorer by default. Why run the 32-bit version if IE on the 64-bit version of Vista?

There are actually two shortcuts for Internet Explorer in the "Programs" menu Why two and what is the difference?

This is the title of each and they run exe:

    Internet Explorer
    "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Internet.

    Internet Explorer (64-bit)
    "C:\Program may Explorer\iexplore.exe.

One runs IE in the "Program Files (x 86)" folder, this is the 32-bit version. The second is the 64-bit version.

  • Administrator to deny access to the file

I am running Windows Vista Home Basic with service pack 2.  As an administrator I am frequently refused access to certain folders, e.g., data application.  I thought that the administrator has access to all folders on the computer.  Is this something common to the basic family version?

No, it is new with Vista.  Even administrators do have access to some system, junction points files and folders even in their own profiles to prevent the problems of changes, deletions or additions which might cause problems (and even administrators don't know enough to work safely in these areas).  You can use permissions to work around these problems of access; However, I would just leave them alone because most of the time (except if it is advised by Microsoft Support) there is no reason to be in these places.  It is a big change in XP where access was essentially unlimited, but just adjust in Vista.  It is not only your version but in all versions.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!
