Cropping for a 4K TV?

With my 1080 p TV I crop the pictures at 1920 x 1080 so that they appear correctly on the TV. How should I culture pictures that will appear on a 4K TV? I am currently cropping photos that appear on a 1080 p TV and a 4 K TV. Is there a size that works for both of them?

Thank you.

4 k is simply double 1080 p. Up to 3840 x 2160.

If your pictures are not that great, then 1080 p still works on a 4K just TV very well.

  • Precise cropping for uniform models

Hello community of Photoshop, I apologize in advance if the articulation of this question is confusing. I want to assure all images sent to my clients have 1, 2, elongation of harvest. For example, when you import a file of C1 in PS the dimension of the image is H:6732 X W:8984 (px) (px). Sometimes I'll assemble 2 of these images and determine thereafter I would crop the image, but would like to keep the proportions of the above H & W px. I am currently using the crop 'W X H X résolution' tool, which accepts inches, not pixels, what are the dimensions of this tool: 29.947 X 22.44 resolution of 300 X. Is this the best way to get no degrading crop without interpolation, or is there a better way? Thank you for your help.

W X H X Res will accept pixels. Put "px" after the numbers. You cannot enter a resolution or type its name. That will not change the size of your image, other than the thumb, that's all relative.

  • EPS, I want to save a photo in 3 ways: 1 Original, 2 cropped for display on computer and 3. cropped to print at a ratio of 2:3.   What are the steps?

Can someone please tell me if I can crop my image to a certain ration 2:3 and save at different resolutions on the toolbar of harvest to post-secondary studies?  or I have to go to Image, resize and make in the dialog box?  Thank you!

On the crop tool options bar, you can enter the dimensions and the resolution as well.

Suggest that do you it on a duplicate image file so that you keep the original for later editing, if you decide to do in the future.

For printing, it is desirable to have the range 240-300px in resolution.

You can also use the Image > resize > Image installation size resample targeted resolution. Then use the Rectangle tool to outline the 3:2 ratio, then reframe via Image > Crop. Yet once, work on a duplicate.

  • The landmarks of crop for cutting of the centre to secure title?

I recently picked up the Premiere Pro 5.5 after the fiasco of Final Cut Pro X together, and a feature that I liked and used all the time in Final Cut Pro 7 missing in Final Cut Pro X has been for the cup of the centre in the title safe markers crop. I often make the HD which are broadcast on Center cut 4:3 TV, to do all the graphics for the Center cut to SD card and then leave protected space for the HD version.

I don't see what I see these brands in Premiere Pro 5.5. Is there a place for requests for features for Premiere Pro, if I can put in a request, because this is something that is really needed in our workflow.

Well, the PrPro Titler has the center align for both vertical & horizontal, but for guides, etc., it is free.

I use the tips in this ARTICLE to create alignment markers, according to my needs.

I have been filing feature requests for years and have also asked for alignment element since PS functions

    Good luck

PS - I also create custom guides/grids for PiP, where I need to match the position & scale for PiP images.

PPS - I guess you have looked at the title & Action Safe brands, and they just don't do it for what you need.

  • cropping for background image

    Hello

Given that I can't do my canvas have a color gradient in the FW CS3, I'm doing it with 2 layers. I have a long rectangle with a gray gradient in the layer 1. In layer 2, I have a small rounded rectangle of purple. I'm trying to cut in the same shape that the layer 2 layer 1 which is at the back of layer 2 except that the rounded edges to be squared so that when I put in my homepage the banner you won't be able to see the layer 1 because I associate with my bg homepage. So I guess I am trying to get the layer 1 is smaller, but each time I cultures, it loses its gradient.

    Thank you

Thanks Lorraine for all your help.

I think what I'm going to just do is make a div and make a banner of size as a bg image, it will be easier.

  • Sizing for printing without cropping

I think I'm losing my mind here.  Help, please.  I shoot on a (Raw + JPeg 5760 x 3840) canon 5dIII and have Photoshop Elements 10.  I shot a few pictures of the family group.  I framed leaving little margin, but the composition of love.  I didn't expect for the image to crop for some reason any.  My mother-in-law wants to get the pictures printed in a box store, 5 x 7 and 8 x 10.  For each of these sizes, the Photolab guard crop heads off the images.  Then, I realize that I need to send its files of appropriate sizes.  For the life of me I can't understand how to resize images, without having to crop.  Is it impossible.  When I choose Image, resize and uncheck resample, I can't enter 5 x 7 or 8 x 10.  I can't enter these sizes with Resample clicked on.  I read and tutorials watched, but I'm still confused.  Is it not possible to do so without having to crop a part of the image?  Here's a really embarrassing issue as well: when I see 5 x 7 I interpret that as high 5 x 7 of the scale is that correct?  Thank you for your time.

    Hello

The answer is simple - you can not.

The three sizes have different proportions (long side size / short side): -.

    5760 x 3840 = 1.5

    7 x 5 = 1.4

    10 x 8 = 1.25

You have two options, either have prints made with borders so that there is no cropping, or if you want prints borderless please reframe. If you try to adapt the complete image on paper, it will distort the image.

I very rarely to frame my photos because of the possible need to crop more closely later. The crop tool has presets for 5 x 7 and 10 x 8. You need to file two copies of each image if you want to deal with these two formats of printing and control the cropping.

Please come if you need assistance.

  • Cropping photos scanned with Officejet 4620

I wonder if this feature is available on the Officejet 4620, I bought my parents as a gift.  I have a Photosmart C4580 and when I scan a photo, the HP software automatically detects and adjusts the cropping for me.  On the 4620, I scanned a picture using the scanner glass and this automatic cropping does not; I had to manually drag down the 8.5x11 full culture square to fit photo 4 x 6.  Is there a feature of "car culture" on the Officejet 4620?

Sorry, it is not a feature of 'culture of self' for the 4620. The only thing you can do is drag the place of culture do you to adjust your image.

  • How to crop a picture and delete the unwanted part?

I don't have any shots 'face' of myself, but one having a few 'action plans', so I thought to scan them and change the background. I kept the photos in format JPEG in paint and Windows Live Photo Gallery.

I'm sure that in the past I could crop and remove 95%. What happened to programs... OR (gulp) me? I use Windows 7 Home Premium.

You seem to have got the open image in the painting , so here are some basic instructions for this program.

    1. Open the image in Paint.
    2. Click on the half top of the button Select of the Image group... The cursor changes to a cross when above the area of the image.
    3. Click and hold the mouse button on one of the corners (for example at the top left) to your growing area desired. Drag the mouse to the opposite corner of the area of crops (for example at the bottom right) and release the mouse button.
    4. Click on the button to crop to the Image group.
    5. If you are not satisfied with the harvest, press Ctrl + Z to Undo the action and start over.
This should be enough to get you what you want.
  • Question of culture and guide for multiple images.

I'm trying to create recurring landmarks for about 100 images all need to be cropped and balanced for web use.

At present, all the images are the same size, but need to be cropped to a specific size for the web. The output dimensions are 465px x 349px, but all the images are of another product. I am trying crop for a "balanced" feeling because the images are clicked well and for that I am trying to create a guide that is displayed on the screen that I reduce the image so I can have a point centered but also equal the top and the bottom of the space.

I tried to create an action to be executed before the harvest, but it is not all the help that I reduce the image and it is not "resize" himself once the image is cropped.

Any suggestions on what I am doing wrong? I use Photoshop 6 on MacOS.

    Thank you in advance.

In this case, it should be fairly easy to create an action that you can batch.

You start with a picture of trim.  The white space around the products should be prepared as to the limits of products,

Then, you use a picture Fit to resize the products to fit a space smaller than 465x349px something like 460x344px.

Use size canvas 465x349px then leave the anchor at the center of all the products must be centered in the Web of white 465x349px and sane size approx.

  • How do you export a video square for facebook?

    Hello

I want to download my videos on facebook in a square format. I use cc pro first and I put my settings of sequence exactly to the specifications in this guide: to create high quality videos with Adobe Premiere Pro CC Instagram / / Tutorial | Who is Matt? Matt Johnson Productions.

Worked well while editing, but when you want export I always said to do in PAL, as I am in the United Kingdom, rather than NTSC and in the guide above, told me to export NTSC and as a quicktime file. This will still work when I upload them to Facebook?

I also put the videos I create in an exhibition and view them on a TV via a Memory Stick. If I export NTSC, am I sure that it won't work on a TV, then I have to export twice, one in PAL for TV and the other as NTSC for facebook?

Also when I uses the settings in the guide to export it and change it to PAL my video is messed up and layers in the video are not where I placed so I can't export it.

I realize my explanation might be a bit confusing, I'm not good at explaining things so please ask as many questions as you want!

    Thank you

    L

Export at the same rate you shot with, do not change this.

You can change in a sequence that corresponds to your feet and crops for export, or edit in a sequence that corresponds to your desired export crop when editing.

The latter has some advantages, allowing you to better control the cropping.  Some transitions will also look better.

Just be sure to keep the size of your final export divisible by 8.  It is a cardinal rule of online videos.

  • Purchase second stand-alone upgrade license LR6 not available in stores, is there a way for the user for a long time (since 1.0 more CC) to obtain a second license for both laptop and desktop?

I've owned Lightroom since it was released when I paid $316,94 for her.  I bought the 2.0 for $103.95 update, then update 3.0 for $69.30 (on another account accidentally) and then joined the CC full suite.  Our Canadian dollar began to decline in value and I didn't feel that the subscription has been good value more, especially since I'm more a clean user of Photoshop and CS5.  I found that Lightroom is useful once again and so I bought last year updated for $88,48 USD and the product has glitches but I used it.

Recently, I had to install on my Samsung laptop and found, I had to deactivate the license on my desk to use, and I find this pain connection and disconnection, since I do not have the foresight to know when to sign physically out of my office before I use my laptop.  Going to the Adobe store earlier, it does not allow me to buy another license upgrade for my second computer while the 'old' version of Lightroom was fine with me on my laptop and desktop.  I do not have a heavy user for a few years, but I start to have some interest in my work and need the laptop and the computer.  Adobe authorized a second upgrade license, am I expected to buy a full version new or I just go to Corel whose entire suite is less than the Lightroom upgrade?

Again, I am mostly a Photoshop user and really need Lightroom to catalogue and cropping for final prints only selections, and it seems a little extreme that I cannot use my license on one computer at any time, why not the second?  I think Adobe is assuming we all have easy access to the internet and a wi - fi connection, and that Canadians want to pay twice as much for Adobe products as everyone else.  I installed two trials of Corel since they're cheaper reunited to form a new owner even a Lightroom update still less a total of the purchase, and so far they have integration with Photoshop and the feature settings of catalog, just I don't like not having to learn how to use when I already own another product.

  • Advice from workflow to adjust/cropping/export of photos that have already been worked on?

I need to go through about 20 000 photos, choose and flag somewhere around 100-150 photos, make adjustments, crop at 16 x 9 for display on a big TV and export as .jpg. A lot of pictures that I will select will already have been adjusted/cropped for other formats, sizes and printing.

Before you begin this process, that I expect an idea, or possible workflow tips that I'm not aware that can make your job easier now and in the future if I need to re - export some of these pictures to print instead of TV. I've never used before collections and do not understand, this is something that could be useful for what I do? What happens if something can do to make your job easier?

    Any advice will be appreciated.

    Thank you.

You can also create virtual copies in Lightroom, so the previous changes/cultures remain in place, and you make new changes on the virtual copy. In fact, I recommend this approach.

To do this, you can select a photo, go to the develop module, and then click Reset to the original edited and uneducated photo, press Ctrl + apostrophe (apostrophe-Cmd on a Mac) to make the virtual copy, go back to the original edition and select the last State published in the history of return the photo to its editing State / cropped.

The collections have really no application with respect to the issue of the re-re-editing/cropping photos. Collections are useful for keeping some pictures together to achieve a purpose.

  • How do I can't not free form crop tool?

I generally do not maintain an aspect ratio fixed for truncation tool in Lightroom (2014).  But I needed to change it to a fixed ratio temporarily to crop for some print sizes.  But now, the "Custom" look no longer works.  Whenever I try to crop whatever it is, it comes down to 'Original' and I can't change it.  After selecting custom, as soon as I start to drag an edge or a corner to crop, the appearance is "original".

    How can I fix it?
