  There is no need to install the Cs2 prieur for the CS4 installation. You can directly install the CS4.

  I am owner of Creative Suite Design Premium CS3 (and all earlier versions).

  I downloaded DW CS4 Beta back during the Beta cycle, he took for a whirlwind and decided against the upgrade.

  In fact, it is a known problem and is your own fault (no offense). When you have uninstalled the beta version, you don't turn it off. Since CS4 introduced "smart update and felxible clearance" policy, suite installs not rewire serial number and leave the old man in place. After that, even the retail versions will use soap operas to Beta, if that's what they are. If it has expired, they will ask for a new. Support call is in this case really the only option, I'm afraid.

• Vista Service Pack 1 and 2 installation issues

  I have to constantly new updates available - which is service pack 2. It takes about 2 seconds to download and says that it is installed-, but it's not. I've tried everything. My system says that I have service pack 1, but if I try to download service pack 2 on the windows site it says I need service pack 1. If I try to download service pack 1, it says that I have already.

  And every day I 'new updates' which is service pack 2.

  Can I uninstall service pack 1 and install again - and if so, how can I do?

  Since CS4 was released before the function of guardian of OSX, maybe the default is interfering with the installation process.

  Try the parameter in the screenshot below and if it works, change the value by default after you're done.

  

• EPM 11.1.2.3 Startall Installation issue

  We have faced a strange problem after installation and configure 11.1.2.3 version Hyperion. The question is, we have installed the EPM system in environment distributed as Foundation (all the web) in a server, EN to the server B, HFM in Server C. After the configuration, everything works fine, but when we start system EPM (StartAll) b, C server it starts all services in the B & C servers, but if we manually start the services it is departure and able to access everything. -That someone faced this kind of situation. Please, share your ideas.

  I ran into this issue today.  Any new installation of EMP 11.1.2.4 on new servers (Windows Server 2012).  EPM start (and stop EPM) scripts ran fine yesterday.  Impossible to start/stop today.

  SOLUTION:

  Change the advanced properties of the shortcuts system EPM Start/Stop "Run as Administrator".

  SUSPECTED cause:

  The IT Department has run an update of Windows on computers at night.  I don't know what patches have been charged, but something changed behavior of the machine.  This has happened to both of my servers (Foundation & Essbase) at the same time.  Both had applied for operating system updates.  Both have the same problem the next morning.  Note that the services are running under the same domain account that I used to run start/stop scripts.

  Follow this procedure if it fails again below:

  Solution 1:

  1 use the cleanup tool to remove all associated with your machine CS 4: use of the Adobe Creative Cloud cleaning tool to solve installation problems

  2 remove the "Caps" folder to the location:

  WIN 64 Bit: program files x86\Common Files\Adobe\caps\caps.db

  WIN 32 bit: Program Files Files\Adobe\caps\caps.db

  3. after that, install the downloaded file.

  Solution 2:

  1. create new admin account.

  2 - install from this account.

  3 - Once installed, you are free to delete the account and all the files in the new account.

  If it still gives you an error, I recommend you to analyze the installation log file to know the root cause of the error, see:

  Hello, I need to use an older version of InDesign to work with one of my clients. I have the physical box of CS4, but I can't use this installer because it is on DVD and I just got a new iMac without a hard drive. So I downloaded of Abobe, InDesign CS4 Setup, but when I try to validate my code it does not work. My physical box of CS4 is a Design Premium UPGRADE version, but the InDesign Installer is not validate my old number CS3 either. I tried phone support, no use: no support for these former products supplied (shame). Since I regularly bought all my CS versions from a dealer here in Italy it's extremely embarrassing, and I lose a precious time for this instead of working on a project. Can anyone here help with this please? Thank you.

  The product you are trying to install/activate must be the same product for which the serial number has been assigned originally.  If the serial number is a suite then you must install using the suite.  Each product can be installed outside the suite.

  Not exactly, this error occurs if the file has a problem or if you need to compress the file is unable to access it from the downloaded Setup file. Where the error mentions - Error 1612.  The installation source for this product is not availablee.

  Make sure that the size of the installation file is correct as stated on the Web site.

  Optional: If you wish you can re - download file, before you can perform the optional steps below:

  (1) delete the Temp folder. [skip these files that cannot be deleted]

  (2) temporarily disable the firewall and anti-virus.

  (3) If you use Wireless / Wifi Internet connection, try to download using the wired Ethernet connection in more stable connection.

  (4) make sure that this will be the only download current running, multiple downloads simultaneously affect connectivity if the speed decreases due to sharing.

  Note: Avoid download interruption and resumption.

  IAM EMP 11.1.2.2 on RHEL6 64-bit server installation

  When Iam by running the installer, I get the following error

  EPMINS-01072: you have read only access to the inventory of the oracle

  Note: I installed oracle 11 GR 2 (11.2.0.3) on the same server, but its in another directory

  I have explored the issue and found that on the oraInst.loc file permissions should be assigned after even the assignment of permissions still the problem exists.

  Could someone please guide me if they were facing the same error.

  Thanks for the reply.

  I tried adding the user installation of Hyperion to oracle group, but it did not work.

  I have him granted the permissions in the oracle root directory and and all of its subfolders, then the problem has been resolved. (app/u00) was the directory where I've provided the permissions and also for all the sub directories as well.

  There were several oraInst.loc files in the directory and giving individual permissions for this file did not resolve the issue.

• Photoshop CS4 reinstall issues

  Hi people, I recently bought a pre intel G5 power pc, which came fully loaded with all the installation discs copied in various places. (ilife, the suite CS4 etc..) I have problems with my photoshop CS4 recognizing my Epson V300. After some research on the internet I said that if I uninsall my ps, then reinstall it and find the "goodies" folder I could copy the two resources and all would be well... so of course I uninstalled from the Adobe Creative Suite 4 Design Premium folder that I located in an Adobe Installers folder in my folder utilities. Now, if I try to re install, this isn't on the list of facilities. any help out there? Thank you very much, I don't have the original disks I bought this charge (supposed to be with all the installation discs)
