  I try to install CS4 Master Collection on my other computer (Mac Air) and may not have to work. Download seems to be going OK, but the part of the installation is where I have a hang up.  I've got my series #s Adobe Creative Suite Premium (2007 - ouch!) and CS4 Master Collection. Any suggestions on how to download this or other options?

  Long story short... I finally got to work, thanks Jeff.  I had downloaded the CS4 Master Collection originally, but it has not been installed properly... I finally all the old stuff uninstalled and then was able to install the Master Collection.

  I am trying to transfer my CS4 Master Collection on my new computer, but I don't have the installer and I had to download from product download Adobe Creative Suite 4

  I download the two files 1 and 2 for Windows and save it in a folder on my desktop. Installers are downloaded I try to launch the 1 file and I get this error

  

  I tried to extract the files using WinZip and 7Zip, but it creates a folder with 10 empty files.

  I have the same problem when you try to run the file 2.

  I use a Windows 7.

  I also have my serial number in hand, but I don't have my installer for CS4 Master Collection.

  I don't see the problem, and it's file extensions are turned off in Windows 7 when you don't see the 1.2 MB file is a .exe and other file is a GB 5.4 .7z, which opens the .exe to create the installer.

  If extensions are disabled, the two files have the same name and you don't know what they are.

  

  Enable file Extensions

  Display the file Extension in Windows Vista and Windows 7

  • A dialog box with the title "Folder Options" appears. ...
  • Click to uncheck the "Hide extensions for known file types".

  I'm trying to reinstall CS4 Master collection edition update that, as part of the installation process, asking you a CS2 product key, I have my Ye Olde CS2 software. However, when I try with the key of CS2 - who has worked in the past when activating - now is denied.

  Is this due to the deactivation of the activation servers CS2 a few years back?

  How can I reinstall my CS4 software without the key CS2 working please?

  Try to use the serial number CS2 without activation provided by Adobe at the download page.

• CS4 Master Collection updated installation media

  I'll set up a deployment package for CS4 Master Collection remotely using the Toolkit for development to use with SCCM.

  I was initially with 4 installation support provided by following the steps provided in the documentation. However, they are now clearly obsolete and require updating. If I download the installation media in the http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs4-product-downloads.html Web page if they have installed updates or client systems have will work always updates?

  I found the tool to update remotely, but it says it's for CS5 and above. Is there a similar tool for CS4?

  Mikey_it know that CS4 products download installers are for retail licenses.  If you deploy software, then it is likely that you have a volume license.  In this case, you want to download the https://licensing.adobe.com/volume license installation files.

  Tried to install CS4 Master Collection on a new PC (windows 8) using the CD I received an error that the Dababase Installer is corrupt. Found information to remove products Adobe and the CAB files. Delete files on the computer and Adobe programs. Still no luck. Any other ideas?

  OK, it worked. Someone suggested dismantling drives all connected. In fact, no luck. But while all the disks were taken out and closed all applications I uninstalled Acrobat Pro using the application in the folder Acrobat Pro. Then I went back to the installer and have already told him only to install Acrobat Pro. Once done everything first, I opened Acrobat Pro. He asked to install some extras and I said no a few times. It opened and worked on a test pdf. With her still open I tried to open Acrobat Distiller. He did not ask a serial number, but I wanted to just install an extra. I said no again and it finished opening. Wanted to be my default PDF application but an extract which is better so I said, person not the last time. He has worked to create a perfect pdf of an Illustrator EPS. Hope this works for you also.

  You must use your mc cs4 serial number, quickly find your serial number

  and you do not need to install cs4 to install a cs5 upgrade.  You can start with your cs5 installation and you will be asked your serial number cs4, after entering your serial number cs5 upgrade.

  I have a license of CS4 master collection student and use Acrobat Pro daily all day in my search for the University, but I can't afford to buy a new license student right now.

  I installed the CS4 master collection again in the computer even after a clean installed (windows 7-32 bit - 4GB_RAM)

  The master collection works Ok in general, but Acrobat Pro v9.0 crashes constantly.

  I guess this could be resolved by updating to a newer version (v9.8?) but the Master collection does not allow me to make updates.

  Furthermore, if there is no way to update v9.0, can I buy a license of Acrobat Pro XI student and install to work with CS4 (mainly Bridge, Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator) programs?

  now I have another problem that is probably out of the scope of this forum:

  I purchased the CS4 Master Collection in 2009, I then installed on my workstation. A few months later, I bought a laptop and then installed the software on that as well. After awhile, I was forced to reformat my workstation that had the first innstallation in this regard, I can, of course, re-innstalled Collectionon Master it. When I now try to open any Adobe application on the laptop that I am stopped by a message saying I´have used the maximum amount of records (2) for this software. Well, I have NOT used more two records so it is sure wrong. Other stationary machine can be stored in a cause other place I'm moving abroad, so now I do can´t. What should do? This registration error Adobe is driving me crazy! I paid big buck for the Master Collection and beacause of a technical error, I can´t use it. Adobe doesn't have a number to call and support is as we know ZERO.

• CS2 Video Collection can co-exist with CS4 Master Collection?

  I have CS2 Video Collection, as well as Macromedia Dreamweaver MX 2004, Flash 8 Pro and the extensions Manager (these 3 are not part of the CS2).

  Also, I have the CS4 Master Collection but had held off using it until I built a capable PC. I would like to install both so I can learn how to use the CS4, but must keep the CS2 (and Macromedia applications) because I absolutely need to use these for my business. Plan is to get comfortable with CS4 and then discontinue use and uninstall CS2 and Macromedia applications altogether.

  Video collection CS2 has AE 6.5, Premiere Pro 1.5.1 Audition 1.5, Encore DVD 1.5, ImageReady CS2, Photoshop CS2, bridge and help center

  Then, there are 2 applications Macromedia (before Adobe them redeemed), and is of course Adobe extensions Manager

  CS4 Master Collection has of course ALL these (and more)

  Windows XP Pro SP3, 4 GB ram, 1 TB of HD space, Intel Core 2 Quad CPU, Nvidea GeForce GTX480

  1 CS4 should have no problem opening the files of CS2. The other way around you would need to ask in the Flash / PP. forums
