CSA-geolocation?

I have a pdf file titled 'Cisco Security Agent with Intrusion Protection for Remote Corporate Users' in which she declares that one of the characteristics of the CSA is

"Location-aware protection allows The Cisco Security Agent normal network use, for example, sharing files between computers while in office, but prevents these risky activities when the computer is in a remote location."

However, I find no reference to this feature elsewhere. Is this possible with CSA currently? If so, how it is configured?

Interesting. I didn't know something about policy aware of the location such as an external element. As mentioned earlier, policy aware of the location are planned for version 4.5. Calendar that is still planned for the end of summer this year (guess some time in the period August/September). I suggest you talk with your local to see Cisco account team to get a firmer date. There are a number of other new features in version 4.5 that will make this one of the largest CSA releases to date. I hope this helps.

  • Geolocation API works with sandboxed iframes or provide an error

The navigator.geolocation.watchPosition function call does not work with sandboxed iframes where allow-same-origin is not specified (so the iframe counts as a unique and anonymous origin). I assumed that in so doing the iframe in sandbox inherits is not permission to use the geolocation API to the site that contains is a smart decision. Personally, I wish I had a way to create sandboxed iframes that can also use the geolocation API, but I don't understand if that is not implemented. However, a sandbox or an iframe also does not receive an authorization error when using the geolocation API that is completely wrong and makes it really difficult to debug.

With css changes, notice how I can see six discussions I participate instead of one. Notice, how the sidebar has been replaced by a horizontal navigation bar and I always get discussions more listed on the web page in stock.  I got rid of the icon display block without value. • Geolocation of navigation no longer works

For some reason my browser (Firefox 27.0.1) seems not support location-based navigation. I don't have a use for it for some time so I did not really notice that it did not work so far. In the past, I've seen the pop-up notification bar (although as far as I know, it's while I was still running Ubuntu).

It does not display the notification bar that will ask for your location when a page requests, nor to a specific page through Page Info changes anything. It also does not matter if I run in SafeMode (all extensions/add-ons custom disabled) or if I create a new Firefox profile. The question remains.

I'm testing it through the http://html5demos.com/geo site that shows continuously "control...". ». The only thing I can change is change geo.enabled false, what allows to block the feature all together.

  • Change the preference of geolocation on the product of 'add to home screen' applications to the browser?

Now, access geolocation is refused on any web application generated from 'Add to home screen' browser bookmarks. Web applications like Google Map has worked well and I used to be able to get my current position, but after a guest preferred geolocation came from nowhere and I clicked 'decline', now geolocation access denied for web applications full screen on the home screen. If I run the same page on the browser, it is still fine.

I would like to know if there is a way to reset this preference options. Thank you.

I did, but turns out that I accidentally turned off geolocation application under App permissions ' settings' which actually turn it off for all these 'add to home screen' web apps.

Thanks for the suggestions anyway. Also, I just discovered this site m.scout.me, which offers voice turn-by-turn navigation guided free html5. That's why I wanted to fix this so I could use this web app in full screen.

  • Geolocation has stopped working in Firefox 24 after update (Win7 64). Downgraded to FF 23.0.1 solved the problem. Even with the other installation of FF to another PC.

Visit this page: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/examples/map-geolocation or any other website using geolocation to track my location shows a blank map and no prompt "share location: allow, block, not now."

This has happened since upgrading to FF 24 (Office Win7 64). Decommissioning of FF 23.0.1, solves the problem: FF before 24 supports geolocation without problem. Tried in my desktop and laptop with separate FF, using different plugins installations.

    Thank you in advance.

[NOTE: now using Firefox 23.0.1, the problem does occur only after upgrading to Firefox 24]

Uninstalling Firefox completely from my laptop and install it again, solved the problem.

I have not yet tried with my office.

The laptop uses whereas the ethernet office wifi. The problem exists in the installation of the laptop FF 24 too, so I don't think it was the root of the problem, at least in my case.

  • Is the last protégé of Firefox geolocation search machines?

There is a link I found on the Forum which was a bit like "subject: location" or something like that blackened being located geographically on Firefox. I lost it in my notes. Anyone know it? I now have the latest version of Firefox. The latest version automatically protected against geolocation devices come from the outside?

"Location-Aware Browsing" is only useful if you connect via a wireless access point.

Otherwise, a reverse DNS look up from your IP address is used and is generally not very accurate and this is probably what you're feeling.

Firefox will always ask for permission before using the geolocation.

Please help, I want to disable navigation to the current location, thank you

What is - this on changing preference geo.enabled to false, which is not supposed to?

topic: config is an internal address that gives you access to the Advanced preferences / hidden in Firefox. Double-click will toggle a Boolean preference to his "other value. Now, which only affect "location awareness" which is determined by geolocation, not when your location is determined by your IP address.
