CSA with the Client VPN and remote access
Hello world!
I have the folowing isue: I have to tune in to the CSA for a clinet it connects remote with VPN Client only. He should not be able to connect to any other network or lan or dial-up.
No idea what the policy should change or tune?

You can create an access network rule that depends on a State of the system. The State of the system can be defined to have a game of skill, which belongs to the range of VPN and the network access rule would declare that the client computer cannot act as a server on UDP/TCP ports when the State of the system is ensured.
So, if the laptop is not connected to the VPN, it would not be able to act as a server for connections to all and will be locked out. You will need to create an exception for the IP address of the VPN server to your corporate offices and allow the CSA client opening these ports.

Cisco VPN Client doesn't have any version that is compatible with Vista 64 bit OS. The only customer that Cisco has released that supports the 64 bit OS's AnyConnect, but it is only supported on the CISCO ASA Appliance

We have a cisco ASA 5505 and try to get the next job:

When I try to access the url of the client, I get a syn sent with netstat
When I try trace ASA package, I see the following:

Connection with the client VPN for RV110W problem
Hi guys: I just installed a RV110W router to my small business and I try to connect via VPN from home client. I was unable to do so, no matter what I try. Relevant information:
1. I can connect to the router via remote very well management, so I know that the router is accessible from the Net.
2. internal address of the router: 10.81.208.1
3. active PPTP. PPTP server IP address: 10.0.0.1
4 IP addresses for PPTP clients: 10.0.0.10 - 14
5. two VPN clients added - one with PPTP, with the QuickVPN Protocol Protocol. Both are enabled (and Yes, I triple checked passwords)
6 encryption MPPE and Netbios active.
7 IPSec, PPTP and L2TP all active gateways.
8 VPN client: 1.4.1.2
9. computer: laptop running Windows 7 family (64-bit), with the firewall Windows is activated.
10 home network: 192.168.2.196

You should be able to reach the GUI by typing https://192.168.1.1(assuming that you have not changed the default IP address) normally once you replace http (port 80) with https (port 443) the internal router web server automatically will redirect you to the https page if you type http. With regards to the VPN client: Up until I changed the port, the same error message kept coming up, i.e. "Unable to establish connection" (or something like that), with a list of possible reasons why it couldn't connect. This is definitely progress, since I never got this far before.
You are a quarter inch offline. If you look at the log.txt in C:\Program Cisco Small Business\QuickVPN Client, in my view, you will see "Failed to ping router remote VPN! This means that your PC is blocking the ping to the router response. Usually, if you look at this point the status of Client VPN in the router (first of all need to remote management) you will see that your user status is "connected." If the router thinks that the connection is established, but the PC does not work. You might want to try another PC at this stage to verify that it is indeed a problem with your PC. This problem is usually caused by the 3rd party software antivirus/firewall blocking the ping response. Microsoft Security Essentials can do this as well, so if you turn it off. If you do not have another PC to test from, call Cisco Small Business Support and ask a technician, try to connect to the lab. You can find the number to call here
On an impulse, I tried setting up a Windows VPN connection, i.e. created a new VPN connection in Network and Sharing Center, using a PPTP client ID that I had created. That connection actually worked, except for one problem: I can't see the remote network. If I could solve that problem, I'll just tell the other clients to use a Windows connection rather than QuickVPN.
Good thought. If you do not see the remote devices, make sure that they do not block VPN connections. (Windows or third-party firewall, antivirus, antispyware) With a connection, PPTP or QuickVPN, you should be able to go to run, type the IP address of the device that you want to connect to (i.e. \\192.168.1.101 ) and see the list of shared folders. After the PPTP connection is established, try to ping the address LAN IP of the router. If it is successful, try to ping a LAN device such as a network printer or a PC. Again, PCs may block ping requests if they have a firewall running watch so for this.

Site to Site VPN and remote access on PIX 6.3 (3)

I have a vpn site-to site to remote access configured on the pix device. Everything works like a charm until I decide to perform authentication of the local client for remote vpn clients using the same card encryption from site to site. Thus, the tunnel from site to site is broken because that is trying to authenticate the local user.
Is it possible to use the authentication of the remote local user for vpn clients on PIX without breaking other tunnels that use the same cryptomap?
If the answer is to use separate crypro card so how can I assign the other encryption to use outside of the interface card, if only a single encryption card can be assigned to any given interface?
When you configure the isakmp key, use the command
ISAKMP KeyString keys by the peer-address [mask netmask] [No.-xauth] [No.-config-mode]
No.-xauth will tell the isakmp won't the isakmp xauth for L2L and non-config-mode does not distribute the ip address of the peer L2L.

I have 2 Cisco Pix (Pix1, Pix2) 515E (8.0.4). Between these devices exist VPN L2L, which are configured on the external interfaces. On Pix2 I configured remote access VPN on the external interface, too.
Is it possible to achieve LAN behind Pix1, by using remote access VPN on Pix2 then VPN L2L?
I don't want to set up remote access on Pix1.

It is simply because I have configured tunnel RA as complete tunnel instead of split, nat (outside) 1 at the RA 140.40.30.0 pool have internet access through your firewall ASA_SITE_B and translate with global ID 1 who is your external interface of the firewall SA_SITE_B. This has nothing to do with what you are trying to accomplish, but I posted it because it was part of the very common scenario. There are some example PIX 6.3 cases where you will need split tunnel so that RA users have internet access not passing not through the encrypted tunnel code 6.0 does not feature of intra-interface support but 7.x above is of the code. Other examples are that some people configure split RA RA user tunnel will have access to their local resources in their homes as the printers network etc...
It is therefore, I need to translate 172.27.1.0/24 RA pool?
No there is no address translation in place in this scenario to work and you don't need to translate something too long, there is no of networks that overlap in one of the SITES u do not need to translate, this scenario is completely free sheep as you access lists free of nat in two firewalls for networks involved in communication in tunnels ASA_SITE_B.
Because I want to see IP addresses from PIX_SITE_A to 172.27.1.0/24, not 140.40.30.0/24. Is it possible to do it this way?
Im not clear on this issue, but if I think what it means, it's possible but you need to have political NATing but I think this will make complicated setup, I would say to make this as simple as possible.

I had a problem in Routing and remote access on windows 2003 server. This server is already configured as a file server, domain server, and application server. Also configured as a router (thanks to access routing & remote) to connect the three different networks with each other. If this server has three NICs installed and each separate NIC network cards represent.
three different networks are - 192.42.160.0/24, 192.42.161.0/24, 192.42.162.0/24
Three cards of the NETWORK adapter installed on the server as with the IP - next
NIC - 1 = 192.42.160.220, Sub - 255.255.255.0, gateway - No.
NIC - 2 = 192.42.161.220, Sub - 255.255.255.0, gateway - 192.161.220.112 (this ip address for internet access then 4 g router IP)
-3 = 192.42.162.220, NETWORK cards, Sub - 255.255.255.0, gateway - No.
Now the question is I can get Internet & (also scathing in router ip 192.42.161.112) one network i.e. - 192.42.161.0/24, BUT when I try to access the internet from another two network (192.42.160.0/24 & 192.42.162.0/24) I can not access and in addition can not ping to internet router ip - 192.42.161.112...
So, how do I access the internet to another two network also?
I was already the configuration of static routing for all three network but I wasn't always successful. I don't really know what exactly static routing this should be done in access routing & remote area so that all three network can reach to the internet?

I could follow the VPN Wizard included in the PDM and able to connect with the VPN Clients for the PIX. But I'm looking for more information about how the routing is done.
For example, my remote is 67.71.252.xxx and my inside is 192.168.1.xxx. But if I connect via VPN to PIX Client, all data is transferred through my VPN to PIX and then trying to get out to the Internet.
I'll settle for data goes 192.168.1.xxx for transit through the VPN. This configuration made via the PIX or is it the responsibility of the Client machine to set up rules of the road?

I think the key word you are looking for is "split tunneling". This can be validated on the PIX using the vpngroup split access_list tunnel GroupName command.
"Split tunneling allows a remote VPN client or encrypted simultaneous Easy VPN remote access device to the corporate network and Internet access. Using the vpngroup split-tunnel command, specify the access list name with which to associate the split tunneling of traffic. "

I've read about Cisco AnyConnect 3.0 issues that it supports IPSec VPN for remote access:
I downloaded and installed the Client AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client 3.0.0629, but I'm not able to get the IPSec VPN works. Also, it has no option to use the previous of Cisco IPSec VPN client PCF files.
Can someone point me in the right direction to get IPSec VPN AnyConnect 3.0 work?

Takes AnyConnect support IPSEC from version 3.0, but only in combination with IKEv2.
There is no option to use a CPF file with it and the config should be pushed through a profile Anyconnect.

You should also change the ASA config so that it accepts negotiations IKE v2:

Client VPN and WinXP compatibility issue
I have the Cisco VPN client installed on my WinXP SP2 for VPN access occasionally to our or networks to do. Suddenly I lost the ability to ping or against opening a TCP/UDP on my PC in LAN connection last week. All communications initiated FROM my PC worked fine. I did a lot of experiments and found that the issue is a Cisco VPN Windows service. As soon as the service, everything is OK. Some updates of Windows came last week and I thing that some of them is not interoperable with the Cisco VPN client. The client is 4.8.01.0300.
Does anyone have the same experience or a solution without stopping the service manual?
Have you tried to disable the Stateful Firewall VPN Client in the menu Options too?
