CTRL + Alt + Del doesn't work no-Qosmio G20

My G20 has never had any problems before and everything works fine, but I can't do "Ctrl + Alt + Delete" window a plus. It simply doesn't get it.
I can't fint anything that described this problem in the manual eighter. Sometimes he runs verry slow for a few minutes, but I can't check which takes all the CPU power.
Need help please.

Thank you
Truls

Hi Alison,.

I guess you are trying to access the Task Manager to see what processes are running. Try right click on the taskbar at the bottom of the screen system, the task manager must be one of the options in the pop-up window.

    Hello

Your question I know that some of these methods is not available now, however, all
Convenience store is included just in case where win you some access as you try to solve the problem.

You can access Mode safe? Repeatedly press F8 as you start? If yes you can try Control Panel - device
Manager - graphics card - Double click on - driver tab - click on UPDATE driver - then right click
on devices and UNINSTALL - REBOOT.

Another method to try to get to the desktop (try in normal Windows Mode without failure)
CTRL + ALT + DELETE and on the tab process EXPLORER.exe and COMPLETE the PROCESS on this subject - then
on the Applications tab - lower right - new task - type in EXPLORER.exe. Safe mode is reached
by tapping F8 as you start several times.

  • Tecra A8 - Ctrl Alt Delete doesn't work

Tecra A8 Swedish version, around the age of 18 months. Windows XP SP2 OEM and SUSE 10. Has worked perfectly so far.
When I turn it on, I get to the Windows login screen where I'm supposed to press Ctrl Alt Del to enter the password. Problem is that nothing happens when I try this key combination.

  • Satellite C650-17Z - keys FN and Ctrl-Alt-Del does not work

I recently bought a Satellite C650-17Z and the function key and the Ctrl-Alt-Del key combination ceased to operate. Is there a solution to this all - I got older laptops from Toshiba is a driver issue, but I can't find the drivers for specific keyboard on the Toshiba site.

    Could someone enlighten me, please?

    Hello

Regards the FN keys will find it many other topics in the forum.
Did you find them? Is there a solution for you?

In any case, you must reinstall the package of added value and utility to Support Flash Cards because both controls the FN keys. You can download all the tools on the official website of Toshiba:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

But for the Al-Ctrl-Del combination, there is no special driver but maybe it can be solved with these tools...

  • CTRL Alt Del does not work Windows 2015 10 rMBP

    Hi all

I have a MacBook Pro for Windows 10 15 "Bootcamped retina.

CTRL Alt Del does not, any more than the function keys (brightness, mute, etc.).

I tried to manually reinstall the keyboard driver. It installs ok but does not solve the problem.

On Reddit, a user suggested that another user with the same problem should do a Bootcamp driver repair.

However, when I go in the Bootcamp Assistant I get only the possibility to restore the volume.

My best guess is that the Bootcamp Driver repair fix it if I could access.

Does not mention that this is the model of 2015.

    Hello

You are able to access the menu start pressing F8 as soon as the initial POST ends and before Windows starts to load? If so, try the last known good configuration. Otherwise, follow the steps here to load the recovery environment: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927525 and then run rstrui.exe to load the system restore. I assume you are using windows Vista or 7:

to fix this all you need is your computer installation disc

    1 boot on Cd

    2. Select the repair option

    3. choose the Startup Repair tool.

-This will fix the BCD store, located in system drive or 100 MB of reserve system.

  • Can not unlock screen - CTRL ALT DEL is unresponsive

    Hello

Whenever the screen locks automatically - after a period of inactivity - the user is prompted to press CTRL ALT DEL to unlock the screen. However, these same keys 3 is completely insensitive (nothing happens). This system has not frozen, as the isl user able to move the cursor on the screen.

Trying to hook up an external keyboard, no difference.

When Windows starts, the user is prompted to press CTRL ALT DEL to unlock the screen before entering their password - it works.
Once Windows has connected, the user can press CTRL ALT DEL at any time to bring up the Windows security box - it works.
If the user blocks their computer manually, they can again press CTRL ALT DEL to unlock it, enter their credentials and continue to work - it works.

However, when the screen is locked automatically after pressing CTRL ALT DEL inactivity does nothing.

Any ideas how I can fix this?

    Thanks in advance guys.

    Hello

Are you sure that the CD drive is dead?
I have goggled a bit on the net and found some practical information that there may be some HDD malfunction.
Some guys advised to use the command CHKDSK C: /R to solve this problem.

But if it's a cd player error, it should be possible to disable the drive in Device Manager.

  • Error NTLDR is missing - press ctrl alt del to restart

    Hello

I am extremely embarrassed to admit the following and ridiculously angry at myself for doing something completely stupid as I did, but's done it now... sigh...

I have NTLDR is missing - press ctrl alt del to restart error of nightmare.

This is how it happened. I need (ed) to reformat my hard drive, but first I was going to save everything. I save every so often, that now, I'm not near as often as I should! (last to the top was sigh 21/05/07). Well, not to think, instead of backup, I put the recovery cd in the drive and the screen came up saying: "loading ramdisk" then I got to the next screen basically asking if I wanted to restore out of the box or not. I chose the first step of the wizard who said out of the box. Then I clicked NEXT and realized that I had not backed up my files! So I cancelled out of the restore cd Wizard.

When I rebooted the computer, I got the error above nightmare.

I did research for many, many hours on how to repair or at least be able to start windows. I did the following:

1 creates a disk with ntldr, ntdetect.com, and boot.ini boot disk on it to restore, I all but I don't know if the dates say anything on those downloaded from another laptop

It did not work I still came upward with the same error or some other errors one pointing to hal\something. I don't know if it's my boot.ini that causes the problem or what. Oh, by the way, I went into the BIOS and made sure the computer started up to FDD first when you try the floppy option.

    [boot loader]
    timeout = 30
    default = multi (0) disk (0)

    Hello

It s a delicate and stupid situation.
The simplest solution would be the formatting of HARD drive and new reinstallation of the operating system.

But it seems you want to save all files available on the HARD disk.
If all goes well it s not too late

Hmmm. I think you have only one chance! You must remove the drive HARD internal of the laptop and try to connect it to the computer second external USB controller!
This part is not expensive and can be ordered from each book.
You should be able to get access to the HARD drive removed from the laptop...

After this procedure, the HARD drive must be formatted as NTFS, and any partition must be deleted!
Then you should try to start from the windows installation procedure or the restore CD.

By the way; I study a little bit in the Microsoft database and found these two documents:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/318728
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/314057

Maybe some advice described in these documents may be useful.

    Good luck

If your mouse works, then click on ease of access in the lower left corner of the login screen and select Type without the keyboard (on-screen keyboard). This will bring up the OSK and you can use the mouse to press the keys.
