{Ctrl + Shift + C} active Firebug shortcut / disables Firefox development tools instead of Firebug inspect element

How can I disable shortcut of Firefox key for {Ctrl + Shift + C} which allows shooting that Firebug is a habitual action of item selection? This started recently as Firefox itself upgrade v25.0.

You can disable the built-in Inspector by setting devtools.inspector.enabled false on the subject: config page (search devtools.*.enabled for more information).

    Hello!

I know this is an old post, but I found the solution to your problem.
I had the same problem but with adblock plus (extension of masking element).

It uses the same combination of keys ctrl, shift + k and when was rush to the web developer of this combination has opened...

To DISABLE this shortcut, you must OPEN the console of the web developer and click on the gear which is located in the left side.
Then, UNCHECK the box that says Console and press the X on the far right close the console.

Disable your Add on and turn it on again and you'll be fine.
    (or restart Firefox)

In my case it worked well and instead of "null" in the key of the element AdBlockPlus combination hide now, he says the corresponding key and no longer opens the "web developer console.

    I hope it helps

  • How to disable or change the General the keyboard shortcut "CTRL + Shift" that switches between multiple keyboard entries?

I use the Switzerland of Windows 7 version in English on a German keyboard (QWERTZ).  The general shortcut to switch between QWERTY and QWERTZ keyboard's CTRL + SHIFT. When you use Excel, I use this combination all the time with arrows to navigate large worksheets.  If I start a movement, only by pressing CTRL + SHIFT, but do not press the arrow, I find keyboard layout changes.  Is it possible to change the General shortcut or for otherwise, delete or disable this feature?

    Hi Thalwil,

What is the number and model of your computer?

You cannot use the shortcuts by default windows to other applications unless the application has been designed accordingly.

  • [LAVA Cross Post] CTRL + SHIFT + Alpha shortcuts do not work in LabVIEW

    Cross-post from the LAVA: http://lavag.org/topic/15619-ctrlshift-shortcuts-sometimes-not-working-in-labview/

Bug Synopsis: CTRL + SHIFT + Alpha shortcuts do not work in LabVIEW. In particular, CTRL + SHIFT + Z, CTRL + SHIFT + E and CTRL + SHIFT + S

    Test installation: 32-bit LV2012 with the patch of f1 running on Win7 64-bit inside a Parallels VM in OS X 10.8.1 8

To sum up the tests, I tried:

    • Several different combinations LabVIEW, guest OS and host OS all fail, including:
      • LV2012f1 32 and 64-bit and 32-bit LV2009
      • Win7 32 and 64-bit and Windows XP x 64
      • Parallels and Parallels 7 8
      • OS X 10.7 and 10.8
    • Capturing the keyboard to the virtual machine
    • Turn each keyboard setting possible on Parallels, guest and host
    • Reinstall the keyboard drivers
    • Connect a checked keyboard that works on a native Windows machine
    • LabVIEW.ini deleting and letting it regenerate
    • Remapping the shortcuts, for example, CTRL + SHIFT + E to CTRL + E - in this case, 'Show project' works, so this may indicate that it is a problem registering the shortened press, do not invoke the action itself.
    • Sending via the keystrokes on-screen keyboards of guest and host
    • Sending the sequence of keys via SendInput by user32.dll WinAPI
    • Test every imaginable combo of SHIFT, ALT/OPTION, FN, COMMAND/CMD, CONTROL
    • Reinstall the virtual machines from scratch and relocation of LV
    • Here's a kicker: CTRL + SHIFT + Alpha shortcuts work very well on other windows programs (I tried 4 different programs, including Chrome, Notepad ++, Paint.NET), but it does NOT work for VIPM with CTRL + SHIFT + C. This means that only two programs where there are CTRL + MAJ + Alpha bugs are both related to LabVIEW.
    • Here's a better: it is only CTRL + SHIFT + Alpha shortcuts with the prob - CTRL + SHIFT + 3 properly active / deactivates grid alignment and the "tools > Options > Menu shortcuts" will record any shortcut CTRL + MAJ + Non-alpha; He was not only meets the shortcuts CTRL + SHIFT + Alpha.

New idea of troubleshooting is highly appreciated; Please feel free to jump in here or on the LAVA.

    X. says:

Still well and alive in Parallels 9 and LabVIEW 2013 SP1. Of course I could upgrade the latest versions to see if things have become more.

    Any news on that?

@mellroth has found the solution :-)

  • Shortcut Ctrl + Shift + arrow key doesn't seem to work

I only started using Windows 7 a few days ago (new computer came pre-installed), and I seem not to be able to select text by using the shortcut keys Ctrl + Shift + key management (to select text). Because it is a little the keystone of what I do for a living (writing and editing text), I'm naturally upset.

I don't know if it's because for one reason or another the shortcut no longer exists in Windows 7 (but I expected more hits from google and General hoohah if this is the case), or maybe because I mucked with the locale of Windows when he started everything first. After all, Ctrl + Shift is here as a possible shortcut to change the settings (which suggests a potential conflict). I had trouble original, namely how to replace the default Windows come with locales and eventually remove and reconfigure the settings several times until I got what I wanted. Maybe I saw something up along the way without realizing it?

Right now I use the keyboard layout United States (native English), UK regional settings (date time, etc.), but have a German version of Windows, if it has been initially implemented differently. I made sure that Ctrl + Shift is NOT selected as a shortcut to change the language settings - basically he has that one language, set up and all the shortcuts are disabled in the window.

I had also several popups triggered inadvertently accessibility and have no idea how I responded to them. I disabled everything that I could find in this regard to little too (as again the Ctrl and shift keys can behave differently).

I have two keyboards, and both have the same problem; I tested this on a XP computer, and the shortcut works very well-only is not the keyboard.

I found someone else asking the same question elsewhere on the net, but it is impossible to find an answer...

    So:
The shortcut still exists (I guess for this)
No idea how to get it back?

Solved the problem - was not Windows, it's the stupid software that came with my screen using the same shortcuts. Disabled the software, everything works again.

  • Shortcuts Windows 7 remove - Ctrl + Shift + R open the Notes App

    Hello

I would use the following shortcuts Eclipse development two and is not limited to Windows 7 Apps.
    CTRL + SHIFT + R - Notes App
CTRL + SHIFT + T - App screen background change
    Thanks for the info.
Edit: I found the solution. Just kill this Lenova app "touchzone.exe" from the Task Manager and your shortcuts should work. I took it as startup applications using ccleaner.

  • CTRL + SHIFT + T doesn't work anymore, I tried it on Windows and Ubuntu. The other shortcuts work fine.

CTRL + SHIFT + T doesn't work anymore, I tried it on Windows and Ubuntu. If I go to history > recently closed tabs and click on something, it works, it's just the keyboard shortcut that broke. The other tabs keys work fine.

Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problems.

See basic troubleshooting: make a new profile:

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "tools > Modules > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

If this new profile works then you can transfer files from the old profile to the new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)

  • CTRL + SHIFT + V glue is no longer

I'm used to using Ctrl + Shift + V to paste the text in the shape. I use it a lot when copying on the web and paste it into an email.

I installed Adblock Plus. This Accel + SHIFT + V to extensions.adblockplus.sidebar_key assigned. Every time I tried to stick, the bottom of my Firefox window would be absorbed by an adblock more area showing me elements blockable on this page.

So I found this in Firefox about: config and changed Accel + SHIFT + O. But I still could not stick - when I put the cursor in a text field in Firefox and press Ctrl + Shift + V nothing happened. It doesn't have to all stick. CTRL + V paste again. So I tried to start Firefox in safe mode: same problem. Then I tried to disable adblock more: same problem. Then I tried to delete adblock plus: same problem. Then I tried to create a new profile with firefox.exe - p: same problem.

How can I get firefox to paste without formatting by using Ctrl + Shift + V new? Is there a topic: config setting I need to change to set the shortcut to Accel + SHIFT + V? What is the name of it? Is there a way to completely remove the adblock more expansion (as I always see there appearing on names preferably: config)?

If the choice is between adblock plus and the ability to paste without shape, I chose the option to paste without formatting.

    Thanks for your help!

I have no ABP and when I try to paste using ctrl + shift + v, in a zone of normal text (like the one I'm typing right now), nothing happens. But it works in Gmail.

  • CTRL-SHIFT-click to open the link in a new tab (v10)

I came back to Firefox recently after trying to use Chrome for a while. I welcome my return, except that in the update of v9 to v10, I found one of my favorite keyboard shortcuts no longer work as he had.

In v9 and precedent, Ctrl-Shift-click opens a link in a new tab and switched to it immediately. V10, Ctrl-Shift-click still opens the link in a new tab, but does not pass, even with Options: tabs: when I open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately enabled.

When you use the mouse to open a link in a new tab, it switches on it immediately as expected.

I thought I was going to have to live with it (or not), but then to find some documentation noting that Ctrl-click now offers the functionality I was used to.

Great! However, backward compatibility with old features could save me some temporary disappointment and some additional research.

BTW, I noted in another post several of the reasons why I returned to Firefox from Chrome.

Two key combinations seem to work in Firefox 8, 9. and 10 for me.

Change when I open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately from disabled to enabled reverse functions {Ctrl + click} and {Ctrl + Shift + click}.

  • CTRL + Shift + number key combination does not work

I can use Ctrl + Shift + [A - Z] very well, but Ctrl + Shift + [0-9] (main keyboard, not the numeric keypad) does nothing. I checked for access keys but don't see active at the level of Windows.

Clown fish was the culprit. It must be turned off completely. Just by disabling shortcut keys don't seem to work.

    Hi experts jdev,.

    use jdev 11.1.1.5.0 - adfbc-oracledb10g mozilla firefox version 9.0.1

    My problem is:

am running my application in my system. I have unforunat; There closed the current tab.

    My active tab holds what?

    You can ask.

running project url is the tab current
    http://127.0.0.1:7101/RoadmapJApp-GeneralLedgerUI-context-root/faces/RJAppIndex?_adf.ctrl-state=1a7fxm29gf_87
so I press ctrl + shift + t. to reopen closed tab.

keep the old State (my url of the project).
    http://127.0.0.1:7101/RoadmapJApp-GeneralLedgerUI-context-root/faces/RJAppIndex?_adf.CTRL-State=1a7fxm29gf_87
    my need is such.

If I closed unforunately my project running average tab,

    amounts in an alert.

you don't want to not lost this session Yes or not.

If I give Yes means your session is destoyed. message should you are prompted.

    and a more.

If I try to open the closed tab by with ctrl + shift + t.

It should not be opened in the browser.

The answer to the first question, is that you can't do that. The problem is that you cannot control the behavior of the browser when you use the tab close (x) or close (x) browser. The browser closes just the tab or window without giving you anything to act on. You can play with the warning of uncommitted data, but it won't work in all circumstances.

The 2nd issue cannot be dealt with is that you do not get an event for the tab of the fence. If you cannot invalidate the session. If you reopen the tab browser uses the last URL for the tab, which has the former state information. As you don't invalidate the session, the information is still valid and there is no way of knowing that the url was originally a closed tab.

In summary, as long as the browser does not send an event to the application running in the browser or tab, which then can be used to stop the closure, there is not solution.

  • CTRL + SHIFT + T opens the wrong tab

I don't know if it's an update or something I did, but the order of recently closed tabs was reversed in my story. The most recent is now at the bottom of the list, when I type Ctrl + Shift + T to restore a closed tab, I get the tenth tab more recent I closed instead of the most recent. Is there a way to fix this?

I'm not qualified to help, so take everything I write here with some grain of salt ^^.

But one thing you might try is your closed tabs saved to 0 and back to 10 again. Maybe this resets the battery...
To do so go to Subject: config and accept that you don't pay attention, don't worry you don't change something dangerous.
Search for browser.sessionstore.max_tabs_undo and set it to 0 , so without closed tabs are saved. Better you close Firefox and restart it, just to be sure.
No go to Subject: config and look for browser.sessionstore.max_tabs_undo if it does not open automatically. Set it to 10.

Open tabs and close them and see if it worked.

If this does not work, you can also assign browser.sessionstore.max_tabs_undo 1 there is only 1 entry and so it is always at the top, however, it is really a very ugly solution and I would not recommend this.

If this 'soft reset' does not work I guess you have a thrown to the top of Firefox, because I have not found a setting that would allow that you change the order in which the closed tabs are stored or displayed.

Have you recently installed addons? Have you tried resetting your browser and your profile?
