CTRL + SHIFT + T opens the wrong tab

I don't know if it's an update or something I did, but the order of recently closed tabs was reversed in my story. The most recent is now at the bottom of the list, when I type Ctrl + Shift + T to restore a closed tab, I get the tenth tab more recent I closed instead of the most recent. Is there a way to fix this?

I'm not qualified to help, so take everything I write here with some grain of salt ^^.

But one thing you might try is your closed tabs saved to 0 and back to 10 again. Maybe this resets the battery...
To do so go to Subject: config and accept that you don't pay attention, don't worry you don't change something dangerous.
Search for browser.sessionstore.max_tabs_undo and set it to 0 , so without closed tabs are saved. Better you close Firefox and restart it, just to be sure.
No go to Subject: config and look for browser.sessionstore.max_tabs_undo if it does not open automatically. Set it to 10.

Open tabs and close them and see if it worked.

If this does not work, you can also assign browser.sessionstore.max_tabs_undo 1 there is only 1 entry and so it is always at the top, however, it is really a very ugly solution and I would not recommend this.

If this 'soft reset' does not work I guess you have a thrown to the top of Firefox, because I have not found a setting that would allow that you change the order in which the closed tabs are stored or displayed.

Have you recently installed addons? Have you tried resetting your browser and your profile?

  • [Solved] Clicking on a tab on the bar tab selects the wrong tab.

    Firefox 34.0.5 running
Sometimes, but not always, by clicking on the tab bar opens the wrong tab.
Rather than open the tab is selected, it will open a tab completely to the left, in the corresponding position, rather than the tab I have click on.

For example, this image shows the tab I click on.

And this picture shows the tab firefox passes instead.

Note that it has instead moved to the left end of the tab list.

It may be interesting to note that my firefox is running with about 300 individual pills, of which about 30 are loaded at any point and time. [Solved] There was a conflict with an extension that appears to have been resolved.

Thanks for your help the-edmeister, I found the cause of the problem, it turns out to be an extension of the buggy, called Classic theme restaurateur 1.2.8.2.

It has been used to go back to an older version of the firefox theme, and unfortunately, it seems that bugs have been introduced as it became obsolete after several versions of Firefox.

  • Firefox on Windows 7 keeps opening the Options tab > how to fix?

Without clicking to open the Option tab, it opens on its own. Sometimes 2 or 3 tabs are open but not all at the same time.

One of the possible reasons are that if the Options page has been added as a second 'Home tab' in which case it will be displayed in each new window (Ctrl + n) and every time that you click the Home button.

To verify that you can use the page Options, as described in this article: start-up, homepage, tabs and download settings.

Look for a vertical bar character at the heart of the area that separates the two addresses. A simple example with short URLS:

    https://www.mozilla.org/|about:preferences

The bar certainly can be hard to spot with long URLs, but when you find it, delete everything to the right of the bar, then the bar itself (I suggest to remove the last bar so things don't accidentally get it together).

  • Open the new tab in the last tab

I discovered this a few days before.
Previously, when I clicked on a link, it is opened in the next tab.
Now when I click on a link, and it is opened in a new tab, this tab is the last tab in the window.
When I click on the + to open a new tab is empty, it is open to the end, it's ok.
But what do you have with the normal functionality to open a link in the last tab? It is very aggravating.

There is a hidden parameter for where opens a new tab, launched from an existing tab. You can check here:

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste the tabs and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (3) if the preference browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent is bolded and "user set" false, double-click it to restore the default value true.

    • On Mac, you can open Firefox 4.0 + in Safe Mode holding the key option key when starting Firefox.
    • Under Linux, you can open Firefox 4.0 + with leaving Firefox then go to your Terminal and running Safe Mode: firefox-safe-mode (you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)
    • Or open the Help menu and click on the restart with the disabled... modules menu item while Firefox is running.

Once you get the pop-up, simply select "" boot mode safe. "

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one. To do this, please follow article Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems .

  • Problem with the difficulty of opening the old tabs settings and save files when a new session is opened

    Hello
Since 2 weeks I have a problem: I always set my settings to restore the previous session with all my tabs and I choose that Firefox asks me where I want to save my downloaded files. Now, every time I close Firefox and I open it again, it is not taken into account and 3 tabs are opened: Firefox, Google, and thanks to install Zotero! I spare it, but every time it opens these tabs and not man. Ditto for saving the files. It goes back automatically to open the start page and save my file in the downloads. Even if I spare, it's the same.
I've desinstalled CCleaner (I thought it might be that), but nothing changes!
Help, please. Thank you very much!
    Martha

    Here's what I'll try:

    • Reset Firefox - that should solve the problem, but it will change the settings like where files are downloaded and what tabs open at startup back to their default values.
    • Then change your download and back session restore preferences to how you like them.

    Here's how:

    1. Go to help > troubleshooting information.
    2. Click on the button 'Reset Firefox'.
    3. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is finished, it will display a window with the imported information. Click Finish.
    4. Firefox opens with all the default settings applied.
    5. Open the window of options - tools > Options > general
    6. In the general Panel set Firefox to open your tabs from last time and set Firefox to ask you where to save downloads.
    7. Click OK

That should do it. Let me know if it worked.

    Thank you
