Current document only - AA wants to open several windows

It's fricken driving me crazy - I want AA to open several documents in the SAME WINDOW

I unchecked "current Document only" and it has not changed in opeing up to several docs in multiple windows.

That's what this command is supposed to control:

"Active document only: Specifies if the display is limited to a single PDF file."

NO - I want that they all open in the SAME WINDOW.

just as Firefox can open multiple TABS in the same window, I feel like I'm stuck w / IE new or worse I'm stuck w / AA player, in which I can't get windows reduced to only 1 window featuring several open PDF.

What gives? does anyone else have this problem? does anyone have a solution?

Thank you.

If it's version 9, then you are out of luck. It is no longer possible to

several documents open in the same window.

I try to open several windows on my desktop and am not able to do.  To clarify: I can open internet explore and have several new tabs display and can change from tab to tab.  What I can't do, is show more than one tab at a time.  I found the bar downstairs which let me windows cascading, or tiles.  I am just not able to have more than one window at a time.  I was able to do this on Windows vista, but window8 is more confusing to me and I want it to be my friend and be able to do much more.  Thank you

    Hello

You need to open the websites that you want to display side by side or cascading in a new window, not a new tab.

You can only do this if you use the desktop version of IE.

    1. open Internet Explorer by using the IE icon on the taskbar. Open a Web site in this window.

    2. If you have a link to open a second site, right-click on the link and select open in a new window. If you do not have a connection, right-click the icon in the taskbar of IE and click on Internet Explorer and it will open a new window. You can type the address for the second site, or use Favorites to open the website of the second in this window.

    3. Once you have the sites open in different windows on the screen, right-click on the taskbar and select Cascade Windows, show windows stacked, or show windows side by side.

  • Is it possible to open several windows in firefox 5.0? I can't do windows quick launch and the right click "open in a new window" does nothing.

Yes, not much more to say. Since I've upgraded to firefox 5.0, I opened several windows. Several tabs to work, but I don't like tabs. Help, please.

See if they work in Mode safe mode, which is very easy to test Firefox 5.

Safe mode: to appear in safe mode, a time when you do not not tick the subjects (they are definitely not safe). Help ('Alt + H") >"restart with disabled modules. If there is no problem then it is almost certainly of an extension.

If it works, try to find the addon (s) causing the problem.

    1. Disable half of the extensions and restart Firefox. At this point, you are no longer using safe and test extensions.
    2. If the problem persists, disable half of the other extensions

If it does not work select last half of people disabled
Then restart. and check again at step 2.

In case of failure to isolate the problem return answer and so resolute mark thread as resolved.

  • Open several windows after clicking on the button options

When I click on "tools > options" Firefix will open a number of new windows. When I click or uncheck an option it will open more windows, which seems to have begun after that I restarted firefix after it recommended only to use the function

Do a clean reinstall and remove the Firefox program before (re) install a new copy of the current version of Firefox.

If possible to uninstall your current version of Firefox to clean the Windows registry and settings in the security software.

    • Do NOT remove the "personal data" when you uninstall your current version of Firefox, because this will remove all profile folders and you lose personal data such as bookmarks and passwords including data profiles created by other versions of Firefox.

Remove the Firefox program before installation newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.

    • (32-bit Windows) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
    • (Windows 64 bit) "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla.

Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a uninstall and (re) install, but make sure that 'delete personal data' is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.

If you keep problems also create a new profile.

  • When I run IE9, trying to open several windows, but never accually do open. No acually Web site is in place.

When I tried to open IE9 several Windows IE tried to launch. More than 2-14 windows all at once. She is never resolved and no window opens in fact. But it tops out at all my memory and locks every thing upwards. Even try to use to close the Task Manager does not always work. The last appearance was I downloaded a zip file to open it in Internet Explorer, and when I clicked it several windows attempted to open at the same time. I did a scan for viruses with Avira and it was clean except for a single file that had a warning could not open. the file is "iw91POnz.exe". and was located in the: C:\users\Rick\AppData\Local\Temp\iw91POnz.exe. (This is defined as a "file ROOM" - size 8.57 MB. No idea where it came from or what it's attached too.) I deleted the my laptop OK boot file and everything seems to work OK.
Any thoughts on this is appreciated.

  • After update when I open Firefox, it opens several windows of Firefox additional 14-17

It is possible that there is a problem with the sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak files in the Firefox profile folder.

Delete the sessionstore.js file [2] and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox profile folder.

If you see files sessionstore-# .js with a number in the left part of the name as sessionstore - 1.js then delete those as well.

Delete sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and tab groups and opened and closed the tabs (back) to get lost, so you will need to create them again (take note or bookmarks).

I use a Gateway 510 series computer and has a real problem with the mouse. If I click once, I often bring up several windows. Some existing time windows will disappear and not selected windows appear. Copy and paste are almost impossible to do. On the Panel, I tried to click up and down speed adjustment with nothing doesn't. It is especially annoying on the internet using IE8 and Firefox. Can anyone offer possible solutions?

  • Open several Windows Calculator in Windows 8

    Hi all

    Hi all

    Thank you

    Hello

If you use multiple instances of the calculator often, it would be a good idea to simply pin the Calaculator to the taskbar.

    Open the calculator.

Right-click on the taskbar, the icon of calculator and select Pin to the taskbar.

Every time that you start a new instance of the calculator, right click on taskbar icon tasks, and then click Calculator.

  • I want to open several tabs for the same Web site. 9.0 will allow me to do this?

I keep getting pop up windows to update to Firefox 9.0 because its faster etc. I look round and he tells me he asks me if I already have one open. I WANT THE SAME SITE OPENED IN SEVERAL TABS according to what I'm working on. Is it still possible with the updated version. IF this isn't the case, I don't want it, but none of the FAQ questions even thought my question.

When you enter a site in the URL/address bar and see the section "Switch to tab" in the drop-down menu, you can

    • use ALT + ENTER to open the new tab (duplicate) anyway
    • Use CTRL (CMD on OSX) + left click on the original tab and drag until you see an arrow under the point of rupture between the two tabs upward, then release the left button, then release the CTRL/CMD key to obtain a duplicate of the tab with all of its history (front/rear)
    • Press the SHIFT key while an entry in the drop-down list is highlighted to disable 'Switch to the tab' and see the URL.
    • Use the right arrow to select an element marked as switch to tab in the menu drop-down and copy the URL in the address bar.
    • Open the URL in the current tab by using shift + enter on the highlighted entry.
    • ALT + Enter open the URL highlighted in a new tab.
    • Shift + enter opens the URL highlighted in the current tab.
    • Cursor right copies the URL highlighted in the address bar where you want to change it.

You can install this add-on to completely disable "switch to tab": https://addons.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/addon/switch-to-tab-no-more/

You may need to update some plug-ins. Check your plug-ins and update if necessary:

  • FF seems ot now open several windows on start up. Even on a new laptop. How can I change to just opeining my homepage?

A few weeks ago FF started to load several pages (tabs) at startup. I treid a lot to Pompeii and nothing is even on a new machine does. I'm sure it's a setting but after and + hours of research, I am obliged to migrate ot Chrome. Prefer to stay if there is a quick fix and I'm not sense enough to understand. Please advise...

It is best to open a new window with only this tab if you want to use the "Use current Page" (note that Firefox adds the ' pages if more than one tab is open).

Also, you should be able to drag a tab or the "Site Identity" (globe/lock) button on the address bar on the Home button to set this tab as homepage (you need to confirm this).

  • Why don't more recent Firefox versions crash when you open several windows on startup, but older versions did not?

What is the file size of the sessionstore.js file in the Firefox profile folder?

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder currently in use:

    • Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory: see file (Linux: open the directory;) Mac: View in the Finder)

You can check for problems with the sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak files in the profile folder of Firefox that store session data.

Delete sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and groups of tabs open and closed tabs (back) to get lost and you will have to re-create them (take note or bookmarks if possible).

    Luvnevrfails,

This is not possible with the UI of the application calendar.

I suggest you find Apple about your need to have this ability to provide comments from calendar.
