cursor engine

The cursor engine may be hidden?  The software is Labview 8.5. The cursor engine is diamond shaped control that appears when 'visible elements, legend of cursor' are selected after right-clicking on a xy chart.

I reformatted the appearance of the rest of the graph, but can not reformat the cursor mover separately.

Thank you

In the command Editor, you select the cursor engine and then customize this piece.  The cursor engine is itself a control.  You can then make the all transparent and move the controls behind the decoration so that they are not accessible by the user.  I did this in the attached VI, but I 2009 LV.  I saved back to 8.5; I hope it works for you.

    Best regards

I can't do something where you live.

The Brush tool works on the background of the chart. I just tried.

In the tool palette (view > Toolbox) to the left of the slider at the bottom of the palette brush icon are two places that overlap.  The lowest one, right slightly behind the stem remains one. By clicking on each square shows a color scheme that gives you several options to select a color.  The two places can be defined in different colors. The top is the foreground color and the back one is background color. You want to change the background color on your chart.

After selecting the color VERY CAREFULLY towards the tip of the brush a cursor area on the graph where without gridlines and click here.  This should change the color.  If it changes the grid, cancel and try again.  Sometimes, it may take several tries to get what you want, depending on your screen resolution, the number of grid lines are displayed and how the resolution of your mouse/trackpad/other cursor engine is good.

If this does work for you, please tell us exactly what your proven, step by step and after the VI with your attempts.

  • The cursor to select the search engine is missing and replaced by a white 'More' in a green dot.

Ok. I saw messages that explain what the 'green point '. That's all fine and dandy. The exception - I WON'T!

When this pretty green dot is there, I can't right-click on the selected text and choose where I want to get him. The default search now only Google.

So my question is; How can I get rid of this shit? I have NO use for it. I don't want to. I don't need. I want GONE! I want the old cursor backward! (To add insult to injury, the cursor no longer appears even when the 'point' is not there.)

    I'm using Firefox under win7 SP1 43.0.1

Thanks in advance for your help,

The green dot with several white means that the site offers a search engine that you can add to Firefox.

Firefox does by default. You probably have an add-on installed that changed the focus of the cursor in the URL bar of the search bar.

  • No cursor in the address after opening new tab bar

    Hello
After installing FF 29.0.1, when I opened a new tab, the cursor does not focus on the bar address, or something else.
If I run FF in safe mode it works and focus on the address bar. If I disable all of my extensions manually and launch FF in normal mode it does not work.

I looked at this thread https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/972359 already, but that has not helped.

What can I do to fix this?

  • How can I have the cursor in the address bar?

When I open Firefox the cursor is located by default in the Google search engine in the middle of the screen. I don't want it there, I want it in the address bar. How it is possible to occur?

Try Firefox Safe mode to see how it works there.

A way of solving problems, which disables most of the modules.

The problems of Firefox using Firefox SafeMode

    When in Safe Mode...

    • The State of plugins is not affected.
    • Custom preferences are not affected.
    • All extensions are disabled.
    • The default theme is used, without a character.
    • userChrome.css and userContent.css are ignored.
    • The layout of the default toolbar is used.
    • The JIT Javascript compiler is disabled.
    • Hardware acceleration is disabled.
    • You can open the mode without failure of Firefox 15.0 + by pressing the SHIFT key when you use the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • Or use the Help menu option, click restart with the disabled... modules while Firefox is running.

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the shortcut of Firefox (without the Shift key) to open it again.

If it's good in Firefox Safe mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one.

First of all, download this add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/add-to-search-bar/

After Firefox restarts, go to http://www.lib.uchicago.edu/efts/Woodhouse/

Place the cursor in the field where you can type in a query and then right click and choose "add to search bar." You should now be able to see in your list of search engines.

An another add-on is to have is this one: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/context-search/ it helps to highlight a word or phrase in a web page and then right-click and choose to search for any search engine you have installed including the English-Greek dictionary, you add. See screenshot for an example.

  • When you click the back button in Internet Explorer, I went back to the same page, I am already on. Problem seen in Google search engine.

Problem seen in Google search engine.

I used Google for years without problems - I work from home as a freelance journalist.  But this last few days, if I search for something on Google from IE and click on a result, I can get the page I want upward.  But then, if I want to go back to the same Google search page to check the other results, I can't go back by clicking on the button 'back' at the top left, as I always did.  If I click it, it just keeps returning me to the page I'm already.  I find no mention anywhere using this problem or any means to remedy.  If I have the cursor hover over the arrow bak, the address of the current page appears rather than the original Google search page, so there is obviously something wrong.

    Thank you

    Hello

    1. This only happens with Google?

    2. don't you make recent changes?

I suggest you to follow these steps and check if that helps:

    Method 1:

Try to run Internet explorer mode without modules and check to see if the same problem happens:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/Internet-Explorer-Add-ons-frequently-asked-questions

    Method 2:

Try to optimize Internet explorer and check to see if it helps:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/help/Internet-Explorer/slow-five-tips-to-boost-performance

    It will be useful.
