  a unique 3 hours phone call (no kidding - there is a clock on my desk phone) on the phone being transferred in both directions between AT & T and Blackberry, then AT & T said they needed from 1 hour in addition to fix.it and I didn't have to be on the phone for that.   Phew.  Do nice with my co-workers after this vacuum of time.

  On your PC (you cannot do this on MAC):

  1) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

  (2) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

  (3) download and install to your PC, the BB OS package you want:

  • http://us.BlackBerry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp

  (4) If this OS package comes from one carrier other carrier for which your BB was built, then remove, on your PC, all copies of the SELLER. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

  • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
  • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

  (5) run the Desktop software and connect your BB... the software should offer the operating system package you have installed on your PC. If, during the process, your BB votre BB a '507' error, simply unplug the power cord of the BB USB and reinsert it. do nothing else... This should allow the installation to continue.

  Do not forget to save.

  If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

  Hi, I recently wiped my blackberry 8520 OS with BBSAK and started to install another OS, in the process, the USB cable somehow has been disconnected and installation has failed. Now the phone just to start, turn on for about 3 seconds shows nothing and then turns off. It does not show same error 507. Help, please

  My girls used to connect USB phone and you could see his phone from the computer (iMac, Windows). Now, when she chooses USB he doesn't ask password and connects only to load as if she chose Charge Only.

  I don't think it's the computer, the same effect on our iMac and 2 Windows computers. Is there a setting on his phone that needs to be changed, or a updated software (it seems to be completely up to date)

  It is possible that the mass storage Mode was cut on the BB, which would translate as you indicate. Check here:

  Otherwise, each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  Hi, I love my Blackberry 8520. Had it a year now, but am I alone in thinking that the camera on this device is totally desperate. The images have no definition, and are too blurry. The installation of "zoom" appears completely dead. Everything else is great, but I would not recommend this model to use as a camera phone. Anyone who has views on my comments?

• Curve Smartphones blackBerry without service Blackberry in Norway?

  I'm in Norway for 6 months. I have T-mobile USA with the Blackberry service that I intend to suspend this period of 6 months. The only provider of services of Blackberry in Norway (Trigcom) does not allow a 6 month subscription (1 year), do not know if others do.

  I was just wondering, if I have the telephone service by a telephone company with no Blackberry service, which features in my phone I have not will be able to use. I can survive without the push email service using Google's Gmail for this period. But I rely on web browsing, google chat, google maps and other services intensively. I also use T - mobile UMA much, which works very well at home. The phone itself is excellent, so I was hoping to just put a SIM card and use everything normally except for the push e-mail and UMA.

  Does anyone have experience with the help of a curve without Blackberry service while retaining all the features above? Ask yourself what to ask because I get a mobile service provider.

  This means that you can do with your BlackBerry

  • phone calls (send & receive)
  • SMS (send & receive)
  • MMS (send & receive)
  • anything that requires no internet

  especially, no navigation available, unless you have a Wi - Fi connection on your device.

  Is could someone please tell me if the screen on the Blackberry 8520 easily broken? I used to have the Nokia N96 and Nokia N95 and when I put them in my bag in hand I've always had to make sure they were in a deal covering the screen.  My N95 had to be repaired as she knocked against something in my bag which broke the screen.  I have a case for my curve, but don't want to use it unless I have to like the phone want to show!

  I think the BlackBerry 8520 screen is plastic hard like all keyboard BlackBerry devices (= anything but storm/Storm2). It is possible to get scratches if you try hard on the teeth of a key of the door, but other than that it is as strong as you can expect from a mobile phone. In addition, the device is very thin and has a small footprint.

  On the N95/N96 that both models are known for their really fragile screen, rather than the quality usually provided by Nokia.

  Hi, I have a prob my girls curve 8520 just died Monday afternoon. She says he died as "the battery was flat," she says. Now, it does not come on, he wants, but he isn't.   Hi people really hope someone can help me set up my email on my blackberry phone, I went through the Setup Wizard, but when I get to the E-mail section there is only the possibility to create an email account with blackberry enterprise server and I think there should be another option.  I need a system restore to try to solve this problem, but nothing helped, please can someone help me xx
