CVI and screws

Hello

We use the CVI 2012 and I wonder if it is possible to incorporate screws into a CVI program? The background is that there are a lot of screws for instruments and we want to use the instruments of the CVI.

Is this possible? And how can we make it happen?

Thank you

Oliver

  • Sharing typedefs and screws between two different targets in the same project

    Hello

I am writing a distributed application that runs on a PC and a CompactRIO. There are a few data structures and functions of comfort (typedefs and screws) I want to share between them. What is the best way to do? A LVLIB is suited for this purpose?

I currently somewhat anime items shared on the 'My Computer' target. However, when I change my code, I sometimes click on "synchronize with other instances of the application. In addition, the shared items appear on my cRIO target dependencies list. I prefer not to have this happen. is it possible to avoid these?

    Thank you!

Actually, I just discovered I can "include explicitly" the same control/VI in different targets, and LabVIEW will not see it as a conflict.

  • 4415 proBook s: replacement of the optical drive - need a support and screw

    Hello

I'm replacing an optical drive, reference 535816-001 for a 4415 s HP's Probook. I've lost the support that attaches to the rear of the optical drive, seen in Maintenance and Service of Guide on page 68 (http://h20628.www2.hp.com/km-ext/kmcsdirect/emr_na-c01918897-3.pdf). The HP parts store said that the replacement of optical discs does not understand the support. I also talked with HP Support, and after putting me on hold and check with their supervisor, said that there is no spare part for the optical drive carrier. Does anyone know of a place to buy a replacement media for optical drive 535816-001 part number that would be compatible with a 4415 s HP's Probook?

I also need a Phillips PM2, 5 × 7.0 live which blocks the optical drive to the computer. I saw screw for sale online kits, but was not sure if someone knew a place where I could buy one.

Thank you very much for the help.

Wait, I don't understand it how can you lose this part if you already work on it? And for your parts, you should look on eBay if they have this hardware and screws for your car as well.

  • I have a Samsung NP900X4C laptop (with a 256GB SSD installed) and screwed up through the installation of Win7Prof instead of the upgrade.

Original title: clean install Win 7 64 bit

Like others, I have a problem with a clean install of Win 7 64 bit Proffesional. I have a Samsung NP900X4C laptop (with a 256GB SSD installed) and screwed up through the installation of Win7Prof instead of the upgrade. A lot of the buiult in functions do work not (Wireless; Hiring of video, USB Ports etc.) and to top it all off I get now blue screen errors...

If installing from an external DVD drive, crosses, it shows that the HARD drive has already 4 partitions.

    Partition 1 (e :)) Disk0

    Disk0 Partition 2

    Disk0 3 (C :) Partition System

Disk0 Partition 4 hidden OEM Partition.

So far I have just selected Heve installation on Partition 3 C: System.

Y at - it a utility that I can use to retrieve the data from the OEM Partition I want to return to the initial state by default if possible.

If not what is the best utility to use repartition (how many and what size?) and format the HDD.

    Cordially chrisxsmith

The best you can do is to contact Samsung and request recovery media to restore your system to its factory default state.

Call Samsung to get a recovery disc - to find a phone number for your location:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/GP/oemphone/

Thank you Andre, very appreciated, unfortunately Samsung and their Tech Support here in the UNITED Arab Emirates was not as useful.

I managed to keep the button restore during the 5 sec boot process that initiated the request 5 restore Samsung which was then able to take the original installation of the hidden Partition image.

    Fortunately the issue is resolved.

  • How to call dll com APIs that range from the performance counters of less than 1 ms with CVI and always get less timer resolution of 1 ms

    Hello

I've created a dll com in VC ++ using performance counters/timers to less than a millisecond.

This is useful when you send a message to very high speed. (say 10 or more)

This is done by the dll.

When I use CVI to create a user interface, this dll runs at a fixed rate of 1ms.

    This slows down the application.

I tried to use the same dll with VC ++ host and it works well.

I need to check the registry setting to see if the useDefaultTimer is set to false or TRUE.

(I'm not near the development PC) However, by default, it should be FALSE and I have no fidle with it.

Veuileez post any suggestions you might have.

    Thank you!

This problem is now solved for me.

Just the highest thread priority in the dll.

Thank you if you had the answer.

  • sbRIO synchronism IO and screws

    Hello

I am a program on a coding sbRIO. It is a program I wrote for a cRIO and now I put it on a sbRIO.

The 'problem' is that there is no support scanning for the sbRIO engine, so I use FPGA to access the IO.

So I was access the e/s using the open FPGA function, analysis/o reading / writhing to shared variables at a glance timed (1 Mhz) VI located on the FPGA. On the host, I have a master of VI calling several other VI who read shared variables and write at them.ost should do its own

But the moment seems to be all that sink and very erratic, because I think the VI running on the host processor take lengths ranging from long to run, or something like that?

Is there a standard structure to analyze the I/O writh to shated variable, then let the screws handle variables shared that

are rewritten for the e/s by the FPGA program?

Or each VI on the host has its own access to IO individually?

Ideally, I'd like to have the same functionality that the analytical engine provides the cRIO, even to the analysis of 10 Mhz.

Suggestions, examples, standard solutions of architecture?

    Thank you

    Gabriel

There are three methods that you can use for communication between the host and FPGA are mentioned here:

    http://zone.NI.com/reference/en-XX/help/371599F-01/lvfpgaconcepts/pfi_data_transfer/

Once this is done, then it's to you as to how you want to relay these data to other subsystems. You can use shared variables, native TCP/IP Protocol, etc. of the lines to transfer data from other screws on the same machine. Thus, a VI or loop on your host can be used only for communication and the other screws can "wait" to receive the data.

  • VI Analyzer Questions: Change the default test configuration and screw "Pavilion".

I have two things I continue to come through in VI Analyzer:

    1. are there in any case to set the default VI Analyzer so that it applies to all projects, I'm working on that?

I tried to create a task in project A, registration of the configuration and any attempt to open this file in project B, but it says that the file could not be loaded. The reason for my question is that there are a few default options that just add errors that we don't care (e.g. Controls dialog on the façade - 99% of the LabVIEW code that we are working on is called from TestStand as code modules, so the front panel doesn't really count)

    2. can I score / report some screws as 'safe' for parser tests?

Basically, some screws may fail some perfectly safe way VI Analyzer tests (e.g. non-stanard errors on a 'closing' VI, who doesn't have a case error structure so that the device always gets closed). I wish I had a way to mark the VI kind VI Analyzer would ignore this particular test. This would allow me to have a rule that says something like "before any construction, run the file configuration VI analyzer and make sure there is not error", as opposed to "run VI Analyzer and examine errors, decide whether or not they are important for the VI in question..." ». An extension to this question would be how do I perform a task VI Analyzer before building when the VI Analyzer screw do not accept files cfg for project based tasks.

Any help would be greately appreciated!

    Thank you

    Shaun

    1. a project oriented .cfg file cannot be transferred between projects.  Could you possibly create a .cfg unrelated to the project file (under the option 'Start a new task' on the first page of the VI Analyzer) and use it?  He would have no file in the list, but it would have all of the configured tests as you want.  And you could start with this on your different projects .cfg file... you would just add screws based on file (on page 2 of the VI Analyzer), rather than have all come to you in a .cfg project-based.

    2. on page 4 VI Analyzer, you can exclude certain tests to run on some screws and save these settings in a .cfg.  This option is also exposed in the VI Analyzer API with VIAn exclude the VI.vi Tests.

  • MAX and screw reminder

    Hi all!

I did the Architecture developed in Labview a few months ago. My question is about the caalback screw.

I am trying to open the editing window of MAX balance since a LabVIEW application. In LabVIEW, we can open this window with a right-click on a constant scale:

I think that this feature is performed by a reminder-vi.

How can I open programm the opening of this window? As a general rule, the end user will have a calibration for each measurement window, and if necessary, he will have an "Edit" button to directly open the windows... Is this possible?

    Thaks you by advance!

Of course, these functions are shrouded in the DAQ Assistant and can be called as a normal VI.  The problem is it is undocumented, and NEITHER can choose to change in any way that it works and break the code that relies on it to behave in a specific way.  That being said here is the code that I wrote which can create or modify channels, tasks or scales.

  • Package VI and screw Sub

    Hi all

I have a first level VI with a bazillion sub screws what is the best way to package all the screws in a nice, transportable set that will allow me to launch the first level on another computer that has installed LabVIEW VI.

I tried to make a project out of everything, but it seems to me that the project contains pointers to the screws, not the screw themselves.  Is it possible to have the project include all associated files in VI?

Or is it better to create a LAW degree?  If so, orientation in this way would be highly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

If you go to your highest level VI and go to save one of the options is to save the entire hierarchy to a new location. This will save each VI which is called in your program. See below:

  • _WIN32_IE different value in 2009 of the CVI and CVI 2010

Hello everyone, I have a special problem, that I have not experienced before. I hope that I'm not the first person to deal with this problem...

I have a code written and properly compiled in 2009 CVI source and just trying to compile it in CVI 2010 as it is, until I make my changes. The problem is that, in 2010, the NM_CUSTOMDRAW defined in CommCtrl.h (and other things used in the source code) (see below) is not found by the pre-procesor because _WIN32_IE value is not the same as in 2009 of the CVI. I wonder if this _WIN32_IE is set by the compiler itself. I tried to change it in the Build-> Configuration-> Manage configuration-> Edit-> Build options-> compiler sets by adding the /D_WIN32_IE sentence = 0 x 0300, but then the compiler says "ilegal expresion" at the first time, it takes the value _WIN32_IE in ShellAPI.h. I have the same error in compilation for 64 and 32.

    Suggestions please!

    CommCtrl.h

    ...

    #if (_WIN32_IE > = 0 x 0300)
    #define NM_CUSTOMDRAW (NM_FIRST-12)

    ...

    Josete Hello,

Which is the line which gives you errors? Is it in your code or in a headder file? NM_CUSTOMDRAW use in your code?

/ D_WIN32_IE = 0 x 0300 in the compiler sets should work. What is the line that gives you an error in ShellAPI.h?

Could you please list the headers you include in a file that gives you an error.

To understand how the preprocessor directives are expanded, you can use the menu Options-> pre-treatment of Source files from a window of the source editor.

  • The BRUSH TOOL is off-center and screwed up with wacom tablet on my update of Flash 2014

Hello I updtaed cc Flash today, and I have the same problem. It's like the Brush tool is not calibrate, the line is off of the tip of the pen, about 5 mm beyond the point where I put the pen tip and the beginning of the line is always made a strange figure as figure shows (such as tip number one). It is not my tablet because with the cc Flash (2013), it is OK and is ok too with other software.

My tablet is calibrated correctly and works fine with photoshop, it's with the brush in Flash tools who is screwing on.  To try to solve the problem, I've updated by driver of the Tablet, but it does not solve the problem.  Remember, it worked perfectly fine with the previous version of Flash, the problem happened as soon as I have upgraded to the new version.

My tablet is a Wacom Cintiq 12WX

    FLASH CC version: 14.0.0.110

    my pen mode is

    Hello

I see used Tablet driver version is too old (released in February 2010). Could you please uninstall the old and install the latest drivers which is 6.3.8 - 4. you can download and install the latest driver for cintiq12wx pilots Legacy | Wacom by selecting your Tablet model and the OS. Could you try and check the issue?

  • WiFi broken and screwed

Hi, I would ask if cold advise me what might be broken in my iphone. My iphone 4S envy of 30cm and closed down. After a while he started again and everything was fine. But after a while you stop again without reason. and then I wasn't able to star it upward, unless I have it plugged into the charger. Now my wifi button is missing (black task rather), whenever I start the iphone it says its 1 January and its 01:00, it also shows that my battery is full and I can't connect to my phone operator to call. I noticed a small space on top, between the back and the case of the iphone (sound very tight, but you can put paper in it). Thank you for all the advice. PS: I know its not easy to say what might be broken, but thankks to try.

Obviously, it's a hardware problem.  You can pay a small fortune to Apple or get a category renamed repair shop.

  • LabWindows CVI and debugging dll MSVC ++

We use a written LabWindows/CVI DLLS in the code for Teststand module. This DLL calls a DLL written in MSVC ++.  Is it possible to use the debugger of Labwindows/CVI debug this DLL MSVC ++ (if this DLL MSVC ++ is built with 'good' options)?  Or is possible only using the environment of development MSVC ++?

    Hello mkossmann,

The CVI compiler generates different types of than MSVC debugging information.

The debugger CVI doen't understand the debugging information generated by MSVC, so you cannot debug the dll compiled in MSVC.
