D & E drive does not recognize that there is a disc in there?
It seems that the computer will not recognize the presence of a disc. I tried to burn pictures on a disc and it tells me just that there's no disc. If I try to open it by clicking on computer it just freezes and nothing happens at all.
I tried using Roxio, WIndows etc etc, but nothing recognizes that there is a saying? I am confused and would appreciate any help.
I do not have another computer and know how in any case

I had this problem for weeks and only recently someone told me that it is perhaps for this reason.
I tried several things to fix, and one of those who created an error where when I clicked on drive E in Windows Explorer, it looks like:E:\ application not found
So, in the end, I wiped my computer and everything on it and rebooted again.
IT TOOK FOUR HOURS.
So, I've set up the computer as I did when I got it 2 years ago, and everything was fine. I could insert a disc, it reads that and I was able to install my game, no problems.
Now, I have reset everything up, and there are more than 2000 updates to update installed. So I did.
SO NOW, after all this, which took another TWO HOURS - he does not all disks again.
I play the Sims 3 - fiercely - and so I tried to re - install all my expansion packs, but it does not now.
I DON'T want to make that whole process again and install all my games before updating Windows, because I believe, even if I did that, once I've updated, I can't play the game, because my laptop does not recognize that the game disc is there.
Help, please.
I spent so much money on these games, and I love them! I don't have the money to buy a new computer.

Is it recognized in Windows Explorer?
If your computer is having problems with a recently installed device or other hardware, try to use the hardware and peripheral troubleshooting tool to solve the problem. It checks the common issues of interest and ensures that a new device or hardware connected to your computer has been installed correctly.
Open the hardware and devices Troubleshooter to check if it detects anything:

My computer does not recognize that there is a webcam, but make programs like Skype?
So, I'm currently talking to my friend on Skype video call. It works well, she see me and I see it. However, I try to use my built in webcam that allows him to see me, and no other program won't even recognize that I have even a webcam. It's weird, I looked at my list 'scanners and cameras' as well as my list of devices and no of them say that I have a camera. This confuses me no end. I'm running an old Inspiron M5030 of three years (or almost). It is currently running windows 7 Home premium 64-bit.

Player does not recognize that the CD or DVD is loaded
A player does not recognize that there is a disc inserted - when I try to use, it ejects and ask valid. I tried several CD and DVD with the same answer. I downloaded the BIOS and readers say that it works correctly.
Can you help me please?Sounds like the drive has failed. You can try to clean with a CD/DVD audio standard disk cleanup, but if it fails, then the reader should probably be replaced.

My computer does not recognize that I have two monitors connected.
I have a VGA splitter cable, but even after I used the cord to connect two cords vga to a port, the computer is only noted one of the monitors. So when I go into settings to try to get them to display both, or to identify, the computer notice only a single monitor. So the problem is that my computer does not recognize that there are two put monitors in place.
Cable splitter separates the single signal only. The computer only sees it as an output. You would need a different video card use the two forms as separate monitors instead of simply split the signal.

Hello Graboots,
Thank you for your message. You can plug your printer on another computer, in order to exclude the possibility that the problem lies in the printer? You can try using a different cable, for this rule as well. Since it is a question of recognition, we remove the external devices before software troubleshooting. Do you get anything when you plug the printer (ie. a tinkle of connection)? Please let us know, we are looking forward to hear back on your part.See you soonEngineer Jason Microsoft Support answers visit our Microsoft answers feedback Forum and let us know what you think.
