"d" recovery disc in computer HP Vista filling top-HELP

I have a HP with Vista. My C drive has plenty of space, but not my D drive. I do not knowingly record or put anything in my D drive. I know that it is the recovery partition. I read the other posts where people are delete files on this disc which should not have been there, but I don't think it's my problem. I'm not really sure of what is on this drive other than what belongs to it bc when I click on 'scan' or 'cleaning' or whatever the real verbage is, it gives a big HP WARNING stating that it is the recovery and not mess with it. My is... question if I can't even get in there to see what files are in it and if I did not knowingly put anything on it, how I solve this problem? What could go to thread it upward? Is it normal to fill it out, and just as I was actually paying attention to space today, I worry when I don't have to? I had no warnings "low space" at the moment, but I don't know what should be the 'normal' amount and I'm still not able to verify what is there I do not know if something is there which should not, and if I am at risk for this fill. Sorry this would have gotten confused. :) If someone can tell me if there is a problem, I need to be worried, if I can free up space there, so this will be something that will stay the same or grow, that would be appreciated. Thank you

    I have a laptop Acer 4720 with valid product key of Vista Home Premium OEMact and COA label, my problem is the HD is broken and I need to install the new HD and then reinstall windows, but I have not all disks (was on the recovery partition which is good), so what are my options? Can I use any family Vista Edition installation disc Premium and then activate my license key?

    Hi again,

    You use the product key on your computer case with the Installation DVD Microsoft process.

    As I advised alreasdy, recovery from other manufacturers discs are of no use for this

    The only thing is that you may need to make a phone Activation, do it this way and not use auto invite, but hold the line for a person to physically respond to your call.

    I would advise not to download an ISO of Vista on the Internet, you will find that they are pirated and malicious programs containing versions changed.

    The DVDs are not available from Microsoft.

    When I informed 'borrow' that's what I meant. a friend, acquantance workplace, etc.

    Or if you know someone with the same model of Acer and Vista operating system, you might try their recovery disks.

The system will run the recovery VERY slowly (usually taking more than 20 minutes to get to the point where I wonder how I want to restore the system. I tried all the options available (personalization of the size of the partition, back out of the box, etc.) to get to the next stage where it begins "initiallizing partition" and it hampers is permanently in this screen.

    Knowing that previous screens have taken a lot of time to load from disk, I even let it run all night and it never progresses a plus! Help, please! I just want to get all work as it did when I got it! I bought an HP computer a few years back with windows vista home premium, when I started it told me to do a series of witch of recovery disks that I made. Also, I have a laptop that is running windows XP Professional and want to put windows vista Home premium on it. So, are these recovery disks that I made my copy of vista Home premium? If this is not the case, how can I get the copy I paid? and if they do I use to install my vista on my laptop? If I can, how?  Thank you

    Hello

    You cannot use the recovery discs HP computer did you to install vista on your laptop

    read this

    ·                        as your vista is preinstalled on the HP machine it is an oem license and cannot be transferred to another machine

    It is linked to the original machine on which it is installed

    If he had a license of vista of detail that isn't there could have been transferred to another machine

    but it can only be installed on a machine at any time

    the rule is: A windows license = a windows installation

    You can use your HP recovery discs that you made to reinstall vista on your original HP computer

    and that's all you can do with them

    Microsoft sells more vista

    they moved on windows 7

    You can find a copy of vista and license left to a computer repair shop

    Each manufacturer is different things about the recovery partition.  You need to contact the computer manufacturer (online - they can publish procedures - or by telephone) for instructions on how to use the recovery disk (there are probably a combination of special keys at boot that activates the process).  Keep in mind that this type of resettlement will completely eliminate your primary system partition, so don't forget to backup your important data until you try it.

    Here is an article on the 1935 error and solution to fix it.  Maybe this will help (he has a little advanced, but so is the problem then do your best to fight the operating instructions).  http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/archive/2004/11/10/255346.aspx.

    I hope this helps.

    Hello

    You will need to contact the manufacturer of your computer using the recovery disks do.

    Your computer manufacturer has implemented their own recovery discs manufacturing process, and is not a process of Microsoft Vista.

    You can, with some manufacturers still buy recovery discs.

  • Satellite L550-1CC crashed - do not have Win 7 64 bit recovery disc

    Just bought a laptop Toshiba L550-1CC with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit installed.
    Other software had been installed on the 64-bit version and then the laptop crashed and seem to start with the OS but with a blank screen and only the Courvite of mice showing that could be moved.

    Unfortunately, the laptop came with a Windows recovery disc 7 32 bit only.
    This has been used to charge the cell phone who then worked well with all the software loaded into the hard.

    It's my wife's new laptop and she would in reverse on the 64 bit version of Windows 7 which did not appear in the Toshiba recovery disc.

    The partition of the HARD drive in the laptop has always hidden for access 64-bit original software and can make you a 64-bit recovery disc while the Toshiba is still running on 32-bit software. Having received only the new laptop, that I didn't want to spend another £30 on the purchase of a 64-bit recovery disc?

    There have been any help to settle this with gratitude because I get heckled by the boss.

    Chris

    Hi Prassky,

    If you start the recovery of HARD drive option, you should be able to restore Windows 7 64 bit. So I agree with Timox.

    But I have a question: why you didn t create the recovery disk Toshiba for Windows 7 64 bit first? It seems that you didn t read the user manual

    Anyway, to start the HARD drive recovery and hope that you will be able to create the recovery disk. If this isn't the case, you must order the Toshiba disk.

    When I bought my computer with vista as my windows operating program.                  I want to get a vista disk to repair or reinstall vista instead of the disk three gave me or just sent me my own vista disc

    Microsoft sends NO Vista DVD.

    You already have the manufacturer's recovery disks.
    Recovery disc reinstall Vista and your computer about how you bought.

    You will need to contact your computer manufacturer to see if you have a recovery Partition on your hard drive.

    This isn't their recovery process, Microsoft.

    Recovery discs are made from the recovery Partition, OR provided by the manufacturer, as in your case!

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Here is some general info recovery options.
    How to get Vista recovery Media or the Vista recovery Partition on your computer back to factory settings.
    There is no Vista free download legal available.
    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.
    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.
    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
    Ask them if you can also make recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.
    They will tell you how to do this.
    Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.
    Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
    A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
    The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.
    There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
    If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu
    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of startup if repair you need to do a startup repair.
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
    NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
    It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.
  • dc5800 sff computer of office: purchase recovery disc for dc5800 sff system, model KA404UT #ABA
    I am the 2nd owner of computer and appears as former owner had installed a Dell on this HP operating system. would be OK but drive hard contains of disk errors that Windows cannot fix. Leading to intermittent shutdowns and all kinds of fluctuations to get a Win 7 upgrade disk to restart Windows. HP does not sell the RRD more. I'd be willing to pay for the discs, if someone has a set of left.
    Hello:
    Most of the dc5800 comes with Windows Vista Business or Vista Business downgraded to XP Pro, like yours, so HP has never had recovery disc for the dc5800 W7.
    https://h10057.www1.HP.com/ecomcat/hpcatalog/specs/provisioner/05/KA404UT.htm
    You call this number (USA/Canada) to see if HP recovery Vista Business left discs?
    Demand for 64-bit because otherwise you will get 32 bits.
    1-800-334-5144
    If they do not, you can still get a set of this provider not HP - looks like only 32-bit however.
    You can call and ask if they have Vista Business 64-bit games.
    (4) how would these discs...
    I you thankful if you could help, its a super computer
    Conduct research on how to operate the discs, just want to make sure that they contain vista
    > 1) would be reformatting my laptop fix these problems?
    Probably yes
    (> 2) 2 discs "TOSHIBA satellite p300 etc. product recovery media and said windows vista ultimate 64-bit.
    As far as I know that P300 was equipped with HARD drive recovery and Vista 32 bit was preinstalled. There should be an option that allows to recover the laptop using the recovery of HARD drive option. Press F8 when the laptop starts up. Then choose fix my computer and start HARD drive recovery.
    This should set the machine to factory settings. Finally, you can create a recovery disk using the Toshiba recovery disc Creator called preinstalled software.
    (> 3) should I make a copy of the PRODUCT ID series vista on my system menu screen
    You can do this, but as far as I know the Vista on the Toshiba Recovery disk is already enabled and you don t need the series keys.
    (> 4) how would these discs...
    Usually you have to boot from that disk
    PS; For more details you should read the user manual and must read the discussions in this forum!
    I think that this has been discussed much time here in the forum.
    You can create the recovery disk using the Toshiba recovery disc creator!
    This tool must be preinstalled on your laptop if the laptop was equipped with HARD drive recovery option.
    You can also try to restore the laptop using the recovery of HARD drive option.
    You must press the F8 key during switching on laptop and I then have to choose the option called fix my computer. Then new window should open, and you could choose the Toshiba recovery.
  • How to recover my computer to factory settings? How to buy recovery discs and which ones?
    I recently bought a used computer on craigslist.  It's a HP Pavilion a6700f.  He came originally with Vista, but the previous owner installed Windows 7 32 on it.  I want to put it back to factory settings, but I can't seem to do it without the recovery disks, which I did not.  I have tried F11 at startup, but the system recovery won't be open in this way for a reason any.  I tried to buy HP recovery disks, but they only for Windows Vista 64-bit.  I'm not sure if my computer came with Vista 64 bit or -34, although she has 34 bit Windows 7 right now.  How can I recover the computer to factory settings?  Can I buy the Vista 64-bit recovery discs and use them?  Will they work?  Thank you.
    Hello
    The command system will work for you given that provide you the product id of your machine. Please use the following link, it should tell you that the original operating system:
    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/bph07143
    Good luck.
    Hi, my friend has a computer laptop windows xp home edition, his girlfriend a recovery disc, it ran, but said, that he left his laptop with nothing on it, since the software does not load anything for his laptop is empty. Can I download a windows xp my windows 7 or vista on a drive for him? and if so how do I download it? Thanks 4 your time. Very much appreciated. Kim
    Hi redgiboy,
    There is no free option to download Windows XP.  The best option is to visit the site Web of the manufacturer of the computer and order replacement disks.  If Windows XP was purchased from a reseller, do not preinstalled on the computer, see thisdocument.
