D530 CMT power Maximum

I have an opportunity D530 CMT P4 3 GHz 1 GB RAM 40 GB HD. I wanted to get a new power supply, that it works very well, but want to add a better video card. I think the power is 240, but not sure. But I wanted to know what PSU max, this system can handle? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hello:

Maybe you can get an opportunity, but tested and functional P/S since a dc7600/dc7700 on eBay.

These PC uses the same case as a d530 CMT and their P/S are 365 Watts.

The only issue you might encounter is that these P/S are built for SATA HDD, so you will need to make a SATA power Molex adapter, or you can get a SATA HDD for your d530.

With this P/S, you should be able to install a wide video AGP card.

I ran a nVidia GeForce 6200 128 MB video card and run windows 7 on my d530, without having to exchange the 240W P/S.

I also installed a sata and sata DVD burner drive. To power the DVD burner, I have a Molex to SATA power adapter.  The motherboard has 2 SATA controllers.

I also maxed out the CPU and ram.

Nice machine when all maxed out.

  • HP d530 CMT stops responding during the recover program

HP d530 CMT stops responding during the installation phase. With the restoration of original hp more cd drive and operating system came with the computer, but it stops on the phase of installation at 35 minutes. Did the restore process several times with the same results. How return the computer to its original configuration?

    Hello:

    The keyboard should not matter.

You can open the case and remove the plug on the second CD player.

If the PC Restore, closed right down and plug the power cable back in the secondary CD and XP must discover and install it.

If you live in the United States, you can buy another game for $10 for your PC recovery discs if they are still available, by contacting CV at 1-800-334-5144.

Simply provide the model # and serial number.

Otherwise, you will need to install XP Pro (I guess that's what the license is for) with an XP Pro OEM installation disc and use the product key on your PC to activate it.

You may not use any other type of installation disk to use the product key that is on the PC.

  • Compaq DC7700 CMT: Power supply Assembly for dc7700 cmt

I got a HP Compaq DC7700 CMT (convertible minitower) and want to install my XFX XT power supply in it series.

It seems that the holes for the screws may be different. No power supply is available for the side by side comparison.

    If anyone can check that?

and, is it possible to install a "standard atx" PSU in this dc7700.

If Yes, what should be done.

The XFX PSU adapts physically, and it seems that the connectors on the motherboard are all compatible.

My only concern right now is if the new XFX PSU moved to the back of the tower.

I count on the installation of a hard disk with Windows7 on it, two spare HARD drive as the network maps and graphs updated

Your correct, the PSU do not line up.

What has been done in the past, it is what is in the photo. You just made an adapter plate.

Be aware that only the Legacy graphics cards will work.

  • Question of IDE D530 cmt

I currently have a 40 GB hd, but want at least a 160 GB. For now I'm looking at a caviar WD IDE, but the hd said country, and I'm not familiar with that. I'll be able to use this hd in this model? Any help is very appreciated. Thank you in advance.

    Hello:

    Interesting question.

I think you will be OK if you just leave the secondary IDE drive such what and remove the primary IDE drive.

Saves you the SATA hard drive with the SATA port 0 and which would automatically become the boot drive.

You don't need to change the settings that you have left the BIOS settings to their default values.

    Storage options

    SATA Configuration *.

Allows you to choose how the SATA controller and the devices are accessed by the operating system. "Add as a separate controller" is the default option.

Up to 4 PATA and SATA 2 devices are available in this mode. SATA and PATA controllers appear as two separate IDE controllers. Use this option with Win XP and Win 2 K. • SATA 0 is considered primary device SATA 0 • SATA 1 (if any) is considered to be secondary device SATA 0

You don't want your BIOS set to the setting below.

'Replace the primary IDE controller' are another option. Up to 2 PATA and SATA 2 devices are available in this mode. SATA and PATA controllers appear as a manipulator IDE. Use this option with Win 98 and earlier operating systems. • SATA 0 replaces primary peripheral PATA 0 • SATA 1 replaces the primary PATA 1 unit.

You already have a connection to SATA power on the same cable as the power goes on your hard drive. Is this the black connector, but need you a SATA data cable to connect the SATA drive to the small black SATA port on the motherboard.

  • Drivers for d530 CMT

Hello everyone, I have a HP Compaq D530 Convertible Minitowers computer model
It's a bit old so I formatted the hard disk to clean.
But now I have problems to install the drivers.
I have no CD with drivers, but I intend to download what I need on the site of HP.
Driver Chipset has done well because there is only one choice, but for the sound card, there are two choice and I do not know which I'll choose.
How can I determine what are the components?

    There are:
ADI SoundMax AC97 Integrated Driver Digital Audio (SP27103 REV. (D)
ADI SoundMax Audio Driver for Windows 98SE, 2000, ME, XP (Sp24465)

Should I choose an or do I have to install both?

    Hope for help

    WL37

    You are the very welcome.

Sometimes the website company failed and you have to try a couple of times.

I just clicked on the link that I posted and it works fine for me.

If you can't get it, go to the d530 support page and download the first class audio driver.

This is the one you need (5.12.01.3620 Rev D (January 23, 2004)).

Also, I can't start Windows without the installation disk in the drive. If it is not in the drive, he'll get me through the entire process of installation and configuration. Thus,.

  • Many problems with my D530 SFF, freezing and black monitor (windows xp operating system)

First off I want to start by saying that I am a complete noob when it comes to computer repair. But since it wouldn't kill me if I lost the files on my computer and I intend to get a laptop soon, I'm willing to tinker and try to solve the problem with my office on my own. First on my cpu fan had started to get progressively stronger over the years that my HDD approached capacity. And it seemed that the computer can get more hot than the optimal temperature. At the present time, I think the hard drive is completely filled and maybe ultimately causing my problems. Periodicly, I started getting messages that my virtual memory is too low and that the system could make more room. Now I clean a bit and delete files to make more room. A year and a half, this computer has not connected to the internet that last week I hung it and installed a bunch of updates automatically from windows (seemed to run more quiet and cooler). I also deleted bitdefender and malwarebytes and installed Avira. At the beginning everything worked well for a few days (some lag sometimes, but he had been trolling for a while) and that one day I left the system and did things around the House. When I came back my computer was powered down on its own. When I tried to restart led lights up and the fans and cpu but my monitor does not receive a signal. I turned the computer off checked cords, get rid of the dust in the case and that I tried to restart and got the same thing. After that, I pulled the ram and clean the slots and riser and the cd player and I tried to reboot after the installation. If I remember correctly this time the monitor received the signal, but the system froze on the start menu to hp. After that I stopped and restarted the monitor could not receive the signal. At this point, I decided to leave the 'thing' sit overnight and try again in the morning. I have two-way to ram and Board riser with those of d530 my father and got the same results. After about 6 hours or so I started the computer today and was able to start windows, but when I tried to access the control panel the system froze.  Initially, I thought that my graphics card was out, and I read somewhere else that others had similar problems when their processor is out, but the fact that windows started today left me speechless. It seems I can get liked long in the longer boot process I leave my office to sit down. What is an overheating problem?

    Hello:

Your SFF model has two known issues. The CMT is not the power supply issue.

    1. the power supply explodes and smoke if left unplugged for a long period of time, so do not leave it unplugged. There are videos of this on the internet for your viewing pleasure (say).  I had 2 of them jumping on me. Scares the heck out of you!

    http://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=nHPf6jHdEFg

    More information.

    http://h30499.www3.HP.com/T5/business-PCs-Deskpro-Evo/HP-D530-SFF-power-supply-failure-information/TD-p/1040147

    2. the model is released at the time of counterfeiting capacitor.  The symptoms that you are desribing made the diagnosis of bad capacitors.

Check the PC for capacitors sealed or curved around the processor and the motherboard in general.

Here's a good article on who and what to look for. First browse the links on the left and on the right, there are pictures.

    http://badcaps.NET/pages.php?vid=2

If you have bad capacitors, I would just scrap the PC. IMO not worth fixing - what with the bomb ticking power and everything.

  • No installation ssd usdt

I am trying to install an SSD in my d530 USDT. There is a slot for the connection where the large cable would connect but is much smaller for the SSD drive and fits the smaller SSD for the connection, but there is not one where the second connection would be to connect the power supply. On the SSD drive there is a small slit of connection that I guess would be to power the original HD had for its housing of power.

    Hello:

In fact, there is a port sata on your model.  See page 7 of the link below.

    https://h10057.www1.HP.com/ecomcat/hpcatalog/specs/emeapsg/99/D530SERIES.PDF

It's a very strange looking thing.  It does not resemble a standard desktop sata port.  It is much more difficult to research.

On my d530 CMT, there were two.

If it's something like those on the WTO, a black connector L shaped.

The ports on the IMS are right next to the button battery. The yellow reset CMOS button is sandwiched between two sata connectors.

I have no idea how the card mother usdt is put out, but according to the specifications, there is a port.

Still, that does not mean that your SSD will work, but at least you can plug and know.

  • Difference between French and British Airport Extreme?

I recently moved to France... all my Apple kit was purchased from the United Kingdom. Are there only differences (outside textbooks) in a provided French Airport Extreme as opposed to buy one in the United Kingdom?

    Thanks for your comments

As I know there is no difference between an English version and a French version. In fact, globally, routers are identical, except for licensed wireless channels and the output of the radio.

Radio output power: maximum 32.5 dBm (varies by country)

Channels for that 1-11, 36-116, 132-140, and 149-165 approved use in the United States and the Canada

Channels 1-13, 36-64 and 100-140 approved for use in Europe and the Japan

Channels 1-13, 36-64 and 149-165 approved for use in Australia, Hong Kong and the New Zealand

Here a nice HowTo on + Win 7 power management +.
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/HTD12017W0001R01.htm

Here you must concentrate on Wireless Adapter Power Saving Mode settings
There are four energy saving / performance parameters. If your Wi - Fi connection is unstable or slow, try selecting a higher performance tuning.

This must be done for power profile that you use mode battery and sector.
I would also recommend to check different settings of the Wlan router.

Check if your laptop disconnect Wlan which has no security (open) and various parameters of WiFi (WPA/WPA2 AES or TKIP) encryption

I also recommend you update the WLan driver (if possible)

What brand you get yours.  There are many good models to choose and also single or dual band Wireless-N, or new types AC wireless if you have a new HQ wireless router.

Here is a site where I sorted the best I could and you can read reviews and get one that suits you best.

If you are still running XP on your d530 make sure you get one that will work with XP.
