D530 sff - freezes jacquard blocked screen - ideas?

Hello

My d530 sff freezes sometimes strange blocked screen - like psychedelic colored chessboard square on a blue background with a pattern. The squares shimmer a bit (which implies some treatment?), but it's totally unrersponsive.  The fault appears randomly and does not seem related to how long the machine has been run, nor his current mission (AFAIK). I can't cause the fault.

It works under xp pro. I reinstalled xp on a different HARD drive and get the same, making me think it is not software/driver.  I've updated the BIOS, run memtest 86 + and premium 95 for hours and tests of material Inquisator and Ultimate Boot CD. They are all very well, making me think of the basic material is OK.  I considered the embedded video, but I can play movies on a network that is pretty intense...  With the lid, nothing in the area becomes too hot to the touch, although some chips and the plugs should be near 60 degrees celcius.  Radiator CPU fine to the touch.

It would be easy to give up and say it's a weird mother board failure, but before I do any ideas?  The software matches the machine has more value than the box so I would rather not throw.

Thanks for your ideas, Mike

I extracted the zip file to install the Intel 14.16 package and installed manually from the Device Manager. Package Intel 14.17 absolutely did not work on every box of d530. This is the root of the problem which I faced instability.

You can identify the controller by checking the properties of devices in the Devices.Look system for x or exclamation next to the drivers points, or if you see instances of "unknown device".

SisoftSandra Lite will also identify the devices installed in the hardware section.

As far as bad capacitors going that visually close should be enough. Search for leakages, bulging, distortion, a brown substance on or near the caps.

So... in your systray, you see an icon of Intel graphics? That's what you should see if the graphic driver went well.

  • Many problems with my D530 SFF, freezing and black monitor (windows xp operating system)

First off I want to start by saying that I am a complete noob when it comes to computer repair. But since it wouldn't kill me if I lost the files on my computer and I intend to get a laptop soon, I'm willing to tinker and try to solve the problem with my office on my own. First on my cpu fan had started to get progressively stronger over the years that my HDD approached capacity. And it seemed that the computer can get more hot than the optimal temperature. At the present time, I think the hard drive is completely filled and maybe ultimately causing my problems. Periodicly, I started getting messages that my virtual memory is too low and that the system could make more room. Now I clean a bit and delete files to make more room. A year and a half, this computer has not connected to the internet that last week I hung it and installed a bunch of updates automatically from windows (seemed to run more quiet and cooler). I also deleted bitdefender and malwarebytes and installed Avira. At the beginning everything worked well for a few days (some lag sometimes, but he had been trolling for a while) and that one day I left the system and did things around the House. When I came back my computer was powered down on its own. When I tried to restart led lights up and the fans and cpu but my monitor does not receive a signal. I turned the computer off checked cords, get rid of the dust in the case and that I tried to restart and got the same thing. After that, I pulled the ram and clean the slots and riser and the cd player and I tried to reboot after the installation. If I remember correctly this time the monitor received the signal, but the system froze on the start menu to hp. After that I stopped and restarted the monitor could not receive the signal. At this point, I decided to leave the 'thing' sit overnight and try again in the morning. I have two-way to ram and Board riser with those of d530 my father and got the same results. After about 6 hours or so I started the computer today and was able to start windows, but when I tried to access the control panel the system froze.  Initially, I thought that my graphics card was out, and I read somewhere else that others had similar problems when their processor is out, but the fact that windows started today left me speechless. It seems I can get liked long in the longer boot process I leave my office to sit down. What is an overheating problem?

    Hello:

Your SFF model has two known issues. The CMT is not the power supply issue.

    1. the power supply explodes and smoke if left unplugged for a long period of time, so do not leave it unplugged. There are videos of this on the internet for your viewing pleasure (say).  I had 2 of them jumping on me. Scares the heck out of you!

    2. the model is released at the time of counterfeiting capacitor.  The symptoms that you are desribing made the diagnosis of bad capacitors.

Check the PC for capacitors sealed or curved around the processor and the motherboard in general.

Here's a good article on who and what to look for. First browse the links on the left and on the right, there are pictures.

If you have bad capacitors, I would just scrap the PC. IMO not worth fixing - what with the bomb ticking power and everything.

  • D530 SFF, cooling problems

I have a D530 SFF which seems to have cooling problems. I upgraded the processor a 2.66 to a HT No 3.2 and updated the bios and had no problems. Cooling problems begin a week later. The CPU fan has started to become very strong. I used a silver thermal agent to try to cool the processor, but it doesn't seem to work. I have to go back to the old processor. Other than the fan, which I intend to replace, I don't have any other ideas to lower the temperature of the unit. Is there another way to cool the unit? Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

I saw the problem on my Iphone 5. The screen was blocked by today ' hui / Notification slide and it may not be closed. I couldn't press any another application and tried to stop but can't always because of blocking screen (today / Notification). How can I close it?

Try a forced reboot. No data is lost during this procedure. Hold on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen.

My iPhone freeze with grey screen, then restart only. Subsequently the Wifi is not available, I have to finish manually restart to be able to use the Wifi. I have restart my internet and network settings, but the problem is still there.

    Hi there Turco911,

Looks like your screen goes gray and then shuts down its own, and you must manually restart to get the wifi to work again. I save your device in iTunes, then restore it like new and verify that it works.

How to clear your iOS device and then set up as a new device or restore from backups

If this is the case, restore your backup either check it still works and just reinstalled software or circumvent the problem in the backup file itself.

If when restored like new the problem persists, I would ask for your phone service:

  • Satellite L405D-11V - freezes and the screen goes black when you watch the video

OK, so I have the Toshiba Satellite L405D-11V, I had a breakdown, basically, the computer freezes at any time and the screen would go black, with the fan and lights still ongoing, this could be at the start, or a few hours using the laptop, so I decided to ring Toshiba technology support and they arranged for my laptop to collect and be expelled for repairs.

I was able to track repairs online via the tracking service and was able to see what they were doing to my laptop, he said that they have ordered a part, it was underway and the repairs are completed.

However, I got the laptop back today, I turn it on, all right, I start using the cell phone that everything is fine, so I decide to watch a video on youtube, and it freezes again, so I turned off now pressed the power button, hoping he wasn't that a large, I turn back to and load the video once again it freezes and the screen goes black again, after that whenever I am watching a video or a game, it causes the computer to crash and freeze as before the repairs. So there is always a mistake, but I'm not sure what to do

Its still under warranty, I bought the laptop from the Comet, but I really don't want to send the laptop for repairs again and find it comes back with the same fault, is it interesting sending distributed, maybe see if the comet will replace the laptop as its still less than a year to buy the laptop, or it'll just be useful to save all the hassle and buy a new laptop? If this fault happened to someone else, I could use you some help, and if someone could shed some light regarding what could be bad?

    Thank you

    Hey Buddy,

You changed something on the configuration after you got your notebook back from repair? You update a driver, or something else?
What operating system you use on your L405D satellite?

To be honest it is really hard to say why it happens because technicians test to check if your laptop is running correctly.

In my opinion you should try to update the display driver. Maybe it's the origin of the problem of s
If this isn't the case, I recommend installing Windows from Toshiba Recovery disk to restore to factory settings. These parameters are pre-tested by Toshiba and should work.

If you still have the problem, you must contact the technicians again. I mean you could track the online repair and according to your assignment, everything worked well during repair, so in my opinion he should t be a problem to contact guys exactly.

  • Satellite Pro 6000 freezes and the screen is weird random pattern

    Hello

I recently bought a SP6000 second-hand advertised as having "graphics problems". After 10 minutes or use the laptop freezes and the screen has a strange random pattern all acorss it. The speakers are also a strange hum. I have to stop the laptop and restart.

I've updated the bios and drivers for card video from the toshiba site, but he always does. Can anyone help?

    Hello

It's not easy to say why this problem occurs. You have purchased a second hand unit. It is possible that your device has a hardware malfunction, but I can't give you an answer why it is happening. I suppose that temperature increases after 10 min of use.
Maybe this could be a problem. It could also be a fault of the motherboard. But these are just suggestions. In my opinion, you should ask the service for detailed information.

  • HP Compaq d530 SFF DIMMs do not recognize. Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit - BIOS version 02.44

    Hello HP community!

I recently got a HP Compaq d530 SFF of the company, where I had my work experience.

Fortunately, I took their offer and took the PC at home, everything was going well until I bought myself some new DIMM from ebuyer.com.

I again for a fact, the computer must DDR 333 MHz, PC2700 and it must be in DIMM format, so I went and bought 3x1Go modules. A few days later they arrived and I have them inserted in the computer, ensuring that two DIMMs was in blue locations and others (I wanted to keep a 256 MB module to) in the black sites.

I have re-inserted power cable and tried to boot the PC, he showed me a BIOS message, showing that the amount of memory has changed, since the last boot. Once the configuration is presented, he acknowledged only the 256 MB module. I then turned off the computer, and then remove the 256 MB module, to see what would happen. So, I restarted the PC, and it gave me an error (not shown) tone. To which I then tried (needles) each DIMM different to see if one of them was vice. They are all gave me the same error tone. Since then, I've been running Windows Vista Home Premium, with 1 GB (4x256MB DIMM).

Maybe someone has a suggestion how to fix this?

I've already updated the version of the BIOS at 02.44 (later I could find).

    Thanks in advance!

    Yours sincerely Simon Cahill

  • Win 7 Support for Intel 865 G (HP D530 SFF) graphics card

I recently upgraded my HP/Compaq D530 SFF model (small footprint) Pc in XP - PRO on Win - 7.  The upgrade was easy and went smoothly.  Update Windows automatically updated the driver ADI AC97 Integratd Digital Audio to worm 5.12.1.5410 and the driver Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet to worm. 10.100.0.0, which are listed by HP as Win-Vista certified.

Unfortunately, it didn't automatically update the driver for the hardware Intel 865 G chipset motherboard graphics.  Instead, it installs a Microsoft "generic" drivers VGA game.  My D530 SFF special is a 2.8 ghz P4 hyperthreading, but according to the HP "Drivers WEB site" (for XP), all versions of the HP D530 has the same graphics hardware. so, my exact submodel should not really matter.

Windows 7 runs strong (at least as well as XP) on this beautiful little PC.  In three days, it has generated NO 'system' or 'application' error log.  Win-7 notification Center, however, annoyingly tells me everytime I open a program of specific graphics of Win - 7 (even the game of Solitaire) that my video card is running in "software rendering" mode with NO hardware acceleration.  Even the Solitaire game runs very slowly, but it runs without error.  Microsoft "DirectX Diagnostic Utility" indicates that DirectX 11 is running correctly on my PC and it can't find ANY error.  It indicates (as I already knew) that hardware acceleration has been turned off.

I tried to run HP softpac "sp31335.exe" to load the version "6.14.10.4396 has ' graphics drivers running on this PC when installing XP.  The softpac ends before doing anything with a message that says "Unsupported OS."  Because softpac graphic drivers are supposed to be 'XPDM"consistent, I suspect they will probably work with Win - 7 (even if they are NOT supported by HP and may have some minor problems).  In any case, I would put a "restore point" and give it a whirl.  What I have to lose, because there is NO data or programs installed on this PC (clean install).  In the worst cases, I just reload Win - 7.

My problem: I can't go to the version "6.14.10.4396 has ' graphics drivers because of Installer softpac (i.e."sp31335.exe").  Is it possible that I can bypass the message 'NOT supported by the OS' and get the graphic drivers to install anyway?

Update: I solved my problem.  Even if HP has structured its executable program SoftPac (sp31335.exe) so that it will not install the version of graphic XPDM driver 6.14.10.4396 on a HP D530 with Windows 7 operating system, Intel made this driver available on its WEB site and is available for download. ZIP format.

During a search, however, I found a newer version of the Intel driver and installed.  The Windows DirectX Diagnostics utility reports NO errors and hardware acceleration has been turned on.  In addition, 96 MB of memory is allocated to graphics.  I ran for a good week with graphics performance at least equal to what was previously done under Windows XP.  Data for this download are the following:

Intel (r) 82865G Graphics Controller (Microsoft Corporation - XDDM)

    Driver provider: Intel Corporation
    Driver version: 6.14.10.4656

Apparently, Intel provided this driver to Microsoft for inclusion on the installation disk of VISTA to 865G family support (and other).  I extracted the following excerpt:

Q3: Intel provides drivers for Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900 (Intel GMA 900) WDDM on platforms based on the Intel 915 Express chipsets?

A3: Intel will provide support for WDDM drivers, starting with the Intel® 945 Express Chipset family and beyond. See question 5 below for a detailed explanation of the WDDM support on platforms based on the Intel® 915 Express chipsets. However, Windows Vista is supported on the Intel® 865 G, 915 G Express desktop PC and 852/855 GM chipsets chipsets mobile running XPDM (XP Display Driver Model) driver included on the Windows Vista install media. Windows Vista will install on these platforms, but advanced features such as Aero in Windows will not be enabled as XPDM drivers do not support Windows AERO.
