Damaged hard drive data recovery

My computer has started in an infinite reboot loop. After all else failed I replaced the reinstalled hard drive master cd. Now I try my old hard drive slave. I installed it and trying to explore my computer tells me I need to format it. I didn't thik I deleted anything on the old hard drive. It comes as Disk (I) Local what software can I use to get down the hard drive damaged my old photos and others.

Thanks for the reply. I found a repair shop who told me they could get all my photos and others out of it for me. At a cost of $25 to $ 75. I cannot yet understand is happening other that some security software that my Bank suggested I have download. Once I downloaded it the safety scanner Microsoft occupy one would not work. After speaking with the support of software (Trusteer report) I managed to uninstall the software, but the next day after uninstall the system just kept in a boot loop. Nothing works. I don't know that I erase what either, so I should be able to get my family photos.

Thanks again

    Hello

I recently tried to help a friend for his Toshiba Satellite A100 data recovery, died on this screen.
I thought this would be a task simply remove the hard drive and put a HARD drive caddy and attaching it to another computer.

    This doesn't seem to work.
Can I put the hard drive in the computer and I can hear start the computer to the top and was able to see it with a LCD display. I was able to delete the data in this way, so we're safe.

My question is why do we seem to remove the disc and see on another computer?
I guess it must be an interface or format the laptop can be used for the recovery section and cannot therefore be seen as a normal drive.

If I could not delete the data because say the motherboard is dead. Is it possible to be able to see the data on another computer.

    > My question is why do we seem to remove the disc and see on another computer?

Of course you can do if you want to use a symbol external USB SATA controller (external HARD drive) you should be able to connect to another computer.
But if the HARD drive is faulty, it will not work.

  • Advice needed on the laptop hard drive data recovery.

    Hello

I was wondering if someone could provide some advice on the recovery of data from an ACER laptop which was held in Microsoft Vista?

The laptop broke due to the 'PIN' inside the power supply's cable breaking. PC World said that it would cost hundreds of pounds to repair.

I have some important files saved on the drive hard (backup files conveniently failed too!) and I'd like back them.

What are my options? Should I seek professional IT useful to do? Or I can try to get files back myself? I currently have a Toshiba laptop that works under XP.

    Hello Chris,

I by removing the hard drive and put it in a USB enclosure. There are 2 types of one HD is IDE the other is SATA. You can buy one from Newegg.com for less than $ 15. You may need to take possession of the disc and its files if you do this. Here are the steps: to take ownership of a file or a folder how to appropriate a file you must have owner of a protected file to access. If another user has restricted access and you are the computer administrator, you can access the file to appropriate.

To take ownership of a file, follow these steps:

    1. Right click on the file that you want to take control and then click Properties.
    2. Click on the Security tab, and then click OK in the security message (if one appears).
    3. Click Advanced, and then click the owner tab.
    4. In the name list, click administrator, or click the Administrators group, and then click OK.
The administrator or the Administrators group now owns the file.

To change the permissions on the file that you now own, follow these steps:

    1. Click on Add.
    2. In the list enter the object names to select (examples) , type the user or group account that you want to have access to the file. For example, type administrator.
    3. Click OK.
    4. In the group or user names list, click the account you want, and then select the check boxes of the permissions you want to assign to this user.
    5. When you're done to assign permissions, click OK.
    6. You can now access the file.

How to capture a record you must have ownership of a protected folder to access. If another user has restricted access and you are the computer administrator, you can access the folder by taking possession.

To take ownership of a folder, follow these steps:

    1. Right click on the folder that you want to take control and then click Properties.
    2. Click on the Security tab, and then click OK in the security message (if one appears).
    3. Click Advanced, and then click the owner tab.
    4. In the name list, click your user name, click administrator if you are logged in as administrator, or click the Administrators group. If you want to take ownership of the contents of the folder, select the check box Replace owner of subcontainers and objects .
    5. Click OKand then click Yes when you receive the following message is displayed:
You are not allowed to read the contents of directory folder name. Do you want to replace the the directory permissions with permissions granting you full control?

All permissions will be replaced if you click Yes. Note folder_name is the name of the folder you want to take charge.

    6. Click OK, and then reapply the permissions and security settings that you want for the folder and its contents.

  • Installed hard drives data recovery serial

As many other users on these boards, by X 205 won't start.

My question: How can I recover the data on my hard drive, since there are two of them?

I ran a search to find all the files I wanted (*.jpg in this case) and the search came back with hundreds of files (pictures) that I'm trying to recover... but it wont let me open them.
I guess because the disks are installed in this machine series, somehow, I need to find a way to read them both to access these files?

    Any help is appreciated!

Remove each disk of the machine, connect using 2.5 SATA box at the other PC as external device and you should have access to all stored data.

If you can recover data from a damaged disc depends on what the
the damage. But in general you can not. In most cases, your only recourse
is to bring or send the drive to a professional file recovery company.
This kind of service is very expensive and may or may not work your

  • How can I make a DVD of the restore hidden in my external hard drive partition recovery

How can I make a DVD of the restore hidden in my external hard drive partition recovery because I want to recover my toshiba satellite L840 that does not respond directly to my hard drive so I put my laptop to an external HARD drive and then I want to copy a DVD recovery partition

Your question is a bit confusing, you can boot the laptop at all? Have you tried booting in safe mode, you can make a recovery DVD set from there, the folder Toshiba.

With the drive in the Toshiba, you should be able to use a F, F10, F11, or F12 key to activate the installation from the partition hidden started upward.

Otherwise, you can contact Toshiba, and with the model of the product id number and the laptop for Windows, you can buy a set of disks.

    mid-2013

So I thought to do a factory restore and reinstall windows, but because this machine has been shipped in mid-2013, it has been bundled with windows 8 and 8.1 not. I cannot recover my system with the options of windows using the boot disk, I received when purchasing.

Or reinstall the system via the DVD starts works. Installation could not see my hard drives correctly or missing drivers.

Now, I did a system restore (Yes surprisingly has started up normally this morning) but I am always a little scared and would have preferred a clean install.

Decided to buy Alienrespawn Premium to try to restore my original recovery Image and reinstall the original windows 8 from scratch. But during the selection of these options, I get the message that the image is missing or incomplete. When I try to select another HARD drive he asks to insert a disk external HARD at least 100 GB on this subject. Is there an internal HDD option and select put this system up? I've got 2 750 GB SATA HARD drive and the other has been completely formatted for backup reasons...

Could someone please help me and tell me what to do in this case?

A clean install would be the best way to go, but I tried everything I found on google in communities and to but still do not get them to factory reset my PC...

    Thanks in advance

    Boempatat

My warranty has expired in order to request a backup CD is not going to work I'm afraid...

I have a cd provided dell with the laptop, but as said my laptop has been delivered with WIN8 not earned 8.1

I can't do a clean install, as described in the article, because it tells me to load the required drivers and there is a missing part so that my cd is in the laptop...

I need to find a way to recover the original recovery on the HARD drive in order to reinstall the complete system with the factory settings...

Please tell me how to do this.

It looks like your BIOS may be on the RAID.

    The value of the BIOS:

    SATA Mode = AHCI Mode

  • Question Equium L350 - 10L new HARD drive and recovery

    Hi all.

My L350 - 10L has a HD death. Just does not start. I tried the HARD drive recovery system, but after it formatted the HD I got a message saying that the image file is corrupted. I removed the HD and connected to my desktop to save personal files (before I tried the recovery) and there were real issues reading the disc. I got most of the documents & E-mail eventually (had to run a lot of check disk runs using a 3rd party disk partition software). I think that the drive is actually physically damaged somehow.

I'll need to buy a new set of Toshiba recovery disks (too long a story to explain, but it's basically my fault), but my main question is this: if I buy a new HD still recovery disks to restore my system to its original state even if it isn't the original HD? There, I guess I mean will the recovery discs recreate the 3 partitions - WinRE (Hidden), Vista C: and D: data and set the correct boot and information industries? And I suppose that a secondary question who would be the HD should be the same size as the original one (120 GB said / 111GB actually)?

    Thanks in advance.

The Toshiba Recovery disk will define the laptop (and HARD drive), the factory settings.
This means that the recovery DVDs will format the whole HARD drive and it will create the partitions and all the rest as on the first day of purchase.

    I hope I could bring a precision...

  • Hard drive failure; Recovery Console error

Yesterday my computer was at the peak of its performance. Shut it down normally, defragged every day and no blue screen in 5 years. Then BAM! It says "the following file is missing or corrupt: C:\WINDOWS\system32\Config\system" before even starting up screen lights up. So I searched the Internet for answers on my laptop and found the recovery via the installation CD Console. I will, and I do a CHKDSK/p. He said unrecoverable damage or permanent, which is confusing because it is 6 months old (replaced HD because the former was too small). So I try to use the CD command that was given by most of the sites, then I get an error message saying "the path or file specified is not valid" for anything I type in. Can someone help me please, it's too sudden and weird.

Your hard drive is dead. If you want to get data off of it, the only thing to do is now to send it to a professional data recovery company. I use a Drive Savers for my clients. It is quite expensive, running anywhere from $500 to $ 3,500 with an average of $2,700. Some insurance companies cover data recovery so check with yours.
