Dameged areas on laptop TOSHIBA MK8026GAX HARD drive

Hello

I need help. I have 0.6% bad sectors on my USB HDD (hd air). I tried HDD regenerator and more programs, but they do not recognize USB HDD.

Please help me.
Sorry for my English is not very good.

If I were you, I would send the HARD drive if you have still any warranty. You can also use the freeware tool 'UBCD4Win' which should have some repair tools that may recognize your USB - HDD.

But if you ask me, honestly, I wouldn stress to repair disk and security of this part of the option to get a new HARD drive.

Welcome them

    my model is vgn-cr323.

    Thanks in advance

Let me provide you with General information on how you can transfer data from your computer to an external drive.

To transfer the data, plug the USB cable into the correct port. Usually, your computer will know that he has a new disc attached and a pop box up will warn you. It will scan to determine what to do with the new connection and your computer will assign a drive letter (for example, drive G: and so on.) This will allow you to transfer data to the external hard drive just like you would move files on your internal hard drive.

Once you have the USB cable plugged into your computers port (and the other end plugs into the external drive) you can now start to save files you want on the external hard drive.

Open the item (s) or folder (s) you want to transfer or save on your external hard drive. There are two ways to save external hard disk 1). If you have only one or two things to save, you can open each item, click on file / record under... and choose the letter/drive (for example, drive G corresponding to that of your external hard drive, click Save.) This he recorded on the external hard drive.

FWIW, do not change the extensions of file simply by copying the files to an external drive.

  • Vista does not allow access to my Toshiba USB hard drive

    Hello!

My Toshiba external hard drive that worked perfectly well in XP does not work on my visit Home Premium. The error message says something about. INI files.

I've seen previous discussions about this problem by suggesting to download the right drivers for Vista under the following address

Options of-> Options USB-> USB HDD-> USB HDD black + silver

... but these drivers no longer seem to be available.

Can someone please help me find the right drivers? Thank you very much!

    Best,

    Sandra

    Hello

I have no idea of (external)? HARD drive drive do you have average but if the HARD drive does not work under Vista OS, then that means that the driver/software is not compatible with Vista OS.

A part of software for external hard drives, you'll find the European Toshiba driver page:
Options of-> disk-> disk & HDD adapters devices

Maybe you should check this again!

  • TOSHIBA external hard drive does not work with Mac

Finally, I used my Toshiba external hard drive on my MacBook Pro in December. I want to keep all my photos, and I've always been able to add new photos to it and delete the 'old' out of it. I plugged it today to add more photos, and it is not letting me. I went to the sharing & preferences and he read that when he used to say, read and write. I went to the info, and I noticed, it says that the format is Windows. Why he did change and why can't I use it? Can I fix it? Thanks in advance

Looks like you have formatted the NTFS drive that is read-only for OS X. Copy data to another drive, then partition and format the drive correctly for use on a Mac.

  • need a laptop keyboard and hard drive HP product number

    Hi all!!!

My laptop keyboard and hard drive does not properly and I need to replace the two points. but I do not know the exact number of the product of the keyboard and the disk hard drive.  A knowledge of the product number please help me.

Product model: HP Pavilion g6 - 1011TU Notebook

    Product number: LQ893PA

    Thank you

    Migas

You will find figures for the product here in the service of maintenance & guide for the laptop G6.  As far the hard drive will I highly recommend that you use SATA instead of SATA2 or SATA3 for the best compatibility with the interface of disk on the system board controller.

  • Have a computer dell laptop. replaced the hard drive; tried to install my Windows XP and my product key is not accepted. I was wondering why and how do to accomplish this task.

My dell laptop had the hard drive replaced.  My son, who knows computers, installed the new hard drive.  Then he tried to install my Windows XP Professional software - when it came time to put the product key #, it was not accepted.  It's authentic.  The product key is: * removed *.

There no mention of this issue in section outages or other information provided in the booklet provided.  Can you help me with this problem?

The license key and product type must match (XP Home vs XP Pro;)  (and OEM license vs the retail license).  If it's a Dell computer and you get the product key from a sticker on the case, then there is likely a version of Windows XP OEM this product key.  If you install Windows XP from a retail installation disk, then the types of licenses will not match.  You will need to use the license that accompanies the retail installation disc or you will need to contact Dell for an OEM installation disc to go with the license on your sticker case.

  • I want to recover the data on the hard drive using a laptop as a hard drive.

Original title: Using a laptop as a hard drive...

On a MAC, I can plug my laptop into my office with a firewire port to access the hard drive on the laptop without the OS being ran on the laptop.  Windows Vista has such a thing?  If so, how do you go?  The hard drive on my Windows laptop fails and we want to try and recover the data, by hooking it to a desktop as shown above with the MACs.

    Thank you in advance!

    Hello

"There is no way to access the hard drive when there is no operating system and if the hard drive is connected terribly."

However, you can remove the hard drive from the laptop and connect it to the office with a case of hard disk that comes with the USB cable.

  • How to reinstall Vista on PC Toshiba laptop with new hard drive?

Hard drive from my Toshiba laptop of sisters died as well as its internal fan and she asked me to fix it, well I got a new hard drive and replaced the dead with a new internal fan and works perfectly fine with a Linux Live CD. However, she had previously Vista Home Premium installed on it, and there was no installation CD, just 2 recovery discs. Now, I was wondering where I could get an iso image of vista UNACTIVATED so I can use his legitimate product for her key. (I also have a week to achieve and I repair to other computers as well, which are not a problem, so time is of the essence)

Also, I have no money and can't afford to get a Best Buy installation CD, as the operating system has already been installed on the laptop/OEM computer. If that would be legal so getting an online and burning a black CD and use it to get Vista on this new hard drive of his?

In addition, I know how to install its drivers, and upgrade from SP1 to SP2 via Windows Update Manager, all I need is a vista installation CD Home premium to get his computer upward and execution of how she wants to.

I use macbook aluminum. When I insert my Toshiba Portable External Hard Drive 320 GB (ext. I accidentally said yes and allow him to erase all information from the hard drive and now my only computer can read the disc hard and another laptop / pc can't read.

So where can I re-download or reinstall back my Toshiba Portable External Hard Drive 320 GB system information (ext. HDD 2.5 ") 3 so that other computer can read?

Please help me, bought just for 2 days.

    Hello

I m not sure but I think to me it s no longer tied to your laptop and has nothing to do with Toshiba. Maybe you use the file system that can be read by other computers (Windows)?

If you connect to the Windows computer, you can see the disk in disk management?

  • HP laptop - 15-g227wm: Hard Drive question, in need of a solution

First of all, I don't know if the version of Windows running was of 32-bit or 64-bit.

The laptop in question is my mother and randomly, he started to become unresponsive in the middle of the night.  She had not dropped it and only uses the laptop to surf the internet and play some Facebook games.

I went to the start menu and asked the laptop to run diagnostic systems.  In two minutes, he told me that the disk check hard short DST was not, by giving the code 9SNJ3G-7MP84W-XD7WL1 - T 60, 703.

As it is a hard drive problem, I hope that, at the very least, it will take replace the hard drive, if not buy another laptop.

The problem is the following; the laptop was purchased at a Wal-Mart.  It was the display model they had, as it was the last one in stock, and Wal-Mart could not locate the box for the laptop at the time of purchase.  We have no user manual and no CD to reinstall Windows (the laptop had 8.1 the purchase, and we took advantage of the free for 10 update when it was available).

Please let us know our best options.  Thank you for your time.

    Hello:

While I can't tell you precisely what that code means, yes the the bottom line is the hard drive has suffered an accident and needs to be replaced.

Initially, the PC came with 64-bit W8.1.  HP does not support this model for 32-bit operating systems.

Here is the service manual for this model.

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c04886216

Removing and replacing the drive hard in this model is a daunting task, but if you are up to it, see Chapter 6 for R & R procedures.

If the laptop is still under warranty, you can get HP to replace the drive under warranty.

If this isn't the case, you're on your own.

You can order W8.1 recovery media for the laptop computer from the link below, or clean reinstall 10 64-bit windows on the new drive from the link below it (media creation tool).  You can clean install W10 for free, without a product key, given that the laptop was already legally upgraded to W10.

  • How can I reinstall Windows 8 in my laptop if the hard drive broke down?

I have a new laptop with windows 8 is installed (product key is embedded in the bios I think and no sticker license more on this subject).

    I just want to know

    1. How can I reinstall Windows 8 if the hard drive broke down

and I don't have any medium of recovery and the warranty is expired

    2. is there any media can make me reinstall my windows 8?

for example using the windows disk 8 OEM that can be brought in computer stores

I know that windows 7 can.

    3. when I use other media to reinstall windows 8 in my laptop, it will ask for the product key during the installation begins.

I'm looking for the key to the installation?

I can in the future, faced with this situation. I hope someone can help me.

    Best regards
    Joe Man

I think most of the technicians know how to use a recovery partition, but the real problem for the recovery of Windows 8, it is each brand (oem) will need an installation disc for their particular model. We can install a Dell windows 7 cd on any PC OEM and after doing the updates, it will itself attest. With windows 8 you can even not windows to be installed on the PC if the disk you put in does not support security in the BIOS.  In other words, you need the proper (HP, Dell, etc.) model numbers version of Windows 8 recovery CD similarly be able to install it.
If you are a system integrator or building a PC for yourself I think that the normal OEM cd should work as long as you you know number OEM KEY or product key. Its the BRAND PC which will be a pain in the buttocks in the future for technicians who have to reinstall Windows 8 on a VIRGIN hard drive AGAIN.
