Usually an update of the BIOS of your models support page will create the files in HP_Tools. For the rest, you probably need to reinstall using recovery discs. Phone HP for those. "Choose your country and then search for ' call HP" option to the page with the info.

    Hello

You use the D: Partition of recovery in 3 different ways to reinstall the operating system.

    1. you press a particular key or key combination at startup, F10, F11, Alt + F10 etc. to begin the process of recovery in new condition (as you bought) in the event of system failure.

    2. start > programs > find software from the manufacturer of your computer > look for a recovery method

    3. you can do recovery disk to reinstall the operating system in case of hard drive failure.

This will save you the purchase of the computer manufacturer's recovery disks.

The manufacturer will advise you on the options

    See you soon.

How to transfer data from laptop to external hard drive?

    my model is vgn-cr323.

    Thanks in advance

Let me provide you with General information on how you can transfer data from your computer to an external drive.

To transfer the data, plug the USB cable into the correct port. Usually, your computer will know that he has a new disc attached and a pop box up will warn you. It will scan to determine what to do with the new connection and your computer will assign a drive letter (for example, drive G: and so on.) This will allow you to transfer data to the external hard drive just like you would move files on your internal hard drive.

Once you have the USB cable plugged into your computers port (and the other end plugs into the external drive) you can now start to save files you want on the external hard drive.

Open the item (s) or folder (s) you want to transfer or save on your external hard drive. There are two ways to save external hard disk 1). If you have only one or two things to save, you can open each item, click on file / record under... and choose the letter/drive (for example, drive G corresponding to that of your external hard drive, click Save.) This he recorded on the external hard drive.

  • The data stored on the external hard drive recovery

    Hello

Recently, my PC got corrupted and told me to save my data on an external hard drive before doing a reformat on my PC. In fact, all my data was saved when I update. A few months ago, in may 2014, I backed up my data in the drive C under the section 'My Document ' and also registered in my external hard drive as a backup. Thus, in June, July & the first 2 weeks of August 2014, I updated some data and stored in the 'My documents' file in the C drive. My PC got corrupted last week and told me to do a reformat as a last resort. Before that, I saved all my data (especially my Word & Excel) for my external hard drive to the file 'My Document '. After that the reformatting was made, I downloaded all required applications and try to remove my Excel file, which has the external hard drive, but the data were NOT the updated file, but the file that has been saved 3 months ago!

So, how can I recover my file up to date which was recorded August 12, 2014, supposedly on my external hard drive, or could it be hidden somewhere in the "C drive"?

    Help, please!

    Thank you!

    Kind regards

  • Cannot load data from floppy E or F drive on HP Desktop

Help, please!  I have a HP Desktop running Windows 7 Ultra.  When I Start Menu---> computer, a green band appears at the top of the screen.  It takes at least five 5 minutes for Ribbon going green all the way through the 'x' on the right side.  So, sometimes (but not always) the computer configuration icons appear.  If I loaded a CD into drive E or F, this player icon on the screen, too.  Then, when I right click and select Properties, the size of the files on the CD appear.  But, if I have 'open' the CD, or abandon the min-menu left click on E, the Green band drive icon reappears at the top of the screen.  After ten 10 minutes and just before the Green band as the spread across the screen the 'x' on the right, he's suspended.  Nothing happens then, except for the impulse of the Green band which never reached the end of the Ribbon.  At this point, I have to drop out of the endless loop and start all over again.  And once again.  And then... you get the picture.  Either way, it is immaterial that I put the disc in the drive E or F, same problems.  Similarly, it makes any type of CD I install on the drive.  I tried all permutations of CD + / and DVD +/-in the readers or the other and both, in the order and at the same time.  No go.  Any help would be more/popular

    Hello

To help you better, please answer these questions.

1 when was the last time it was working fine?

    2. what happens when you try to load the data from the floppy E or F drive?

I suggest you follow the provided methods to solve the problem.

Method 1: Open the resolution of Performance problems

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows7/open-the-performance-Troubleshooter

Method 2: Optimize Windows 7 for better performance

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows7/optimize-Windows-7-for-better-performance

Method 3: Check the clean boot.

Perform a clean boot to determine if any 3rd party service is causing the issue:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: After you perform troubleshooting steps to clean boot, follow the steps in the link to start the computer to Normal startup mode.

As you mentioned the Windows crashes, I suggest you follow the method provided

Method 4: Windows hangs or freezes

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/2681286

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

  • How to enlarge the Acer recovery drive?

    Hello!

Can I enlarge the partition Recovery of Acer?

When I got to disk management and right click, it says that helps.

If you did not plant recovery disc you must not change the recovery partition. If you there is a good posibility recovery no longer works. If you have done the factory recovery disc and tested to make sure they work, you can change or remove the recovery partitions. When you perform a restore from the factory with the disks, partitions will be recovered too.

  • Recently lost data because of the "Windows Recovery" XP virus

    Greetings,
I have recently all my data because of the virus: "Windows Recovery. When I go to start, programs. everything is gone, also no photos, videos or music. I tried to restore the system to a different date, but it won't let me.  Moreover, the basket is empty. I removed the virus using "Malwarebytes... but impossible to recover the files. Please, any advice >
    Eric

    Hi Tropicguy,

Like JoseIbarra said, it could be that the virus has caused your folders/files/programs show hidden.  I suggest checking to see if they are there, after doing the following:

    I hope this helps!

  • Received error code 0 x 80070070, little space on the D: Recovery drive is full.

Original title: 10 upgrade of Windows 8 Windows

I get error code 0 x 80070070. On Recovery D: low disk space

    Disk is full.

    What should I do?

None of the answers I had had nothing to do with the question, so I'll answer it myself.

It is a problem of HP. The solution lies on their site here:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03737312

I did it and it worked perfectly. The warning of no do not remove the necessary recovery files was a moot point. The system wouldn't let me not in all cases.

    You are advised to:

Your D: Recovery Drive is should not be used for backups, defragmented, etc..

There are backups on an external hard drive.

To fix any problems that have occurred with the D: Partition Recovery, you will need to contact your computer manufacturer (HP) to remove everything that was added on.

  • Can the Win8 recovery drive and the System Image be stored on the same device?

I intend to create a windows 8 recovery on my USB HDD drive.  Then, I want to create a System Image using the file Win7 recovery tool, but put on the same HARD drive, so that I don't have 2 devices.  Normally, I believe the recovery drive utility fits on a 256 MB USB key, but why not co-exist with the system image files?

    Hello

Yes, you are right. To store an image of the system, the disc must be in NTFS format. Please refer to the information on the following link; If it's for Windows 7, the information is true for Windows 8 as well.

Back up your programs, files and system settings

    Hope this information is useful.

  • Move data from iPaq 1945 for iPaq 211 Enterprise and Windows 8 for laptop

My iPaq 2795 crashed recently, leaving me dependent on my iPaq 1945 earlier... Yes, laugh if you want {chuckling}.

SO I must to replace both and am interested in the iPaq 211 Enterprise Handheld, to do.

The types of 1945 and my 2795 files are synchronized with the 211 company?  I'm hoping to sync my address book with my new handheldl and my laptop, which runs on Windows 8 (ugh).

I don't want to retype my entire 20 years worth of contacts!

    Thank you kindly,

    Linda

The data format that is used throughout all these iPAQ is quite similar, so this won't be a problem, but you won't be able to synchronize your Outlook data from a windows machine 8 from windows mobile device Center is not completely compatible with Windows 8 operating system and Microsoft had no intention to make it work.

  • Missing data when running the PC recovery

    Original title: Urgent!

Computer illiterate, I am, when the recovery of the PC was on my screen, I thought I SHOULD provide answers to the questions that were in front of me, so with that, I changed the name of the computer, etc..  The computer went to do his thing, when finished, I went to connect & becomes quickly devastated.  Everything I knew she had changed!  All files, documents, photos, music, etc were more visible.  I don't want to use the word "gone", I hope I can get information to quickly resolve this nightmare.  So, how can I go back to the way my computer was before PC recovery questionnaire?  (I think now, after the damage is done, that I was not attentive & I could have, should have, accepted the information that was right in front of me & continuous) & No, I can't use "System Restore" that the computer has now to October ONLY.  When I click on the arrow for the previous month, it does nothing, everything continues to show "October 2012.  HELP ME PLEASE!  I recently transferred more photos on the computer, some of them for my daughters prom & I'm so hate myself right now.  More than usual.  Thank you for your time.

If you have done what we could call a 'factory reset' and, like Richard, I suspect that you have. If you're lucky, a program called Recuva has been reported elsewhere on this forum as being useful to retrieve the data in these circumstances, but there is no guarantee a recovery of data, not even partially.

As Richard says, also, the only other possibility is expensive professional data recovery services.

Regardless of the route decide you, less you use the PC before any recovery attempt, more chances you will get something back.

  • When I export from Illustrator the quality is pretty low and pixelated.

When I work with a logo, and when I try to export it, in all possible formats and sizes, it seems incredibly pixelated. I have attached a tif and jpg in two very different sizes and you can see here how it's pixelated, nobody knows what's going on? He drives me crazy...

    logo-ihrehypo-re-design_final2_100.jpglogo-ihrehypo-re-design_final2_cleared.jpg

The problem you are having is that your little logo becomes noticeable anti-aliasing where the edges of your objects are not exactly aligned with a grid of pixels. In the image below, I created the object on the left at a size of 19 by 13px, but the preview but underlying pixel grid (see > overview pixelated), shows that all the edges have applied anti-aliasing because it focuses on pixels instead of the tail with the grid. (In the info panel, you can see that the X values and are 425,5 and 189,5.) I duplicated the object and put it right so it aligns with the pixel grid that eliminates then any anti-aliasing, because all sides are aligned with the grid.

So the only way you are going to get a little more beautiful this logo version when you export it to a raster image is to make adjustments to the smaller size so it aligns with the pixel grid, but that may not be an option because then you want to change the logo. I wish I had better news for you, but a lot of small text in raster images usually does not work well.
