  Maybe your mail order doesn't like that you first specify the address and follow that by - c. cc-address? This help if you change that?

  Apart from that, I think you run the risk of ruining your line number for sed with the running grep.

• Scripts have disappeared from the Scripts window

  At work, I have 3 CS. This morning, I opened the window of the script to run a script & there is here, not even the samples. I opened the appropriate files, and Yes, the scripts were here.

  Reset did not help.

  Could the actual registration of the scripts window must be in an XML file that has been corrupted or deleted?

• don't read full of binary data from the db

  I have a strange problem. I read the binary data (png images) of database through cold fusion. everything worked, but now it has stopped working. the exact same script works on another server and the images appear correctly. but on the other server, it works more (from one hour to the next..). data base is the same. other data in the database are correctly read. but binary data may not be read or not completely. images remain blank, because only a header is created.
  I managed to convert the binary data, which are read for string and display it on both servers. Result, on one server, its site more of one and a half on the non working server, it's just more or less an information line.
  any ideas what could be the problem? kind of time-out due to the length of the data?

  Hoping that this can be easily done without the need for scripting.

  I'm working on creating a form of proposal. There are a few areas where I would like the first instance of an editable field, but the rest would be locked so that they are even taken out of the tab order.

  Example: On the first page, I have a field for the name of the company. This field is reproduced in the pages of the proposal. Each field has the same name. So all data have concluded one of them are dealt to each of them.

  Ideal solution: Front page field is editable, and is where data is entered. "All the following fields are defined as 'read only' and take their 'master' field data" so someone can't make a change to this form, for example, the third page and have this error repeated throughout the document.

  Is this possible?

  The analysis of string function takes a "Format string" on top (with the right button of the function and choose Help, which explains all the entries).  In particular, you can say 'Give me two numbers separated by a tab' and the output will be two numbers (whole or floating, depending on the chosen format).  In particular, %d\t%d specifies a decimal integer, , whole decimal.

  I need to pass a variable of data type of cell of a MATLAB script node in LabView to another, but the cell is not listed as a data type 'exit' in the script node.

  Is it possible to do without converting them into a 2D array?  Each column of my cell has a different number of lines...

  Too bad...

  Rather than use a typical LabView, I just say

  assignin ('basic', ' varname', varvalue ");

  in the first script and varname called from the second node to get my cell.

  Easy... duh leaving here if anyone has the same issue in the future.

  If you open the finder example in Labview, there are examples of code bars.  They are under the Modules and Toolkits > Vision > Applications.  You should find two examples of how read bar codes.

  UH... Let's get a few things right if you don't mind.

  Your class is valid, as you say, you tested with Eclipse, which is a fair way to go. You have two methods, 'main' and a private static "verifyCC" returning an int value. Good. Now, if I take a quick glance at your UCCX script I see some interesting things there. First, you create a new variable of type ClassCheckCC, with the name CheckCC and with null as default. Cool, that's like saying JRE of UCCX for "Hey, let's use a new variable of type ClassCheckCC", or more precisely:

  ClassCheckCC CheckCC = null;

  Alrighty. Then, you kind of try to value of isValid saying CheckCC (ccnumber). Why it's wrong: in Java, it does:

  isValid = CheckCC (ccnumber);

  You see already? The above code actually means:

  isValid = null (ccnumber); Not valid!

  CheckCC is null.

  Let's try a slightly different approach:

  You may have noticed that I made a few adjustments. I renamed ClassCheckCC to the simpler CheckCC, I changed the method of verifyCC to the public modifier. It's actually a great example of a utility class where you have not all instances, so we should let JDK code optimization.

  Using this approach, we don't need to create instances of the object - that they are unnecessary in this case. Simply call CheckCC.verifyCC (String aString) is quite sufficient. We can, as I will demonstrate, but then again, why should create us instances of the class each time a script is run.

  The following three constructs are valid (assuming that I have created the necessary variables: val, validCCNumber, and invalidCCNumber):

  Valid value = CheckCC.verifyCC (validCCNumber)

  Pure and simple. I simply call the static verifyCC method on the CheckCC class with a parameter.

  The valid value = {return CheckCC.verifyCC (invalidCCNumber) ;}

  I just padded the single line above with braces, creating a block of code, point comma and the return keyword became necessary.

  The valid value = {CheckCC instance = new CheckCC(); return instance.verifyCC (validCCNumber) ;}

  Now, it's quite redundant but functional example. I created an instance of the CheckCC class, named instance and then ran the method verifyCC on the newly created class instance. Once again, it is a situation when a developer is boring and has nothing better to do than to create instances of the class and sending them to the eternal bytefields.

  How can I remove these "scripts" or whatever they are.

  It is so annoying, I removed them from the script folder and now they stop working and will not disappear. I tried to remove all scripts, reinstall AE, reset back to factory settings. Nothing works and I can't find anything online. Help please!

  

  Those look like some old Digital Anarchy 3D Assistants, who are a combination of plug-ins and scripts. Turn and that sort of thing. They can be in the Adobe's ' Common' folder.

  Hi all! After playing with Photoshop scripts, I'm now playing with AE also, and in my first test I stuck to find the path of scripts from the script itself.

  In Photoshop, there was this piece of code that someone in the forum scripts Photoshop kindly shared:

  But this line does not work in After Effects because there is no variable app.path (very funny, I thought that Photoshop and After Effects share the same basic app variables) and the required path "find" does not go in AE (I think that "$$$" means nothing to her).

  This script shows some examples that you can try. The first part shows a way to get the record in that of the running script is located. The second gets the main AE app folder but I do not know if appFolder runs on Windows (you still need to add \Scripts on/SupportFiles/Scripts on Win or Mac).

• Script runs differently from the ESTK and Scripts panel

  Recently I talked to a problem with one of my scripts, which packets of identity papers: a guy wrote to me that when it run ESTK, the script works fine, but when it is run from the Scripts panel - creating empty folders, does nothing more but an error (there is an error handler in the script that records the errors in a text file) :

  Error: Invalid value for parameter "versionComments' event 'packageForPrint '. Expected String but received TRUE.

  It's strange, because I do not use this optional parameter in the script.

  BTW, on my computers, it works well, both ID and ESTK.

  Someone has experienced this problem? Any ideas on why this is happening?

  It probably has its version scriptPreferences value 5. To make your script foolproof, you probably set the scriptPreferences (and restore them when we have the gift of being nice...)

  BTW, kAppVersion = parseFloat (app.version) is a more readable form to get the version number...

  However, yesterday we removed an input parameter in a workflow of some (and also deleted from the script) and now it fails.

  Before the change, the input parameters were: vmName (String), vmUser (String), vmPassword (SecureString)

  After the change, the input parameters are: vmName (String), vmPassword (SecureString)

  In the script, I can add statements to prove that the password has a value and that it is past.

  In the workflow, I've added a task containing a script that is executed first and shows that the value of the vmPassword input parameter is empty.

  The output xml from script of appeal shows also that the value parameter is 'lost '...

  See the definition of setting correct for vmName on lines 11 and 12.

  See a definition of parameter incorrect for vmPassword on line 13 - the part missing "secret < SecureString > < \SecureString >...
