Date and time keep needing to be changed

I set the date and time and save them, but although I turned off correctly every time, when I use the computer, then the date was restored on January 1, 2006, and I have to reset it again.  I also download Adobe Flash 10 whenever I use YouTube.  What I am doing wrong?  Thank you very much

Looks like your CMOS battery has failed.

It's a room-size, trickle battery in your motherboard that keeps your system settings when your computer is turned off.

It costs about $5 to replace.

I doubt this time and date setting BIOS does affect Windows activation time Windows doesn t affect it in my opinion. There must be another reason for this problem.
You can activate Windows by phone?

Normally the date and time in the BIOS can change you if you mark the date or time, and then press on + or - to change this. Sometimes you have to press PageDown/to the top according to the model of BIOS or laptop.
Usually in the configuration of the BIOS you will find a brief info how changing the values.

How can I change the date and time in the system restore? When I try to create a new restore point, I can't change the date and time, the system automatically date and time in.

System Restore will always set the date and time of any restore point created at the effective date and time of the machine.

If you want to restore your computer to a date and an hour earlier, you must select restore from a restore point that was created at the earlier time.  This article explains how.

  • Date and time system continues to change each time the system starts.

I noticed that the time and date of my home PC gets changed every time the system is booted. The default date is set for Jan. 2008, when in fact it should be July 2014.

Also, my PC became slow death. I use Windows 7 on 1 GB of RAM, 250 GB PC. I used last my home PC 2 years back, but there has always been someone to use it.

It shows the OS disk to 7 GB of free, when in fact I never installed or anything unnecessary stored on the disk of BONE; Whatever unnecessary programs were there, I uninstalled them recently, keeping just a few essential ones. After uninstalling, it shows to 7 GB of free, when in fact it should be more than that.

I use Avast anti-virus, which I think is unnecessary, that its not to protect my PC and as other programs, too, is quite dead slow.

The system is infected by viruses? Manually, I checked the system for viruses and clean the system of all unnecessary and, program files, but I'm still not sure whether it is a virus or a PC problem.

I am a COMPUTER analyst, and's just done it 2 days that I use my PC at home. I could format my PC, or where applicable be buy Windows 8 with a new processor.

    Please advise.

    Thank you and best regards,

    Ralph Davidson.

    Hello

You really need a minimum of at least 2GBs of RAM to run Windows 7 well enough.

As you have only 1 GB of RAM, which seems to be one of the reasons why it is slow.

Increase the physical RAM or try ReadyBoost:

Looks like you have some problems.

"How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the files on system missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7"

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

Use the (SFC.exe) System File Checker tool to determine which file is causing the problem and then replace the file. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click principally made programs, Accessories, right-click guest, and then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click allow.
    2. Type the following command and press ENTER:
      sfc/scannow

The sfc/scannow command analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

  • HP 8600 by USING WINDOWS XP PRO - HOW to REMOVE ADMIN BLOCKS ON the CHANGE SETTINGS of DATE and TIME.

MOST OF MY SETTINGS IS "LOCKED". DO NOT KNOW WHY. HOW CAN I REMOVE THE LOCKS TO ZERO HOUR, DATE, ETC?

Locking the settings would be monitored through the EWS (built-in web server) to the printer.  The lockout is really designed for printers Officejet to prevent others to perform printer changes that could affect the behavior of the printer.  For example, to keep the date and time the Fax value see him exactly receive time.

Get the IP address of the printer by pressing the network icon at the top of the screen.

Enter this IP address into the address bar of a web browser on a computer.  Printer status page should load.  If you receive warnings of certificate, choose the option that allows you to continue anyway.

Click settings and then go into settings of the administrator on the left.  Many of the features of the façade are ordered here.  Make sure everything is checked except control lock.  Once it is defined, click on apply.

Power off the printer for at least 1 minute and power then turn it on again to force the new setting to take effect.

You can also try to set the date and time under preferences on the left of the settings page, but it seems that the problem of locking is more widespread than the date and the hour.

The Admin settings page should look like this screenshot when it is set up the way it should be.
