Date system resets to 2002 after a stop during the night

I have a Dell Dimension 4550 with XP operating system purchased in 2002. Computer work fine except after having turned it off during the night resets date and time system in 2002. After resetting in the configuration screen, it will keep the date until I stop from one day to the next one up to 2002. The error message only in the file is The Core Services service AG could not start due to the following error. The system does not find the specified path, how can I fix this problem

When the system date and time are incorrect, then is a good indication that the battery on the motherboard needs to be replaced.

the battery from the motherboard is also known under the name of the cmos battery and the bios battery.

There are instructions on the net how to replace.

most of the time its pretty simple to replace and the battery can be purchased where they sell watch batteries.

You can remove the battery and get the model number or search for it in the manual of your computer or your manual online computers at its place of origin.

    Hello

Since I started using crossed on iOS 9.3.1 with my iPad it seems to stop by himself at night and it takes a difficult start (button / stop + front button) to revive. How can I fix?

    Thank you, Pierre

    Hello boileaup,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

I understand that your iPad is apparently power off or become unresponsive the next day.   As a first step, I suggest that you reinstall iOS by following the instructions below.

    1. Connect your device to a computer and open iTunes. If you don't have a computer, you can borrow one, or go to an Apple Store or service provider authorized Apple for help.
    2. When your device is connected, force it to restart. Press and hold buttons sleep/wake and Home at the same time. Don't release when you see the Apple logo. Keep now until you see the Recovery mode screen.
    3. When you have the ability to restore or update, choose update. iTunes will try to reinstall iOS without erasing your data.

iTunes will download the software for your device. If it takes more than 15 minutes, your device will exit Recovery mode and you need to repeat steps 2 and 3.

If your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch does not respond or won't turn on

    Have a good.

I have looked through all the settings and can't find anything you need to stay connected to iClou.

Tap settings > iTunes & App Stores and then press on your Apple ID then View Apple ID. Enter your password.

Then restart your iPad and see if she asks your Apple ID even once. It should not.

You may have damaged hard drive to the iPod (or other component).  You are able to put it in Disk Mode?

Put the iPod in disk - Apple Support Mode

If it passes in disc Mode, run iTunes on the computer and connect the iPod.  iTunes may ask you to do a restore with a message on the "recovery."  If you're OK with deletion of the iPod, tell iTunes to perform the restore.

If it does not go in Disk Mode, or the restore fails, you have a hardware problem with the iPod hard drive.

  • My laptop loses its STARTUP information after it was closed during the night

original title: STUMPER! My laptop loses its STARTUP information after it was closed during the night?

I have a problem very intrigueing that I can't understand. I can do a clean install of Vista Ultimate(32 or 64 bit), on my gateway M285 - E Tablet PC. Once it's done and I did not yet updates, if I stop the system at night, I wake up and you try to boot the system and get a blue screen (which finally tells me that my "disk.sys" file is missing. I tried plugging it down in increments to see when this file, in fact, is lost. I stopped for about 1 1/2 hours and it will start fine, but during the night, it won't.

Then I tried a fresh install and did all the updates available, same thing. I tried to start a "memory test and everything is fine." I even did the memory more intense test (which takes forever, by the way... lol). I also did "chkdsk", as well as all viruses and malware, etc. tests with Norton first Edition.

I got to the point where I now have 3 separate "disk images" that I created to save time in my software I want to use this system of loading. We're just a clean install, that no update, other clean install available updates. and the last with a clean install with all my software MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite and Autodesk Entertainment and all of their updates.

I did this for if I'll actually somehow solve this problem I can easily use the "disk image" I want... No...

Oh yes, I also all my drivers up to date etc.

Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

    EDIT:

Another problem related to this situation, it's the hard drive becomes undetectable, so I have to use a software such as Ubunta starting vehicle, which has its own operating system, so I can actually format my hard drive to start the installation process. (otherwise my Vista installation won the same recognize I have a hard drive, not to mention operating system to try to resolve, such as startup repair, System Restore, etc.)

I finally figured it... xD is a hard drive diver who has been desgned for WinXP and for some reason any were never changed during the installation of Vista on this system or automatic updates.

It was actually the IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers, specifically the Intel SATA AHCI Controller. I used "Driver Whiz/Detective", which would install most drivers via a base file system are integrated.

The controller AHCI SATA Intel(r) has not, it only downloaded a .zip file that contains the following files:

    IaStor.sys
    iaAHCI.cat
    iaAHCI.inf

These were to actually be manually installed. "Even if I had downloaded and extracted the files, when I tried to update the driver"Intel SATA AHCI controller"via Device Manager" through the command of newer driver search. It does not always detect it them, stating that I already had the best and latest drivers already installed.

Then, for some reason that just kept on bothering me, because "Driver Whiz/Detective kept indicating that it was the best version of the driver for my system.

So, I finally tried to update the drivers manually by specifying exactly where these files are located on my system. Then he finally recognized them and installed them.

According to me, given that this system is an older model 'Gateway M285-E Tablet PC', even if it is Vista compatible, he has always maintained the operating system higher available for WinXP, through any auto detect in the BIOS. Even in the settings of the BIOS OS I tried assigning 'Other', because the only other options were Win95, Win98, WinMe, Win2000 and WinXP.

So having not the 'Intel(r) SATA AHCI controller"recognizing a Vista OS after be closed for a period of time, it would try to load a Windows XP operating system, and have failed to do. Strange, but is the only explanation I can offer for her.

    Thanks for the help,

  • Satellite Pro A10 stops during the installation of Windows

I have a satellite Pro A10, which stops during the installation of Windows. The installation gets to the part where I need to select the HARD drive to install, then the system off just. I can restart it immediately, and the sdame happens.

If I enter the BIOS, everything is detected OK, and I've updated to the latest version (V1.4). Also when in the BIOS, the system will remain under tension for ever and a day! and no downtime. I have a couple of diagnostic CD, then run the tests is the same thing, but I ran the seagate diagnostic tool and the HDD OK passes, as does the main map, but cannot perform detailed testing that the system shuts down during the tests.

I suspect an overheating issue but would like advice.

Hmmm it s very strange. I thought that the HARD drive could malfunctions but it of very impossible if the HARD drive has passed the Seagate diagnostic test.

However, it would be very interesting to know if the installation of the OS would end with another HARD drive.
You know, it of always difficult to provide an exact solution without any diagnostic tests.

For me, it really looks like a hardware malfunction. So perhaps it would be advisable to contact the authorized Toshiba maintainer for a control of the laptop.

  • Satellite A110-275 restarts after a stop on the current

    Hello

After installing xp sp3 if I stop my laptop while on external power, it seems to stop and power off of the fine - then 5 seconds later, it restarts?

If I turn off the external power (or pull the power cable on) if the machine is running on its battery - then stop - everything works fine. I have checked the event logs and see no error which would cause a reboot on shutdown. I disabled the reboot on system error switch and I turned off the wake of the bios on the options.

I also looked in Device Manager and off anything that could wake the machine after his stop (only found the modem). I am at a loss - I don't see why external power would cause the works to restart but battery very well. Finally its possible this safe mode can also not working after installed sp3.

If anyone has any ideas - I'd appreciate really them. It looks like there may be a newer bios available (I'm on V1.2) but I've seen a few posts cautioned against an updated bios windows at level - once again any info - very very welcome.

    Windows XP pro - sp3

    > After installing xp sp3 so I stop my laptop while on external power, it seems to stop and power off of the fine - then 5 seconds later, it restarts?

Have you noticed this problem before installing SP3?

Its strange noises that this occurs only when the laptop is connected to the power adapter

I searched in the forum for similar issues and in many cases enabled Wake up on LAN would cause a reboot.
I know, you have this disabled in BIOS, but you should also check the LAN card properties in Device Manager.
You will find an Advanced tab can disable this option too!

Satellite A110-275 belongs to the series of PSAB0E.
There is a new BIOS for PSAB0E series.

BIOS v2.0 is OS independent. Means that he s created for Win XP and other OS.
V5.40 BIOS is only for Vista OS.

If you are using Win XP, then you should take the independent BIOS of the OS!

  • After a crash during the installation of Captivate, the installer does not "initialize" and the installation process stops. Any suggestion?

I bought a few days ago from "Captivate". I received the Web address to download the program and the activation number. I downloaded the program (OK), began the installation program (OK) and has received indications that the decompression process was OK. Then the installation has begun, and I was asked to introduce the activation number (OK). After that, a bar showing the progress of the installation was shown on the screen. The bar stops at 2%. I waited more than 20 minutes and not seen any progress. So I decided to start the "task manager" to see if the process was active. I have windows 7, so I pressed ctrl-alt-del and the message (2-5 min later) who was not able to start the Task Manager. I waited longer (more than 1 hour), and since the progress of the installation the indicator was still 2% and I still couldn't activate the Task Manager, I restarted the computer.

  • Windows 7 BSOD after accidental shutdown during the update

Stop computer accidentally during the update of windows. Now computer stuck in a loop of startup blue screen. Safe mode and windows recovery all lead to the blue screen. I don't have a recovery disk. What should I do?

    Hello

According to the description of the problem, your computer is stuck in blue screen loop. So, I suggest you to create installation media by following the steps described in the article mentioned below and after that try to run automatic reapir.

Download Windows 7 Disk Images (ISO files)

After you create the Bootable USB key, change the boot priority and set it to USB. If you are unsure it is advisable to contact manufacturer FRO even. After changing the boot priority is trying to start your computer by using the bootable USB key.

To run the repair to start the Windows recovery environment (WinRE), follow these steps:

    • Insert the Windows installation disc in the disc drive, and then start the computer.
    • When the message press any key to start from the CD or DVD is displayed, press a key.
    • If your PC does not automatically detect the media
    • When the computer reboots, read on screen for instructions that explain how to interrupt normal startup and access the basic input/output system (BIOS) configuration utility. Most PCs use the F2, F10, ESC or del key to start the configuration of the BIOS.
    • Looking for a tab in the BIOS configuration utility that is labeled boot order, The Options of Bootor Boot. By following the instructions on the screen, use the arrow keys to go to the boot order, and then press ENTER.
    • Locate the flash USB, DVD or CD player (this could be called removable device) in the startup list. By following the instructions on the screen, use the arrow keys to move the drive to the top so that it appears first in the startup list. Press ENTER. The startup command sequence is now changed to boot from the flash drive, CD, DVD, or USB.
    • Press F10 to save your changes and exit the BIOS Setup utility. Select Yes in the confirmation window. The PC will restart.

The current releases of Firefox store customization of the toolbar in the browser.uiCustomization.state preference.
You can review and edit the prefs Subject: config page.

You can check for problems with preferences.

Delete a possible user.js file and files numbered prefs-# .js and rename (or delete) the file prefs.js to reset all the prefs by default, including the prefs set via user.js and pref which is no longer supported in the current version of Firefox.

  • Satellite X 200-F stops during the game

    Hi guys,.

I am a happy owner of a beautiful X 200-F for almost a year, and never had any problems with it.

Last night, I was playing a heavy 3d game in the night in a room at near 30 ° C (we do not have a lot of conditioners of Air in France, it is not so hot, usually).
So after an hour or 2 of battle in my laptop forged Alliance made a stop itself instantly, and it was because of overheating.
I would make an egg on the back cover if I wanted :D

I confess that I was playing in my bed, and it's not the best to do in summer, but I just want to know what is the critical temperature of the GPU that trigger the hard stop?
And the temp of the CPU max?

I checked & do all my usual test I didn't lose any performance of these two CPU & GPU.

Thanks to new Toshiba laptop robust I'll be more careful next time ^^

    And thanks for your replies,

    Hello

Ok. It was a hot day, you've played the game of high performance, and you used the laptop in bed

Good boyfriend I don't wonder that your laptop overheats and shuts automatically.

First of all you shouldn't t use the laptop in bed, as this is very dangerous for the material of the laptops. Cooling modules may not work correctly if the vents are blocked and there is no air circulation.

Secondly the phone automatically stops to avoid internal parts such as the CPU or GPU from damage.
The high internal temperature can lead to hardware failure, so my advice is very simple

Don t use the laptop in bed, but still on the table. Also, check that there is enough free space around the laptop. It is important to make sure that air can circulate properly.

    See you soon
