DC7700 Converible minitour: HDD not detected, windows does not load

Hi, I have this computer running Windows, but Isaw today it shows no disk system error. I replaced the cables, I ran the HP Vision Diagnostic test and saw that it shows errors in the extended SATA Firmware tests-, error code is 990518 and the failure code is 503. SATA seq check test displays error code 990161 and error code 502 parameters test not valid. SATA random performance test fails also to 1% as the other two and also 990161 and 502 times as codes respectively. Should I change the hard disk or there might be an error in the BIOS or the system itself? Thank you.

Hello

According the information that you posted in your other posts and this post, I suggest you replace the hard drive.

    Hello!

I have a HARD drive that has been encrypted with the HP ProtectTools of Windows7 drive encryption.

    Computer is here 8460p.

For 2 years, it starts well and gave me no problems until my windows did not start as expected.

(The reason for windows won't start don't no is a mixture of live without local area coupled with windows bug regarding these services)

In short: all the works of passwords and Windows 7 64 starts but me comes in some way in the newspaper of the sequence.

Given that I can't start windows on the encrypted HARD disk I can't decipher the reader...

As the drive is encrypted it can not be read from the outside

Since the PtotectTools of HP, started from an external win WHAT HDD 7 cannot see that the drive is encrypted

    Since then, I'm totally stuck.

It really sucks that even if I have all the passwords available, saved on USB keys and have them in mind, cannot reach the data.

Is there a HP tool that can decrypt the drive when I have all the necessary keys?

I replaced the current 40 GB with two different - hdd

    Western Digital 250 GB WD2500BPVT

I tried both separately and windows XP pro service pack 3 will not recognize either.

I have downloaded the driver sata toshiba Web site and installed via F6 at startup, windows asks you what driver, windows 2000 or XP, I click on XP and you enter, windows continues until advising so none found HDD

I also tried to download drivers intel after searching other threads, and it does not work through floppy.

I also added the drivers toshiba XP ISO using nlite to create a disk slipstream and while xp is loading the disc, I noticed 'pilot toshiba raid' being installed. Same no result no hard drive found.

According to the specifications on this page:

Your laptop's Ide interface, as far as I know on the old IDE interface there is a limitation of LBA 28 bits, which means that the laptop can only manage hard disks up to 128 GB.

Personal laptop is limited to the installation of other equipment, graphic monitor (s) push resources. If ram memory

is maximally, & the BIOS settings are set to a different monitor, Direct X updates, graphics software are updated, then

We should be able to run a reg monitor... Chk, go in run or cmd, type: DXDIAG run Direct X.

Also, the BIOS settings are critical, uninstall the default, add new ones.

  • My laptop's built-in network adapter does not detect Windows 8

I'm trying to share the internet connection from my laptop to another computer, but my laptop Ethernet card does not work. When I plug it in, the lights come on, but windows does not. It does not show it in device manager. I tried to install the driver, but it does not detect the card. Does someone know what to do? And the previous operating system, windows 7, worked perfectly with it.

You may need to update the Ethernet card. Update from the manufacturer's Web site. Other possibilities include a problem with the connection that your ISP provides.  Hope this helps and if you need another post to help and we will be happy to help you.

  • HP 15-D103TX computer laptop problem: Windows does not detect the dedicated graphics card

    Hi all

I recently bought a laptop HP 15 - D103TX , which is held responsible for Free on BACK. I have updated my Windows 8 operating system and have installed all the drivers from the HP website. The laptop has dedicated 2 GB Nvidia Geforce 820 M graphics card.

But when I checked, I found that Windows displays the graphic memory dedicated only 0 MB.

As you can see in the screenshot, it shows as 0MB dedicated graphics memory.

Anyone can clear me, upward on this subject? Is it a driver problem, or what is Windows 8 going crazy.

Thank you very much in advance!

    Kind regards

    Brahmnoor

Okay, I found the solution. In fact, the Haswell Intel i5 processor that my 15 HP D103TX has also comes with an Intel 4600 GPU intregated. So when I do normal tasks, the GPU intregated works, so Windows does not display the NVIDIA GPU 820M, but when I play a game or doing intense graphics work, he switches to the NVIDIA one.

In fact, it makes sense, because it preserves the battery of the laptop.

Let it run for as long as you can: 2,4,6,8 or several hours (at least 3 full passes), if no error then your RAM is OK.

  • Windows Vista does not load on Equium P300-16t?

    Help!

P300 for my daughter does not windows once a CF (containing only JPEG Images) flash memory card has been inserted into a USB port and removed when starting up.
I get a windows error recovery page that says a recent hardware or software change is prevents the loading of windows.
Two options are given 1. Repair launch 2. Start windows normally. Neither will launch windows.
I can get the "safe mode" screen when I press F8 at startup upward. When I try to start in safe mode it hangs just after 10 seconds or more.
I can access the BIOS screen by pressing F12 and default configuration value. Always not load Vista.

I have lost the discs to restore that have been made on the first day, and there is data on the hard drive that has not been saved! So I hope that there is an easy solution for this.

    Hello

I doubt you could disable in the BIOS.
But you can check if a USB option in the BIOS that would help you to disable USB ports.

Otherwise, you could try to reinstall the operating system by using the disk HARD recovery option.
FIR this press F8, and then choose computer repair mu, then choose HDD Recovery.

But this process will format the C partition and you lose the data that was stored on C

  • Equium M40X: I get to the banner of Toshiba, but Windows does not start

When I start my 2 year old Toshiba Satellite M40X, I get to the banner of Toshiba, but Windows does not start. I tried using the recovery CD and it does not either.

Any suggestions as to what could be the problem?

    Hello

What do you mean with the banner of Toshiba? Did you mean the Toshiba splash screen that appears at the begging of the boot?

Equium M40X successfully passed this screen?

If the laptop is unable to switch to the home Toshiba screen then I presume that the BIOS has detected a hardware problem.
In this case primarily the motherboard fails

But if the laptop is able to spend the Toshiba start screen, the motherboard must be ok and only a 3rd device malfunction as HARD drive could cause this problem.
