Hai,

I have trouble with the letters on my keyboard.
I read the solution in the FAQ to change the language in the keyboard settings.

I have changed to British, but still have problems to make the staggered letters.
My keyboard has on it the 1 to 0:

Quad is right. It is possible that your keyboard does not have an English layout.
If you bought the device in another country, in this case the function of the buttons is different.

    Please note, however, that in Windows® XP Service Pack 3 , drivers are not necessary for newer flash players.  If you have not upgraded to the SP2 minimum, you can have trouble reading flash drives.  Download and installation of the SP3 may solve your problem.

    In addition, your hardware supports USB 2.0?  If this isn't the case, you may need to install a separate USB controller to use flash drives.  See the documentation for your system.

  • Keyboard shortcut to click on a button in a drop-down window in Thunderbird Mac?

    I recently migrated to Thunderbird 3 on an older Mac OS x 10.4.11 to a whole new Mac OS x 10.9.3. The migration has been almost transparent, and I'm loving many useful features of the new Thunderbird! However...

    There is ONE thing that I do all the time which is not supported by a keyboard shortcut, and I couldn't find anything in the Support forums that relates specifically to it. When I start an email and decide I want to throw it away, I hit command W (close) and get a drop-down window that can gives me the choice to save (as a draft in my case), not save and cancel. The ESC key active Cancel, of course, but none of the other buttons has a keyboard shortcut.

    It's almost the only time wherever I have to grab my mouse when I use TB and I find this very frustrating. I have other applications on the Mac which can accept inside these windows keyboard shortcuts and really missing TB. Is it possible to add these shortcuts? I'd like to be able to use the D command to close an unsent message without saving changes.

    Several people spoke of keyconfig, but we don't know if this works on this version of TB Mac and it is also unknown if it allows access to the buttons I want control. Any help would be appreciated.

    The add-on keyconfig is up and running here in TB 24 & 32, but to install it, you will first need to install this add-on:

    I found the instructions to create a shortcut to save as a draft and close the window (Ctrl-S is the default key for save as draft), so that we can adapt that Don ' t Save (although Windows, Alt - N is the default key for the command of Don't Save).

    What model are you using? How did you find that the FN is not working. On most models, if you press just FN it is a small LED on the keyboard that lights up. Please check just above 9 and 0.

  • Satellite A210 keyboard problem - Missing letters and generally acting-up

    Model: A210-126 (not relevant since problem seams to affect several models)

    Symptom:
    Keys is de-energized or gives wrong output. The problems occurs randomly, either right at startup or after availability. Looks like it's a hardware related issue and not a problem with the OS. The problem occurs in several OS´s and even in the BIOS-meny. None of the solutions posted in this forum / other items solves the problem.

    The battery is not a solution (as suggested in other posts), the problem reoccurs after availability and sometimes even right to restart the computer. (Et laisse le visage, un ordinateur portable sans une batterie est un _stationary_) =)

    No! It's not overheating and heat issue, this problem may occur at startup after a powerdown complete with battery and power removed. (and no, this isn't a problem of dust or a problem of broken / lack of cooling-fans/ventilation)

    I use the lates for my model BIOS, so make a habit/flash-update of the bios to solve the problem.
    Default factory restore is not a solution either, but _différemment_ ive tried, even if this problem most def is a hardware problem.

    All the other solutions suggested by other posters solves the problem (most of them software related bugs in any case).

    Comments:
    The problem started recently enough (ive had this laptop for about a year and a half) and judging by the other posts in this forum seams problem began on the same date/time to a suspect that he is a "calendar/clock" related question... but I'm not an expert and it's just a hunch (would explain why some users may experience a temporary "I solved the problem by changing keyboard-calendar" - euporia until) what they ecounter problem once again after a time of ).

    The problem arises _completely_ radom and under any given the cirumstance...

    Any suggestions?

    The links that you post are not related to the A210 but L670 laptop model and it was reading about L670 and the problem has been resolved by the BIOS updated

    I have a laptop A210 and this issue never happened to me.
    I installed Win XP, Vista and Win 7 on the Satellite A210 and keyboard is ok.

    I have only one explanation.
    You have configured the keyboard with two different languages.
    By pressing SHIFT + ALT the OS changes the language of the page layout and button assignment.

    Maybe during the quick typo you have accidentally enabled this combination of keys and the keyboard power

  • Satellite C660 - keyboard problem

    I have a problem with the keyboard on my Satellite c660 laptop, reference number: PSC1LE.
    The best way I can describe it is like a stuttering problem because it comes and go (very well for a few hours, then not for a short period).

    The problem is that, for reasons unknown to me, I continue to experience a problem where the A, N and Enter keys do not work when you press. Sometimes pressing the key several times (they they are not frozen) is simply the letter out, but I can not continue to press the time key to five or six to get a letter. Just to mention, I've not spilled anything on the keyboard.

    I did full virus and spyware scans but have found no problem.
    I have done tonight all the updates of windows available to me, but it does not appear to have done the trick.

    After the restart that follows the device updates all worked them for about 15 minutes, so that the same three keys stopped working again. On this occasion, it lasted only a few minutes, and now I'm writing this with the same keyboard.

    Note: I do not use the original keyboard. I changed the jury due to minor property damage, but he did private.
    However, this was done most of the year there and worked flawlessly since installation, until this new edition took place in recent weeks.

    I think you'd understand that nobody is able to say why your keyboard malfunctioned.
    Only if the hardware of the laptop has been scanned/verified, it would be possible to say what's wrong here
    But as General, there is a good workaround solution to diagnose the problem.

    You could connect the external USB keyboard to the laptop and could check if the same problems with the mentioned buttons will occur.

    In case the external USB keyboard would work correctly, I think that your internal keyboard is the troublemaker in such a case, you will need to replace the keyboard once more.

  • No keyboard, no blocked on Windows 8 and Windows 8 boot disk does not start

    I have a 15 inch Macbook Pro mid 2013 (I think, I can check if it helps). There are 2 days that the SPACEBAR on my keyboard broke. I hear there as soon as I turn on my laptop it is still active as if I am pressing on it and as soon as I get to type anything, by pressing any other key on the keyboard, the EEG SPACEBAR take off and won't work at all. From what I could tell, it's an electrical problem with the contacts on the keyboard and after going a TI repair shop, they said that the only solution is to change the keyboard altogether. In the meantime, I bought a USB keyboard.

    I am also under Windows 8 in Bootcamp and I left it usually automatically connect to OS X and I just use the Alt key at startup when I go into Windows. However I have noticed that since the space bar is stuck and active at startup, I can no longer press Alt to change Windows, I decided to change the automatic boot from OS X to Windows disk and restart thinking I could just repeat the process when I am done going back to OS X. But for some reason unknown, Windows 8 will not start, just of takes me to the windows icon and freezes. Sometimes a message saying "Prepare the automatic repair" will appear under the icon of windows, but it is still frozen. Now I'm stuck in this boot sequence and I can't switch back to OS X since the Alt key will not work.

    Now my questions are: is there a way to switch partitions in the boot without a keyboard? Or is there a way to cut completely from the Mac keyboard and use the USB, one instead? Or even a way to break the contact of the space completely bar so stop because I change the keyboard completely in any case and it would be just a temporary solution? Thanks for any info!

    If the battery on your Mac has inflated because of charge cycles, it can push against the keyboard, causing its functioning. Have you checked the battery to abnormal expansion?

  • HP Pavilion 500-270: keyboard problem

    My wired and wireless keyboards do not work on my PC. Problem started today. I tried the power up/down steps and BIOS setting but still no solution. I also ran athe Driver update of test.  If anyone can help?

    Another note, function {s} keyboard fine when you connect. Just don't after that login is complete.

    Fixed my own problem. Unknown to me, the "ease of access" functions of the keyboard were committed and outweigh external keyboards.  Hope this helps someone.

    Just bought new Satellite L30-134. Try to connect monitor via a belkin, switching, separate keyboard and mouse device. Keep an eye on fine, but the keyboard connection problem or the mouse. Both are connections PS2, I used PS2 to USB switching device. Sounds complicated, but I thought that it would be "plug and play". Whenever I connect keyboard or mouse, error message saying device connected unknown.

    Can you please try to connect to some new keyboard or mouse? May be time to use recent hardware components with new laptop models. Use some modern mouse and keyboard and it will certainly be "plug and play" device.

  • Tecra M5: print fingerprint sensor is not working properly because a drink was spilled on the keyboard

    My finger print sensor does not work correctly as a drink was spilled on the keyboard. While booting, it automatically "fails" 5 times in a row (without any attempt to slide a finger), and then by default at the entrance of password to boot the disk hard machine.

    This is not a problem and all I want to do is disable the finger print sensor, but cannot work out how to do this. I tried to uninstall the driver, who seemed done without any problem, but during the reboot, the sensor still seems active, and always goes through the same process.

    Everything else works fine and it's just a minor niggle, but I would like to delete the gene of it me beep 5 times then it does its thing.

    Can someone tell me how I turn it off completely?

    Did you remove the fingerprint software? If Yes check if some unknown device is listed in Device Manager. Please post the result.

    Maybe you can try to disable this unknown device and it will not be recognized as new hardware every time when you start the laptop.

    1, 2 & 3 is listed under "Driver-storage" JMicron card reader  ACPI\ENE0100 should be ENE CIR Receiver Driver under "driver-keyboard, mouse and input devices.

    I wonder if anyone can help me, recently some how, unknown to me, my keyboard changed on my laptop, so now whenever I press a button on the laptop, another letter or the value comes out, that is if I press j, then 1 appears on the display.
    I tried to see if the language settings have been changed in Control Panel, but it is the same as usual so now I'm stuck. Please help me! Thank you

    There's no problem. You have inadvertently enabled the small keypad on your keyboard. It can be disabled by pressing FN + F11.
