    Hi Joseph,.

Since when are you facing this problem?

The CMOS Checksum Bad error that is displayed depends on the type of BIOS used. One of these error conditions indicate that failure of a test of Basic Input/Output System (BIOS).

There are two main reasons why fails a test of the BIOS:

    · The battery on the motherboard has lost its ability to provide energy. Date and time system are also affected by a defective battery.

    · The BIOS has been updated "evil." This can happen if the power is lost by updating the BIOS, or update the BIOS with an update that was not downloaded from HP, or when a virus or malware modifies the BIOS data.

To resolve this error, use one of the following sections provided by HP.

Note: BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

If your PC always shows errors about the clock or CMOS when starting the PC, the CMOS battery on the motherboard probably needs to be replaced.

Alternatively, you can contact HP for help.

  • My bookmarks file is by default when using the shortcut ctrl D

My bookmarks file is not by default when selected.

I have to scroll down to find it in heap.

I thought that Mozilla will leave the last favorite folder selected at the top of the list when you use "ctrl D".

I would use "to bookmark all tabs" but I have 2 pinned tabs and almost always some tabs open that I don't want to put in the folder.

I love the D, tab, alt + down ctrl but shouldn't the last folder of bookmarks in the drop-down list be a sticky until you select another?

  • How do you calculate the default gateway using cidr or slash notation

I had this question in the Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist - 70-680, configuration Windows 7 Measureup asking me to find the default gateway to the IP 192.168.123.128 with a rating of 26.

I was wondering how do I work this? I'm really bad about that. If anyone has the time to help with this it would be great.

I know CIDR is used to find the subnet mask, but do not know how to default gateways or IP addresses.

    Thanks in advance.

  • How can I force change manager type by default file using GPO to all the users in my organization.

On Windows 8 and above all how to change the file manager by default for a file type on all computers in my organization? Is there such an option available via GPO?

  • Default value using ADFLogger.createADFLogger (java.lang.Class p1)

    Hello world

I tried to understand how the new logger is created and initialized. When we use the "ADFLogger.createADFLogger (java.lang.Class c1)" method to create a log, the default logging level is initialized to null. But when I tried to investigate it, it is found that an instance of java.util.Logger is created with the default recording for the RECORD level.

Question: How is the default logging level is changed to null? Should not the instance of ADFLogger has some default logging level...?

    Thank you

I checked this and the answer lies in the javadoc

    getLevel

    java.util.logging.Level public getLevel()

Download the log level that has been specified for this recorder. The result can be null, which means that they will leave to effective level of this recorder to its parent.

    Returns:

    level of this recorder

So if you get null, it means that you inherit the MOM logging level. As the recorder build a tree you must back up the tree (using getParent()) until you get the recorder that returns a level not null.

  • By default when using the relationships between properties?

I'm trying to figure out if when using relationships between properties custom vCAC if there is a way to select a default value in the second property based on the selection in the first. For example, if I have a custom property, called environment with the selectable values such as stage of Dev, Test and then create one link on another well as CustSpec (to borrow a specific customization for this environment specification) can I add a default value for the CustSpec property without the user select this option? I created an XML file, as described in the documentation , and he applied a ValueExpression on the CustSpec property. It works fine if I manually select the CustSpec available in value based on the selection of the property of my environment, but it is not a value by default and for something with one option that the user doesn't care, I would that he simply apply this value to the property.

Here is a short example of XML:

    <? XML version = "1.0" encoding = "utf-8" standalone = "yes"? >

    < ArrayOfPropertyValue xmlns: xsi =

    < Valeurpropriete >

    Environment of < FilterName > < / FilterName >

    Development of < FilterValue > < / FilterValue >

    < value > CustSpecName < / value >

    < / PropertyValue >

    < / ArrayOfPropertyValue >

The relationship requires that you select the value of the child, even if there is only one option. There was a time in 5.2 with the web portal optional you could install, choosing the child if there is a present, but that has disappeared. What I would do, is use a vRO workflow in the State of the machine building and do set the value of CustSpec based on the property that animates the value of others and pass back it to the vRA. It's a fairly easy operation and a good opportunity to play with vRA-> vRO if you haven't done anything with it before.

I wrote a blog on how to update a vRO property and pass it to vRA, there's a follow-up post that has an update more complex which allows you to have a generic template that updates the properties cloneFrom and cloneSpec based on what OS is selected.

  • Installation of all using a vCenter Update Manager

I created a lab with 2 hosts ESXi (5.5.0) environment and a vCenter device (5.5.0).

I need to perform a few tests using the Update Manager, but I was unable to find the procedure to install it.

I understood that MU can be installed on the device of vCente.

Can I use a Windows Server 2008 R2 host to host it, but I can't find the procedure...

Can someone please indicate detailed documentation?

    Concerning

    Marius

The procedure is the same, take a look: vSphere Update Manager (VUM) (part 2) - Installation

You just have to provide the address (or FQDN) IP, port, user name and password before you connect to your vCSA questioned by Update Manager installation wizard (Figure #3 on the link I posted above).

  • Re-use of vCenter SSO certificate

I was banging my head against the deployment of the single sign-on with my installation of vCenter 5.1 certificates.

I think I finally have a handle on how to do it using the SSL automation tool.

So what I wanted to do was blow up all my servers and reinstall all.  I wanted to reuse the certificates that I have already created.

I think that if I use the same IP address and host name I should be fine.  I'm going basic here?

There will be no problem as long as CN has the FQDN of the server and the domain OR something that is unique for the SSO service. Just install the servers and redeploy certificates that you are used to.

  • Save an ESXi 4.0 virtual using the VCenter Converter Standalone

I'm having a 'moment' here because it's been a while since I've done it.

I have a Windows Server 2008 virtual machine running on ESXI 4.1. I want to make a one-time backup of the virtual. It's a Terminal Server I don't need of daily backups, etc.

I have it in mind that I can do this with the VCenter Converter Standalone. I downloaded and installed version 5 of this.

When I tried to communicate with the virtual virtual "Machine VMWare Infrastructure" using the converter drop-down I get this:

Unable to reach the specified host 192.168.254.154. The host may not be available... or management on this host services do not react.

The IP address is correct. Am I missing something here? Management services? I put the VM converter on this virtual server Client?

The goal is to get the hard local machine in order to restore it in case of failure.

    Thank you very much.

    Mike Gallery

you will need to have comments turned off for export as OVF, but you don't need to use the converter.

Also, in the future, if you use the converter and a source of 'VMware Infrastructure virtual machine', the virtual machine must thus put off.

.. .and to return the FVO in your inventory... File - deploy OVF

  • Server and managed by using same vCenter VDI infrastructure

One of my customers would like to use VMware View for its solution VDI and VMware vSphere Enterprise Plus for its servers/data center infrastructure.

It would be ok for him to manage vsphere on the VDI and the servers/data center servers, using the same server vCenter? Are there limitations or disadvantages?

The server vCenter himself will be protected using vCenter Heartbeat.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    -Taha

It is acceptable to use a single vCenter server for virtualization, VDI and server, but I think it's best to separate out once you press about 50 jobs.

A separate environment will facilitate the management of permissions between desktop and Server team, it will also make sure that your server infrastructure is not required to wait the software updates for the VDI environment that has happened in the past, and I found that it is easier to increase my stats for server infrastructure when I have not mixed with 300 workstations.
