default port comms

I'm under the latest version of Lookout in a very simple configuration to control three Modbus nodes on a USB / 485 port converter. Everything works perfectly and has been installed on both machines. There was a problem with the first machine in the built-in control port 485 pc had a problem that brought me to swap to the USB interface. This fixed the problem so I used it on the second computer. What is happening now is the second machine will work properly during a random delay then lose any communication via the port. The customer takes note that the indicators of activity on the nodes are dead and Modbus stats show the response failures. Re start the Setup complete cures the problem for a while, which seems to be between 2 to 60 minutes. Strangely enough the first machine is now done the same stuff after having worked without problem for several days. Modbus nodes are one of the 8 outputs, one of 16 inputs and 2 analog inputs. Needless to say it worked perfectly when I was on the site for a few days and work is a half-day plane ride away.

Apart from the change of the address of the port, everything is according to the default values of the lookout.

We record the communication on serial port data and see what happens.

Select the Option-> Serial Ports, choose the COM port uses Modbus. Activate the 'Diagnostic File Settings', name of input file and check the 'value in hexadecimal. Then the Modbus communication on this COM port is stored in the file. Run the process until the problem occurs. Attach the file of newspaper here.

    Hello Ivan,.

one of my friends had the same problem. Here is some info for you that makes you happy! :-)

Toshiba offers only professional with the COM port laptop computers as 'old' COM, printer, PS2 ports are inherited. All the computer laptop manufacturer went this way in the past because the market doesn't have a demand for it! So only USB 2.0 is built in the terms of the end user.

Here's the new laptops from toshiba available with Port com Tecra M1, M2 Tecra, Tecra S1, Tecra 9100 and Tecra 9000. The 6100 Pro Satellite and 6000 was also one.

  • SmartView Essbase connection on the default port, must connect to 6423

    Hi all

We have Hyperion 11.1.2.2.30x installed and configured with full SSL everywhere.  With this, we have Essbase successfully listening on 6423 (6423 only, we have disabled 1423) safely and all components (planning, EN, Calcmgr, etc.) are in communication with success too.  Thereby when attempting to connect to Essbase via SmartView, we receive an error stating ' unable to communicate to < essbaseservername >:1423.  The issue is that SmartView trying to connect on the default port (1423) instead of the safe harbour 6423.

In environmental assessment, we have added a provider using the secure connection (< essbaseservername >: 6423: secure) that we are able to use in environmental assessments, but in SmartView is always looking for 1423.  No idea where this becomes SmartView and or how I can get it to connect to 6423?  Thanks in advance for any help you are able to provide.  In addition, all other connections through SmartView (SSL) are able to connect successfully.

    SmartView version 11.1.2.2.310

    Hyperion: all versions 11.1.2.2.30x

If SSL is enabled by the EMP for Essbase configurator and the value of setting SSL configuration in the essbase.cfg then when you connect to Essbase in Smart View the safe option should be available for example "EssbaseCluster-1: SURE.

  • Change the default port

Can someone point me to a document that describes the steps to change the default port (8080) to another port on an existing Foglight environment?

The Foglight Management Server (FMS) port is configured in FMSHOME/config/server.config:

    # These options are required, they must be configured for the server starts

    #

    Server.http.port = "8080";

    Server.HTTPS.port = "8443";

You can change them by modifying the config file and restart the FMS.

    BUT:

Remember that all Management Agent Foglight (FglAMs) use this port to send data to the FMS.

Foglight users may have bookmarked FMS URLs with the original port number.

Under Unix, a process must have permissions root a low numbered path (if you thought to change port 80)

To make the seemless transition, you should consider implementing some sort of system (for example with an Apache web server) port forwarding so that agents and users who use the original port will not break.

In both cases, the loopback driver is set up because I do not have these ports connected to anything. But it's not important at this stage. The thing is that I have two ways to set up the same thing, but I don't know which is the right.

    Thank you very much

    Emiliano

    Hello Emiliano,

In both cases, the encapsulation for xconnect is mpls only. the other encapsulation tht you defined as the service instance is to map an incoming tag to a service instance. If you receive an image without any tag it will be mapped to the instance of service 1.

Say assume that instead of 'default of encapsulation' we confiure "encapsulation dot1q 10" then all the frames coming with 10 tag will be mapped to this service instance.

Now a major difference between the two implementation is, one is the port-based EoMPLS is second evolutionary EoMPLS. In EoMPLS based on port, you can use this port only to L2 circuit service, while as part of the CVS, you can create several service instance and use them for different services.

Probably the biggest advantage of the VCA framework is the ability to support several services by physical port. This means that under a single physical port, you have the following mixed together:

    -802. 1 q trunk

    -802. 1 q tunnel

    -Local connect

    -Scalable EoMPLS (EoMPLS xconnect)

    -Multipoint Bridging (L2 bypass)

-Multipoint Bridging (VPLS, focused on the SVI EoMPLS)

    -L3 termination

  • Configuration of Apache by default port problem.

    Hi Experts,

Today, I met a working port of apache configuration.

    My scenario:

I have a domain with a managed server (both on the same machine) and also, I have configured apache server using code below,

    < location / >

    SetHandler weblogic-Manager

    WebLogicHost 192.0.0.1

    7005 WeblogicPort

    < / location >

The application runs on port 80 by default. Thus, when the user access to the DNS means www.support.com (example) means that it redirected to the 192.0.0.1. Then user acesss the homepage of the

    request. So far no problem.

My requirement is, if the user accessing the DNS also redirected www.support1.com(another one) to the 192.0.0.1 and also access home page of the application itself. But what I want is, need for the user to access the specific page (example: billing page) in the application, not the home page.

I don't want to set up separate port (apache level) and separate the IP (DNS level) for the www.support1.com.

I tried to write the virtual host inside of this I used the name of the server, but it does not work.

Can I write the IF ELSE condition in the httpd.conf file as if your access from the ww.support.com go to this URL to go to that URL (billing page)

    Please share your expert suggestions.

    Kind regards

    Simo.

  • vSphere ESX 4.1 changing default ports 80 and 443?

    Hiya,

I have problems trying to change ports by default so that I can spend my server in VM.

I tried what he said on the forums here, but I can't work. VMware KB 1021199 article

The proxy.xml has about 72 lines in there, but I put it upstairs, downstairs, no joy.

The top of my proxy.xml now looks like this

    < ConfigRoot >

    < > 81 httpPort < / httpPort >

    < > 444 httpsPort < / httpsPort >

< the rest of the file >

< / the rest of the file >

    < / ConfigRoot >

I have changed ports in my customer file too.<add key = "protocolports" value = "https:444;http:81" />

All I get is unable to connect to the server.

I also tried to add the port to the name such as 192.168.5.111:81, no joy.

    What I'm missing here?

    Any help much appreciated, taa.

    AndyB

    Welcome to the community,

just a quick question. Why do you have ant / need to change ports on ESX host? The ESX host and the virtual machine to each use their own IP address, so there should not be any conflict of port with a virtualized Exchange Server.

This point is covered long ago by Tim Dexter. The link is [url: http://blogs.oracle.com/xmlpublisher/entry/creating_dynamic_urls_in_your] HERE

All you have to do is:
    1. in your model, set a parameter:
    2. include in your report as any other {$CURRENT_SERVER_URL} parameter
    3. in execution, it will return something like: http://YOURSERVERNAME:YOURPORT / xmlpserver

  • Comm port not detected by VISA / MAX after the device power cycle connected

I have a device communicating via USB virtual comm port. The device and labview program both work very well, most of the time. The program is designed for the automatic connection for the connected equipment. It works perfectly when I unplug and reconnect the USB cable.

However, if the unit power cycled as the USB cable is connected and the program/vi is running of things go wrong. The device enters a phase of boot loader for a few seconds to the power upward, if labview tries to query the port comm during this phase the comm port is corrupted in some way and is no longer recognized by VISA / NI MAX. However, other programs, hyperterminal, etc device manager can see and communicate with the port when the boot loader is complete. For Labview / NI MAX to see the port I have to physically disconnect the USB cable. The program does not need to be restarted in order to detect the port comm again and, infact, labview is restarted or my compiled program does not solve the problem. Physically disconnect the USB port allows visa / MAX OR see the port is connected.

It seems to me that there is a problem with VISA where somehow if a device is not correctly identified by VISA during the first attempt it just does not take into account the port until a physical intervention. Is there a way to force VISA to reassess completely all connected comm ports?

    Hello MJanus,

As far as I know, most of the virtual com ports are not fully supported by VISA so some quirks in its operation are to be expected: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/6E1922B526572CB8862571AA00544057?OpenDocument

Officially, we do not support the use of com virtual ports, if unfortunately, the feature you have now is probably as good you'll be able to get with this configuration. I know it's not the answer you were hoping to hear and I apologize for the inconvenience, but it is not really possible visa work well with all software virtual com port due to the wide variety of products available.

    Kind regards
