• Qosmio X 500-fault of screen not covered by the warranty?

  So as said elsewhere the X 500 series has a certain design/manufacturing fault that allows a "shadow" be visible on the entire length of the screen at the height of the taskbar (so don't not visible in windows, but jobs is full screen, like movies, just terrible).

  The attitude of Toshiba is that it is a "limitation of the technology" and not covered by the warranty (which I think is very poor on their part).

  My query is why?

  Given their other 18.4 "models (P500 for example) doesn't seem to have this obvious anomaly, and nor other brands models 18". If it was a limitation of the technology like Toshiba said so surely other models/brands that X 500 would have this anomaly?

  Personally, I think the excuse of "limitation of technology" is just a COP on part Toshibas who do not want to solve the problem on EACH item, I'm sure that the next model (x 600? whatever) will miraculously not the issue and those of us who have decided on Toshiba will continue to say "too bad".

  I searched the net looking for x 500 no descriptions of this "limitation" as we should expect a "limitation of technology" to be as widely reported as their other favorite, the dead pixel but found nothing. It seems this limitation of effects incredibly alone technology Toshiba X 500? Toshiba must think we're gullible.

  My fault however maybe done research, can any that shed light on why only the X 500 has such a terrible mistake and no other models?

  It is user forum and I do not think that any of us has access to s secrets Toshiba ;) to see what type of screens are used on the Qosmio X 500.

  I don't know if Qosmio x 500 has new generation screens, but I don't know that Toshiba uses better technology for this model of laptop high-end.
  In the past all Qosmio notebooks are best of the best in all aspects, materials, software and many other software programs.

  Just, I hope not, I am sure, that Toshiba will continue this philosophy for Qosmio range and seems best proof new Qosmio F60.
  I like it a lot but leys see how much it will cost.

  I'm from Europe, from Portugal to be thorough and I bougth this Qosmio X 500 - 13V in 14/02/2011. It is in warranty, of course. But now, I've noticed there is a red dot in the center of the screen. What should I do? The warranty covers computer? I don't want to have a pc with a dot, although tiny, on the screen. :(

• Default setting screens in VSM when running / updating a call

  Quick question, currently, our VSM uses by default the 'Description' tab when prevention measures or update of an appeal as in the screenshot below.

  

  It's pretty frustrating for our staff who need to constantly change in the tab Actions and Solutions to enter another update. It would be our preference to have it default to this tab when a decision on the appeal. Is this possible? We had no chance when with VMWare in connection with it.

  Please take this decision with responsibility for each customization:

  * can adversely affect the performance or reliability of the system.

  * must be reviewed or modified each time that you apply the update to the product.

• I can't open the .jpg files from the desktop using "Windows Photo Gallery" as the default program. They open normally from nowhere elsewhere, but not directly from the desktop. No error, nothing happens.

  If I right click 'open with' open with other programs like IE but not "Windows Photo Gallery". It is not a specific .jpg file, this is all .jpg files. For example... I have a .jpg file in a folder on my desktop, open folder double click, it will open in the "Windows Photo Gallery". Copy and paste the SAME file on the desktop, double-click on, nothing happens. I tried to restart, change the default value of IE, open the file, it opens, by default change to "Windows Photo Gallery" doesn't work... I am confused?

  Method 1:

  This can happen in the database that keeps track of all the photos and videos in your collection is damaged. You can rebuild your database by:

  (1) close Windows Live Photo Gallery

  (2) · Click Start

  (3) · Click on my computer

  (4) · Paste this address into the address field %userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows Live Photo Gallery

  (5) · Right-click Pictures.pd5

  (6) click on rename

  (7) · Change the name of the file to OLD_Pictures.pd5

  (8) · Restart the computer and then try to open the Windows Photo Gallery.

  Method 2:
  Try using the tool (SFC.exe) System File Checker to check and repair corrupt system files.  To do this, follow these steps:

  4. in the drop-down menu that appears, click the "Run as Administrator" option

• 6 iPhone does not load and the screen broke

  Last week I went to the apple store because my iphone 6 are more charged correctly. This has happened for a while now and it has just stopped working. So I told them that and how I broke the screen during the time it did not work and they tried to do a diagnostic on it that wouldn't work if they sent away for repair. However, Im now be told that I have to pay to get my fixed screen to look inside my phone which makes no sense because you would need to open it anyway. Im still under 1 year warranty and it wouldn't make sense for me to pay to get my fixed screen probably for them to discover the non repairable phones and give me a new phone in any case. What should I do?

  Accidental damage not covered by the warranty, so you must either pay for the replacement of the screen (if that's all that is needed) or pay for an out of warranty replacement.  Whatever it is, if you have an iPhone running once again, you have to pay for repairs or replacement.  Your warranty is voided when you broke the screen.

  Paying Apple for the repair or replacement will be recovering the remainder of your original warranty or provide 90 days of warranty on the repair or replacement, according to the longest period of time.

  You have XP, right, and you are talking about the file - dialog box open, right?

  You need a modern version of Windows (Vista or Windows 7) to get the file - open dialog box to provide something else as the 'List' default display.

  Some people see a different behavior with XP sometimes, but it doesn't seem to be a means of reliable control.  Vista and Windows 7, however, will remember the settings that you chose for a particular folder and you show this setting whenever you visit this file in the file - open dialog box.

  It is one of the many reasons to upgrade to a system modern is a good idea.

  Hey there - I'll have a few courses of weird stuff.

  I have both OpenOffice.org and Microsoft Office 2007 is installed on my Windows 7 computer and I would like to use Microsoft Office as the default for all files, it can open, but he does not appear in the list of default programs.

  If you click on all programs above the Orb in the list you will find Microsoft Office 2007, click the folder and it opens to reveal Word, excel etc. You can right-click on the word etc. and choose PIN to the start menu or the taskbar somewhere else. I have pin and then in the start menu for convenience.

• When an image is in several catalogs and I make a change to it in a cat it is not recognized by other

  Now that I'm on a Mac, it seems that when an image is in several catalogs and I make a change to it in a cat it is not recognized by the other.  Everything was stored in an attached file on the PC. The Mac version does not seem to do that. Is there a work around for this? Last thing I want to do, is work on an image in LR and find all of this work is to specific catalog.

  Check the option in the settings dialog box of the LR catalog for "automatic writing changes to XMP. This way all of your actual changes are written in an XMP Sidecar file and can be read by other catalogs, you could use.

  But ultimately you do yourself a favor by using more than one catalog. The whole point behind LR is to have all the images in one catalog on your main computer. Of course, it is find to use one second, another catalog on another computer, such as a laptop, you take on the twigs and then merge this another catalog in your main catalog when you return from the shoot.

  What is the average of the 'default' setting?  It translates to 'Read-write' or 'Read' or 'access forbidden '?  or business being a top-level object, the parameter 'Default' basically inherits the permission set for the application role "AuthenticatedUser"?

  By default. The permission is inherited from the parent object. Areas, because they are a higher level object, default value is equivalent to the permission granted to the application role AuthenticatedUser.

  If you ask for materials, 'default' in this case means same permission as an authenticated user.

• Setting widget to 100% width Horizontal Menu does not work

  Hello, I'm trying to put a widget Menu Horizontal width of 100% within the Muse so it extends on the browser and it seems very well while I'm the edit in Muse, but when I try to view them on any browser, I get a shorter menu, floating to the left of the screen. Anyone know what could be the problem?

  As you can see in the attached screenshots, #1 is the point of view Adobe Muse, width of the menu is being proportional to the limit of the browser view, and the width setting clearly shows as '100% '. Screenshot #2, is the exported site looked on Google Chrome, with a small floating menu to the left.

  I searched for an answer for days, but can't find anyone with a similar problem. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
