    Hello

1st reboot and watch again in Device Manager:

    Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
This will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a loose cable or
slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

  • I miss my cd dvd drivers and have problems to find to resettle. Any help?

I miss my cd dvd drivers and have problems to find to resettle. Any help?

Go to the support web site of the company that made the PC (there they are hard inside) or the company that makes the cd/dvd drive itself if its an external drive (USB?). They provide the drivers for their hardware.

Check on your support site relevant to the brand and specific to the model of your PC (or an external drive) and any provision supported drivers or software for the readers, should be there.

  • C drive lack DVD defective discs and drivers

For starters, I ran a number of malware/adware and cleaned scans on my pc. My last Hijack this log was clean.

    1. first problem:

My C drive has lost its drivers. It shows in device with an exclamation point Manager. Windows tries and fails to install on very reboot and it's VERY annoying. I need help trying to get the drivers to install correctly.

I already tried to install the NVIDIA all-in-one driver and it did not work.

Whenever I restart or to try to load the drivers from Device Manager properties, I get the following error:

There was a problem installing this hardware
    ST350064 1AS SCSI Disk Device
An error occurred during the installation of the device
    Access is denied.

    2. second problem:
Two of my dvd players are defective.  Neither one of them will determine what type of disc is inserted (no application icons will appear when a disc is inserted, the drive icon does not change). When I double click on the disc inserted, it goes directly to the file Explorer and does not open in the correct application. I already deleted the filters. I also tried to link types of cd and dvd as well as all audio and video extensions for applications on the right in the tab file types, but I can't fix this problem.

I uninstalled both drives and let drivers charge also, without change. I have run chkdsk /r and SFC/scannow, also no change for each issue.

I am not prepared to do a full reformat.

I use Kaspersky IS full paid version.

Please help me to fix these problems.

Thank you in advance for your help!

  • Satellite A110-231-CD/DVD drivers for Windows 7

    Hi all

I bought my laptop Toshiba Satellite A110-231 in Spain in January 2007. Provided with Windows XP, it has created a "Windows Vista ready" label. I installed Windows Vista and the components of the computer worked well. Now, I just installed Windows 7, but the CD/DVD drive (Pioneer K16A) not be recognized. Guess Windows Vista and Windows 7 have the same system requirements, so how can I I make my DVD player work on this OS?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

What do you mean by saying not recognized?
The CD/DVD drive is not visible in the Device Manager or what?

What the BIOS has said? The STRANGE is recognized in the BIOS?

Generally, the CD/DVD drive using the own Microsoft drivers and it should work with Win XP, Vista and Win 7.

  • missing cd/dvd drivers on the new install of win7

I have a HP Pavillion H8-1230.  Replaced the hard drive with a new 2 to Seagate.  Tried to make a new, clean installation of Windows 7 Pro but I get an error that says: "a required cd/dvd device driver is missing."  I always thought that basic device drivers have been included in Windows, but I guess I'm wrong.  I can't find this driver anywhere.  My CD/DVD-rom is a DVD SuperMulti of HP GH60L burner. Can someone please help?

    Hello

    Try the following.

Using another PC, download driver RAID on the following link.

Storage controller driver - Windows 7 32 bit.

Storage controller driver - Windows 7 64 bit.

Then, if you do not have an extraction utility installed, download and install 7-Zip.  Please note that If you have a 64-bit installation, download and install the Installer x 64 64-bit .msi on the link below.

    http://www.7-zip.org/

Then, right click on the storage controller installation program you download, select Extract 7 - Zip, select the files, and then click Ok.  Copy this file "extract" at the root of a USB or a blank CD key.

When you get to install error message, plug the USB (if you used a CD, remove the installation disc and insert the CD), and then select the option 'Load the Drivers' - navigate to the location on the CD/USB and load the driver.

    Kind regards

  • CDRW/DVD drivers for S1800-921

I'm trying to find the drivers of replacement for CD-RW/dvd drive in my Satellite 1800-921. It is not on the cd I got with the computer (at least I have reinstall all the software that I don't want to do). The update of the driver on this Web site has nothing either.
    Any ideas?
I don't necessarily want new drivers, those original will do, anything to try to make my player works correctly.
    Thank you

    Hi Jonathan,.

If the drivers you need are not on Toshiba website you may be able to get them on the drive manufacturers web site instead.

You can find the brand and model of the Device Manager.

Another option is to Google for the drivers, (even once you will need to know the model and serial numbers.)

  • Satellite A200 27Z CD/DVD drivers Vista need help!

Hi all. I've only had my A200 since a few days now, I downloaded and installed all the updates of Toshiba and Microsoft including SP1. My CD/DVD drive has been shown in the Panel right after that I installed SP1.

The drive worked before and after the installation of SP1. But today for some reason it is not there. When I checked in the device manager says Windows can not the drivers for it, because they may be missing or currupt (code 39).

Can someone tell me please how to fix this problem without having to perform a system restore? I checked Toshiba site and can't seem to find the drivers.

Any help would be welcome. Thank you.

Here's a possible solution, that works very well for most:

Go to Device Manager and remove the drive from the list of devices CD/DVD.

Then start the registry (regedit) and delete the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters completely from the following registry key values:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

After this restart your laptop and Vista will be to reinstall the next time. Normally it works then.
