  Help needed please.

  HP dx2250 microtower, running Windows Vista Home Basic Edition, recently attacked by Vista Antispyware 2010. Norton 360 V3 dealt with rather late the virus, but the fall of the remains.

  I am unable to open any .exe file (program) on the desktop, start menu, or through the browser. I can access the programs in opening a data file, for example, double-click a .doc file opens MS Word, etc.

  I scanned the forums and found a large number of similar problems, but not one that is as complete as this.

  Go to control panel | Default programs | Associate a file type or Protocol with a program.  Then page down for protocols and find the HTTP and HTTPS set IE as default handler protocols.

  Recently, I edited a video for a client and said only to make a file to the DVD release. I provided the customer with a file Mpeg2v and MPA (do not use DVD Mulitplexer) and the customer was confused why I didn't give a single file. Personally I have not used a multiplexer often where I would modify the file format or there is audio. My workflow has worked well for when I do the part of the DVD burning, but that got me thinking, do I use the multiplexer to external customers or not? And what would be the difference?

  You'll save a generation of re-compressing/disable-compressing the audio in any just do once in first... so it is better to have the first deliver the audio separate & video reminder to assemble. Otherwise, you compress the audio in the video file in the export in PrPro, then it is compressed yet because it separates the audio for the re - compress the audio format used by the standard DVD.

  It is not quite terribly awful... BUT... it does nothing useful, and Yes, there is always a minor loss of additional generations of compression/de-compressing... so it does not seek to avoid if possible.

  That is up to the necessary issues between you and your client... it is always good to know precisely how they will use what you produce... in order to offer you the best content most appropriate for them. In this case, of course, you need to know what program they use to the author of the DVD so that you can offer the best content for this program.

  And preventing their return with stupid or... uh... Well, stupid questions. Part of the joy of creating deliverables digital...
